View 2 RepliesI have a Commodore 64x Extreme with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit operating system installed on it.
My problem is that every time I try to insert a disc into the internal slimline Blu-Ray Disc drive (be it a CD, DVD or BD) the drive simply ejects it immediately.
I've got the most updated driver installed for it, and Windows claims that the device is working properly.
I have connect my pc to the Samsung player using an ethernet cable to the pc and blue-ray. It then displays devices on the tv it shows my pc and users. When I hit enter on the Blue-Ray to access the PC I get this message.Request cannot be completed. MEDIA PLAY will be returned to the main screeen

About 2 weeks after I installed a new piece of hardware (an ATI TV Wonder 650 pcie to be precise) my keyboard started acting funny. Sometimes it would randomly turn off. Other times it would randomly type slashes. After about 2 days of that I started getting blue screens when using flash player. Things gradually got worse until I couldn't even access a file without a blue screen. Throughout that time I attempted to figure out the problem, but couldn't.
Today I finally reinstalled Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Things were going rather well, except that windows was having trouble recognizing the tv tuner card, but everything was running well regardless. I left the house with my computer running for about an hour and when I returned my computer had blue-screened and restarted itself. I took out the tuner card hoping it was the problem, but a while later the computer again blue screened while doing a restart.

I have obviously deleted lots of stuff I am not suppose to delete as I have had nothing but pc problems ever since. My host machine is Windows XP SP3 Guest OS is Scientific Linux When I go to verify which processes are running it only shows vmnat.exe running but not vmnetdhcp.exe so I try to see if I can install vmnetdhcp.exe but get the pop-up window message "DllRegisterServer entry point was not found".

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a nokia E66 to connect to the internet at home. My pc at home is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I am currently using nokia pc suite 7.1.40.1. All the software installed without any problems. The problem that I am having is that after I connect to the internet, I can only roughly download / upload about 5MB of data and the connection will time out. I do not get any error messages that is did timeout. The only way I know this is that I stop seeing data being transferred in Network properties.
I then open my e-mail client to see If I can connect with a POP account and then I get an error saying it could not connect to the e-mail account. I then have to disconnect and reconnect and try again. This does not seem to affect web browsing though, only when I am downloading files. Like Steam will start update and stop, windows updates will start download and stop and so on.
I initially thought it was a problem with the network operator, but when I boot back in xp (my pc is set up to dual boot between xp and 7) every thing works fine. No download time outs. Is it the nokia software that is not supporting 7 100% yet or am I missing something else?
I wanted to ask if it is possible to set Windows media player to open as the default player inside media center.The reason that I ask this is that I find media center sound is very low quality. Every once in a while (ranging 3 minutes - 3 hours) my computer will blue screen out with a mention of afd.sys. This usually happens when I try to do something with the network (ex: Skype, Trillian, etc.).

I avoid Media Center all together for other reasons. But I have other video formats (.mkv, .mp4, .flv, .webm, .mov) and it seems like VLC can handle them all. Any one else have any other opinions or options for someone like me who uses multiple video file formats other than just .avi?

I run windows 7 home premium and this morning for no apparent reason when I plugged in my USB stick my computer blue screened, I tried restarting it and the same thing happened, I tested my usb on a different computer and it was fine, I tired both ports on my laptop and the same thing happened on both. The same thing happened when I plugged in a different usb stick, but the usb mouse and webcam work fine.
