View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone managed to operate Microtek's ScanMaker 3880 on Windows 7 or Vista? I have tested both accompanying drivers and the latest drivers online with no luck. The OSs just do not recognize the scanner which shows up as unknown device in Device Manager. This is despite the fact that the driver for Win 7 is part of the download and is supposed to be 'Vista Certified'. If you have ever got the scanner running, please drop a message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a microtek scanmaker 6800. does anyone know how to make it work in win 7 x86?
Answer:-
Microtek has never updated its drivers for vista or Win7, you may be able to run it in compatible mode or on a WinXP virtual drive. I have the same problem with my Scanmaker V6UPL.

So I have a Laptop with 4gb of DDR2-800 SDRAM
I have done the winsat mem test and get a result of 3700 mb/s on average.
I also notice that my memory is never above 2gb used.
So whats the deal? is my system running the way it should be memory wise? Do allot of people use only half their memory? is 3700mb/s what is to be expected from my memory? Because I see ALLOT faster times from the memory assessment sticky post (I know that some of them are from monster systems and you cant compare...but 3700 seems slow compared to others.

Microsoft says to "fix" this by uninstalling Office 2010 and installing the 32 bit version! My question is are there any 3rd-party sync programs that will work with Windows 7 64 bit and Microsoft Office Outlook 64 bit and Windows Mobile 6.5 devices? I don't need to sync email but I do need to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks. And yes, I am aware that the iphone will sync with it! Silly Microsoft. View 6 Replies View RelatedCan I boot Windows 7 64bit on a 32bit processor if the Windows installation took place on a 64bit processor?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and never had any problem installing 64-bit programs.
Now, when a try to install any 64-bit programs it shows a message of incompatible version of the program with the running Windows, but my Windows 7 is 64 bits.
My computer got the BootMGR is missing problem, which I have had in the past which is not that big. I insert the Windows 7 64 Ultimate disk it starts up everything fine, press repair my computer and it finds the installation. But when I press on it and next it has an error pop up saying "This version of system recovery options is not conpattble with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that i compatible with this version of Windows." If I dont select anything but press next it allows me to look at the screen Im supposed to, but if I go to command prompt or click autmatically repair nothing will be saved or changed. This is the same disc I installed Windows with and repaired it several times. But I did have to reset BIOS earlier so this may have affected something.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI want to upgrade from the ancient Windows XP to 7. I currently have 2GB in memory (i have more in stock, but with the limitations on the 32-bit client, it won't affect anything). I want a total of 8GB Memory to have a smoother time with my computer.According to my specs, I am running a AMD Athlon x2 250. I am currently running Windows XP 32-bit. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit. I know that my CPU is in the X86 family. As with that, I will not be able to run the 64-bit version of Windows 7. But according to spec of the CPU, it says it has 64-bit support.

-CPU: Intel Pentium E2160 @ 1.80 GHz
-RAM: 2gb DDR (PC2-5300), 333 MHz
I am currently running on windows Vista at 32bit
Both in window properties and task manager, system is displaying 2.73gb, although i have 4gb installed. Bios shows all memory working in dual channel mode, and CPUZ displays all 4 sticks present. I had this problem when i was on 32bit.
The OS is a clean install, not upgrade. Version is Ultimate 64bit , SP1. Using andAMD 4400+ @ stock 2.20GHz.
I have been having issues with the dreaded "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." and have gone through the gambit of solutions posted on the web with no success.
While looking through the event viewer i found that exactly 1 second before every single "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." error.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm planning to install windows 7 64 bit on my computer, so i did some research. By downloading the win 7 upgrade advisor they said my computer is ready for upgrade but my biggest concern is that my VGA(winfast gtx 280) doesn't seem to have windows 7 driver and i lost the cd also(but it's downloadable). The easy transfer from microsoft is also my concern because my computer is infected with a bunch of viruses, and i definitely don't want to bring them with me.
My full specs:
-Intel core 2 quad Q9550
-Mobo(forgot what it was)
-V-gen DDR2 2GbX2

I just upgraded my cpu, mobo, ram and HDD recently and I am having some issues. I have the Phenom ll 3.2ghz 1090T amd cpu with the ASRock 970 Extreme 3 mobo with 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance ram. My problem is that when I try to use my ram, my pc freezes on the Starting windows screen while the bubbles are coming together to make the microsoft logo. I am using my old ram that is a 2gb 1333 ram. I have another stick of the same ram but I am unable to use that as well. My OS has all its updates and I am completely stuck right now and a lil frustrated. I have consulted many people and nothing has worked.
