Sony VAIO E Series Keyboard And Mouse Not Working?
Apr 7, 2011I have purchased Sony VAIO E series three months back working without any issues. But after 2 months, the built-in keyboard and mouse not working after windows starts. USB mouse and other features working without any issues. To make the keyboard and mouse, i have should restart the system 2 to 3 times or uninstall the driver for same. The laptop having Windows 7 Home Premium. After the problem, i have reinstalled Windows 7 Enterprise and also did built-in system recover. Still the problem persists. Is the problem related to Windows 7 or with hardware? But once the keyword and mouse drivers uninstalled via device manager working fine. OS is 64 bit

May 29, 2011Our Sony Vaio laptop has several user accounts on it. Today I got an older keyboard with a ps/2 connector at a garage sale and connected it to the vaio with a ps/2 to USB adaptor. It worked for a few minutes, then suddenly the (new) keyboard stopped being recognized. I unplugged the keyboard, and now the vaio laptop keyboard no longer works - it's not recognized. I tried the vaio keyboard troubleshooting software without success.The curious thing is that this problem only exists on this one user account. Other accounts on the vaio work fine and recognize the keyboard, so I've messed up only one account's settings somehow. Other than nuking that account (with lots of personal settings and customizing)

Oct 17, 2009I've only noticed this on Windows 7, I have NO idea what's going on.
I know sometimes when your computer is badly frozen that the keyboard won't respond and the lights won't even respond when you press numlock and capslock.
Well my keyboard works just fine (I'm typing from it now) but the LIGHTS do not! The numlock light is on, the capslock and scroll lock lights are off. They won't change no matter what I do. Same with numlock. The lights stays on even when it's off.
If I press capslock I still get capslock SEE. But the lights won't change. O.o
Obviously it's not a major issue that's inhibiting my experience but it is a little confusing because I can't tell what locks are on or off.
Mouse And Keyboard Frozen - CMOS Reset?
Aug 17, 2012My computer suddenly froze, well it appeared that it had, it was infact just the Keyboard and Mouse. I turned it off manually and re-booted. Lone behold the Keyboard and mouse still don't work. This has happened before and I found a fix for it by following some steps to do something like an electrical reset or something where you turn it on and off and hold a button in for a certain amount of time etc, BUT I can't remember how to do it.

Oct 29, 2012I was working on an email Saturday when my Sony Vaio stopped working & flipped over to the black & white Vaio screen. Since then, I've been able to reboot it once, but it flips right back over to the Vaio screen. At one point, I was able to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu by hitting F8. I tried to restore to the last known good configuration. It got to the Windows logo screen, then went back to the Vaio screen, then went to the "Operating System could not be found" screen.The computer has a One Touch Web Access Without Booting Up feature.

May 23, 2009I have a Sony Vaio vgn-fs810 laptop that is in need of these three drivers and I cannot locate them. After installing 7 today I have issues such as no sleep (just hibernate) and CD drive will not initialize, so these drivers are needed.
Specs:1.5 GHz Intel Celeron M 370 CPU, 400 MHz front side bus, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 graphics controller (128 MB shared memory)
Any help would be great! I was not able to download the proper drivers at the Vaio website Sony eSupport - Electronics I attempted to try the Vista drivers and they did not work.

Dec 2, 2011My vaio 2005 computer allowed me to view and edit video from my sony digital video camera using windows xp. After a bad virus, I had to install windows 7. I used roxio software to try and edit and record my video but the computer didn't recognize the camera. In trying to use windows media player, I was told that I needed a driver for the camera, but in searching the computer and the internet for one, none was found. When I press 'start windows normally' it starts up with vaio logo and sometimes windows logo, but then stops and redirects me to a page that is blue to check for problems, but stays on this for hours, never resolving the issue. The same problem would occur, it wouldn't print. In both cases, reinstalling the printer allows it to print once, but if the device goes into standby, I can never print to it again from the Sony Vaio. I have two other laptops, running Windows Vista and Windows 7 respectively, and both can print to both printers just fine.

May 5, 2012Win7 64 wont start on a Sony Vaio. It will sometimes get to the desktop and seconds later it shuts down. No logout, just a black screen total shutoff. when restarted the black screen popped up again but this time it was with the message "windows failed to start" and the options were either "launch startup repair" or start windows normally. I chose "launch startup repair".
The startup again goes to the immediate shutdown, more quickly each time it is tried. I have gotten into safe mode and performed a memory and disk check which were ok. It seems to go farther into the startup after it has been shutdown for a while.

Apr 11, 2012I have a vaio and it has had windows 7 64 from new, and just recently it has been freezing with no errors.What happens: when i turn it on it starts normally and loads windows, then aftr about 1 minute it locks up as if it is trying to open something. The light on the laptop is solid orange as if it is busy doing something, but if i open task manager it says 5% cpu usage and the ram is using only 1.5 gigs.If i leave the computer on for 1-2 hours it will un freeze and be totally normal again.It did it once at first and i removed the program that i thought was causing it and it didnt happen again for a few days until i updated windows.

May 3, 2012My Sony Vaio froze on me and I shut it down by the power off button As soon as I rebooted it would go to the windows 7 loading screen and then go to a blue screen! I tried to restore my computer with the Sony restore disk. It would load then go to the blue screen and the mouse is present but it doesn't do anything from there! Sometimes it would bring up the command prompt and the I cursor blinks and nothing happens Then I tried to attemped and restore with Windows 7 disk and samething happens it loads and instead of a blue screen it is black with a mouse and doesn't do anything I tried pressing F12 and it says Check cable connection pme-mof: exiting intel pxe rom.
When I don't put a disk in it goes to a black screen that says If windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, start up repair can help diagnose it!
