Samsung SyncMaster 943NWX Monitor Resolution Problems
I really hope that you can help me. I installed Windows 7 RC and after install my monitor resolution is set to 800x600. If I try to raise it, I get just one more option and when selecting it, I get a black vertical bar on the right of the monitor with still very bad resolution.
My Display Adapter is listed as Intel (R) 82865 G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation XDDM)
and my Monitor is: SyncMaster 943 NW/943 NWX/ NW 1943/NWX 1943.

Samsung SyncMaster 943NWX Monitor Problems
I have an old HP Pavilion t730m desktop pc. It has an onboard Intel 82865 G Graphics Controller, with a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 943NW lcd monitor and 2.0 GB Ram and Pentium 4. Currently it is running on Windows Vista Ultimate without Aero Effects, but everything else is working perfectly. I would like to upgrade to Windows 7, as a matter of fact I've done it twice now, but whenever I do it I have monitor resolution problems, either I'm stuck with an 800X600 resolution or other options but not the current resolution of 1440x900 that looks great. So I have restored my backup of the Vista installation. Sometimes when I change the monitor resolution, I get an incomplete screen display and a black bar on the right end of the monitor. I would really like to upgrade to Windows 7 since my computer seems to run better than with Vista, but the screen resolution is very annoying.

Cannot Set Resolution On Samsung SyncMaster
Win7 recognized the first Samsung SyncMaster on this machine (204BW) and set it properly to 1680 x 1050. But the second SyncMaster (206BW) was showing up as a Generic display. Even after downloading the drivers for teh 206BW and setting them to be used for the second display, I still cannot get Win7 to allow me to set it to 1680 x 1050 so that I can duplicate the displays (one's inside a sound booth, one's outside, so they need to be duplicated, not extended). Anybody run into a similar problem and know how to fix it? The displays are running off of a Radeon X1600 series video card.

Samsung Syncmaster 2343bwx No Native Resolution
i just purchased this monitor, and to keep this simple, windows 7 doesnt recognise my monitor as a samsung. it just says generic pnp, but wont let me go above a resolution of 1280 x 720. the native resolution on this monitor is 2048 x 1152. i have a BFG GTX 280 video card so thats no issue there. all my drivers are up to date, and i also tried forcing a driver thats pre loaded with windows, but nothing works. anyone have any ideas? EDIT: also tried forcing a custom rez through NVIDIA CP- no go.

Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW Resolution Problem
I'm using Windows 7 RC Build 7100. I have a HIS ATI Radeon HD 4770 graphics card and a Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW monitor (native resolution of 1680x1050 @ 60 Hz) and I can't choose resolutions higher than 1600x1200. I've installed the latest ATI driver but I can't find a Windows 7 driver for my monitor... Any solutions?

Samsung Syncmaster 933SN And Native Resolution
My monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 933SN won't display at it's native resolution which is 1360 x 768. It will only display at 1024 x 768 which only takes up 2/3rd's of the screen real estate! I have the most updated driver for the monitor, 3.0.0.0 from Samsung, which says it works on XP, and VISTA 32/64, but for some reason Windows 7 isn't recognizing the native resolution. It was recognized easily on Windows Xp when I bought it a few months ago, so what can I do?

Samsung Syncmaster 2233SW Monitor Problem With Games
When trying to play my games, the monitor goes blank then a square appears telling me the Analog is not operating at max ... I went in and changed to recommended setting thru Control Panel display. Still keeps dropping me out of games. I can reset by using the monitor controls for "Auto Adjust", but within 2 minutes, the same thing keeps happening.

Can't Set Native Resolution For Samsung 22 Monitor
I don't know whether this is a Windows 7 problem or a Catalyst problem, but here goes... I have installed Windows 7 (clean) and the latest Catalyst drivers for my ATI HD4850 card. My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW, a 22" panel with a native res of 1680 x 1050. I have installed the monitor driver from Samsung's website and the monitor is now showing correctly in device manager. When I right click on the desktop and choose "screen resolution", the "change the appearance of your display" screen offers only "display device on DVI" ion the drop down menu, not the Samsung monitor, and does not offer me the native resolution. The nearest is 1440 x 900. If I click "advanced" I'm taken to the catalyst driver screen which correctly identifies the monitor, but bizarrely still offers only the same choices of resolution as the Windows 7 screen. 1680 x 1050 just isn't there. Can anyone help me get my monitor to run at native res in Windows 7?

Samsung SyncMaster 932MW
Here's my problem: when I turn my pc to sleep mode, everything is fine, but when I turn it back on it doesn't recognize my monitor anymore and the resolution is much to low. I've tried to put it back in control panel, but the right resolution isn't in there. But, I've discovered that if you put it into sleep mode again and wake it up, it works perfectly again. Anyone who can help me solve this problem? It's very annoying. Samsung Syncmaster 2243bwx Issue
Appears to be a driver issue with my Lenovo X61 laptop when using the Samsung Syncmaster 2243bwx as an additional display. Anybody else running into this issue? The native resolution is too large and is mishandled and the resolution 1440 x 900 which fits correctly produces the familiar nonnative screen res look. So the real issue is that the native resolution is mishandled . Anybody seen something similar and have a fix?

Syncmaster 2032bw Monitor Driver
i try to install the driver for my new samsung syncmaster 2032bw but it keeps telling me that it has the best driver when it either automatically installs the pnp drivers or the drivers for a syncmaster 206b normally i would just accept it, but the only clear resolution my screen will do with the bad drivers is 1280x960 and my screen has a max res of 1680x1050 please help it just won't install the right drivers even though i have them!

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing. Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color. This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem. Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

Samsung T260HD Monitor Problem
i just bought a new monitor,Samsung T260HD....and i recently upgraded my sony vaio VGN-CR220E to win7 RC.....now my monitor doesnt work...idk if its the driver issue coz there is generic driver installed...the laptop recognizes that there is "Syncmaster" connected but nothin appears in the monitor....please help if anyone has any idea wat i m missing.

Samsung 2233sw Monitor Driver Issue
JUst installed Win7 64 bit - the Vista 64 monitor monitor driver from samsung won't install. This monitor file is a .exe from Samsung and runs fine on Vista64 Ultimate but under windows 7 it says it can't find the driver file. Tried compatibility mode to Vista SP1 - same result. Any ideas? I have a dual monitor setup running from a GeForce 8800GT. My primary monitor is a 19" viewsonic CRT and my second monitor is a 17" Samsung CRT both using the DVI->VGA dongles. Previous to installing Windows 7 x64, I was running Vista x64 and was able to set my Samsung monitor to a resolution of 1152x864 at 75Hz. However, now I simply cannot. If I set the resolution to 1152x864, Windows forces down the refresh rate to 60Hz and I can't seem to find a work around. I've updated the nVidia drivers to the newest version, 186.18 as of this posting, but to no avail. Any ideas what changed between Vista x64 and 7 x64? I'm also encountering issues with which monitor is the primary desktop and which is the extension when resuming from sleep. They sometimes flip flop on me when I wake the computer from a sleep and the resolutions are all changed as well. Occassionally clicking the "Detect" button in the Screen resolution menu will fix the issue. Other times, I need to reboot. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Second Monitor Does Not Have Correct Resolution
I have a tablet pc that I have a monitor attached to when it is docked. The monitor is an Envision Profession Series and has a top resolution of 1280 x 1024 but Window 7 only gives me the choice of 1024 x 768. The Graphics are intergrated Mobile Intel(R) Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation-WDDM 1.0) Anyone had the same issue or luck in finding a driver for this chipset?

Incorrect Resolution On Monitor
I am using a kvm switch to work between two computers. One is running Vista and the other runs Windows 7. Both use the same monitor. The correct resolution for the monitor is 1280x960. That works well when I am running the Vista pc. That monitor driver is listed as 6.0.6001.18000 from 6/21/2006. When I switch to the Windows 7 pc, the resolution is set to 1280x1024. When I try to change the resolution, 1280x960 is not listed as an option. It goes from 1280x1024 to 1280x768. The monitor driver in Windows 7 (the same monitor) is listed as 6.1.7100.0 from 6/21/2006. The monitor is a Samsung 932B. I'm not sure how to go about fixing this, but I plan on switching to Windows 7 as soon as possible and hope to have the problem resolved by then.

Monitor And Resolution Reset On Startup
I've got Windows 7 Ultimate (x64), my graphics card is an ATi 4670HD and my widescreen monitor is a 22inch Samsung SyncMaster 225MW. Everything looks and works perfect. When I go to display, I click detect, and ofcourse it finds my monitor and sets it to its native resolutiob (1680*1050.) But when I restart my computer, it will be set back to 1024*768 and it will be listed as the generic monitor. The latest ATi drivers are installed on a fresh copy of Windows 7 and there were no hitches at all. Also to add, I've got 2 seperate DVI cables used to make sure the cable wasn't at fault and they both give me the same result. What is the problem? This is one I can't quite get my head around.

Resolution Not Sticking On LCD Monitor
Grandma's computer - trying to troubleshoot from Chicago for a computer located in California. About to kill myself. Please help. Graphics card on computer is an integrated Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family adapter. I purchased a VGA splitter so that she can connect it to her LCD monitor and Plasma TV. The monitor's native resolution is 1680 x 1050. HDTV is 1280 x 768. My grandma complained that the resolution was messed up (I later learned that it was set to 800 x 600). I asked her to set the resolution to 1680 x 1050, but when she does, she gets the message that "the current input timing is not supported by the monitor display." I checked the refresh rate -- it was set to 60hz. None of the other 1.6 ratio resolutions would even show up on the available list of resolutions. I had her plug the LCD monitor directly into the computer (sans splitter). No error message. The resolution stuck right away. So, how do I use this splitter and still get 1680 x 1050 on her LCD? I don't even want to know what will happen to the TV's resolution when we do this, but I can pray.

Monitor Resolution Options Incorrect
I recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and everything went flawlessly, but I am only allowed to run the monitor as a Generic Non-PnP Monitor. (Vista and XP always recognized it as a Westinghouse LCM-22w3) I am only allowed up to 1440x900 resolution. ( Although 1680x2100 appears on the resolution drop down) this is a Compaq SR5710y with GeForce 6150SE nForce430 on board video. I have been to the Nvidia site and installed 3 levels back of drivers, per suggestions to no avail. I have also picked up GeForce 7200GS and installed, but get the same results. I have looked at many forums, seeing this issues, but they all point to drivers. Changing drivers for both the onboard graphics and the PC Express card contiue to provide the same results.....Â
