May 7, 2011I searched all over the web including this forum and nothing, sfc /scannow didn't work. There has to be some registry key that is missing or i need to modify.

Mar 11, 2011Like my title read, I can't open any folders in my Windows Explorer with a double click. It gives me the error message "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." This also happens whenever I try to open any drives, such as C: drive. I can however run programs from Windows Explorer, and can right click, then choose open to open folders.
I have already done extensive searching on the subject, tried deleting autorun.ini files, tried some registry fixes, with no luck. I'm obviously running Windows 7, 32-bit, on a HP desktop.

When I open the start menu whether it be with the windows key or mouse click a right click menu pops up and appears to be right clicked inside the search bar, I tested this by copying some text and clicking paste on the auto right click menu.
It stays there until I click something but will come back within 1 second or until I stop holding the mouse button.

When using both my mouse and my touch pad the cursor does a left click without a button being pressed approximately every five seconds.

So ive got the button appearing, and i can get it to open the actual program Notepad, but not create a new text document inside the folder. I dont know if its just a variable i need to add onto the command line "c:windowssystem32

Dec 6, 2008I just upgraded to Windows 7 build 6801 from Vista Ultimate and pleased to says it works fine except for this nagging issue. Whenever i right click anything on my desktop, explorer.exe hangs ("stopped working") and it restarts explorer.exe again.Apparently, it is a common issue and I also had it when I upgraded from XP to VistaI didnt manage to fix it that time but it went away by itself after awhile. Is there any solution for this? Tried a bunch of registry cleaners. Also used a program called ShellExView and disabled all non-M$ context menu items but it still happens.

Nov 10, 2011I recently upgraded my FF 7.0.1 (or whatever the most up-to-date version of 7 is/was) to 8.0 and am noticing an issue. The problem I am experiencing is that when I launch FF (regardless if its done via the start menu or the button pinned to my taskbar), it adds a separate taskbar button (a la previous versions of Windows) instead of how Windows 7 normally handles such things. In addition to this, it also does not reflect having multiple tabs/windows open on the taskbar button (the attached image shows how the button for IE(9) displays the different tabs I have open in it, as well as the vertical lines next to the button which represent the number of tabs/windows open; however, the Firefox button does not function in either way, but you can see in the image that I have 3 tabs open in the browser window).Are these compatibility bugs between Windows 7 and Firefox (that the Mozilla devs need to address)?
