I have Skydrive for Windows installed. Copied a folder to the Skydrive location, shows up as a Skydrive sub-folder. All the files in the folder were immediately uploaded to Skydrive, but new files are not being uploaded.

Sometimes though I seem to get edits (deletions and overwrites) that I really do not want. Is there a better solution for syncing large amounts of files? I am starting to try out using SkyDrive, but I�m not totally comfortable with putting sensitive documents online, also I often use my notebook without any internet access and I would like to be able to have a local copy available. Optimally I would like to be able to have a master drive that both desktop and notebook sync their local versions to.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have SkyDrive on Windows 7 but I have no icon in my toolbar (at the bottom right hand side) just one on my desktop screen. I might have deleted it somehow. But now I notice that my files are not updating when I go to my iPad and launch Windows Live. I go back to make sure fetch is turned on on my desktop SkyDrive, but without an icon, I can't find it or settings, the furthest I get is something about a Group policy might not be allowing it and to see my administrator. I am on a wireless router.

However, to access these files with a web browser I have to go to 'devices', not the more prominent 'SkyDrive' tab in Hotmail. Why is this? Why are there two different SkyDrives and is there any way to get them in the same place?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm running a windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and for some movies, the video will start in-sync for about 40 minutes, then slowly get farther and farther out of sync, making watching the video un-watchable after another 10 minutes. but it does not do this with all video types. it also does not do this with netflix, Internet, or anything else online.
i'm running a geforce gtx 660m, all drivers are up to date. the files that work are: mp4, files that don't work are: mkv, avi
those are the only files i have tried. it's done this since i got this computer a couple months ago

Whatever is in that desktop folder, however the contents are organized--that's what gets synched up to the SkyDrive Interwebs.which means that my entire photo collection, all 13GB of it, needs to be copied into the desktop SkyDrive folder.Now, I also have a Windows Live Photo Gallery on here- never used. i use BitLord to download random stuff anyways the Downloads Folder Shows up like this : Now when i open Nero up it shows this Weird thing is if i hover over the folder from normal window it says the Downloads folder is only 800mb (as it is only showing me one item) yet from Nero it says the folder is over 9 Gigs. Im set as Owner of the folder and i have all permissions set for me however i am still unable to see these files outside of nero and i don't know why.When i go and try to change the permissions on the folders (the locked ones) windows says the files/folders doesn't exist...

The correct time is shown, but the programmes are all a few hours out. If I select a channel, the correct programme shows, but when I go back to the EPG, they are all out of bonk again.
My parents are like old dogs, they are hard to teach. It took me a long time to get them figured out on Windows XP. Just recently their old computer went south. I was able to salvage everything off the old hard drive but rather than to invest in old computer parts and keep Windows XP running, I went with a new computer routeHowever Windows Live Mail 2011 is giving me and my parents headaches.Personally I don't like the SkyDrive feature. For some reason it never works on my Android tablet and some of my parent's family also had trouble getting pictures via SkyDrive. When I use my desktop computer to view the picture, the picture looks like someone smeared Vaseline all over it during resize. The quality didn't degrade like that when used with older email program and the resize option of the past.
Unfortunately it seems Microsoft saw fit to break what worked for more than 20 years and shove in a cloud type system with no easy option to opt out. So my parents are having a hard time using Windows Live Mail 2011.What they do: they go through My Picture folder and select multiple pictures, then click send to emailThey get the option to resize the pictures and then it's sent as attachment.However WLM does not allow photo sent as attachment like this anymoreThe solutions I found so far including making email first, then selecting insert but that does not offer enough resizing option or easy way to mass resize all at once, and selecting attach file does not offer any resize option. The other trick of making a dummy text file then selecting it along the picture worked but that's still extra step for my parents to do and I still haven't be able to "train" them to either make new dummy file for every new picture folder they created or copying over existing dummy file into every new picture folders.Is there a new way found yet, or maybe with WLM 2012 (if it's released very soon) that allows me to completely turn off SkyDrive and let my parent use WLM the same was as older Microsoft email program? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just done a clean install of Win 7 Pro 64. I have set up four accounts and for each one I have moved the user folders to a separate hard drive by using the Right Click Properties > Location > Move. I have done this for the following folders:
- Desktop
- Downloads
- My Documents
- Favorites
- Links
- My Music
- My Pictures
- Videos
I have done it exactly the same way on each account (and more than once! I've been imaging the disk and have restored backwards a few times.)
The problem is, on three of the accounts, when I move the My Music, My Pictures, and Videos then they do move correctly but three rogue folders appear named Music, Pictures and Videos. And I can't delete then since they are system folders.
But the weird thing is that this does not happen on one of the accounts!

In Windows 7 how can I change "Folders View" for individual folders without changing them system wide. For example if I select "always show icons" all my folders are set this way, and that's fine. But there are a few folders I have containing jpeg images, and I want to view those as "thumbnails" without effecting the others which are set to always show icons.
This was very easy to do in Windows XP but I can't figure out how to do it in Windows 7.
i'm using windows 7 32-bit, i7 processor, 4gb ram, onboard audio (with realtek) and a geforce gt220 video card.when i play a video the audio is always faster than the video. i use umplayer, so fortunately i can use the plus or minus keys to sync everything up. however on Internet or other online videos it's almost always out of sync, as well as when i watch something streamed from my pc to my xbox using windows media center. i'm thinking it's either a windows 7 problem or a hardware problem. i've googled it and found nothing similar with a solution.oh, and i use avira anti-virus, not norton or mcafee.

I have email accounts set up in Windows Live Mail on my work computer and need to sync those with accounts on my personal. I've created the account on my personal and have received all the emails in my inbox... but is there any way to export and import a whole account so the sub folders are synced too?
