View 3 Replies View Relatedvizio tv has "rgb pc" connector as well as an audio port. I am told to hook rgb(VGA) cable from acer pc directly to the rgb port on tv. In addition, I am told to hook up a stero mini jack cable to the audio port. My question is whether this is the way it should be done. Why does the tv have 2 HDMI jacks if you aren't going to use them?
Wouldn't the HDMI connection be much clearer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping to be able to stream certain a certain program(s) to my HDTV. This cable provider we just switched to does not offer international channels (in this case Italy's RAI international). Is it possible to hook a PC up to a TV for the sole purpose of streaming that channel? I know there are several sites that let me stream that channel. What hardware would I need? Do I need to worry about graphics card limitations? Internet connectivity won't be an issue. Would I need a remote control or a certain software package for this? Will TV have to have certain adapters to act as the monitor? Are there any software packages that act as a DVR?The TV in question is a Panasonic Viera, 36" I believe. The side connections are HDMI, RCA Vid/Aud and the has HDMI, component in and Video in.

Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation." I have tried it with multiple iso burns on different dvds from the download I got of it, redownloading it from the official downloader, and now have tried the dvd that came in the mail, to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've done a lot of Windows 7 upgrades for people and I've noticed that I've never had to enter any kind of key when upgrading a properly activated copy of Vista, I think even during clean installs...
Does it activate automatically or is it just a matter of it waiting a week before yelling at you about it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to install Windows 7 Professional x86 several times, and always encounter the same problem.
I downloaded Windows 7 via the MSDN Academic Alliance and then copied all files to a recently reformatted 4Gb USB stick.
Then I changed the BIOS settings on my computer to boot from the USB drive, and it boots and then starts. When i press on the Install button however, it says its starting the install but then quickly and the following message appears;
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step." The message also allows me to browse for said missing drivers, but i cant find any drivers anywhere.
After selecting add a new printer, then selecting the 2605dn, I didn't see this model in the HP printer list. But if I clicked the Windows update button then it showed up and installed fine. However, to get duplex printing to work I had to right click the printer and select Printer Properties, then Device settings and installable options, then select duplex unit installed.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an AMD athlon 64 x2 dual-core TK-53 processor but i can't find an driver for the coprocessor not even on the offical site. Windows say's in the device manager that it isn't working properly because there are no drivers installed.
I am getting this message... The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
This is resulting in my laptop in crashing regularly and windows tries to recover the display driver.
I have a HP dv6525 with 7150M / nForce 630m - driver version 7.15.11.7948.
Running Win 7 Pro x32 bit.
Here are my current computer specs:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.60GHz
2.00 GB RAM
32-bit Operating System
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
I understand 2.00 GB is not a good amount for Skyrim as it continuously lags and freezes. What I need to know is how much RAM and/or other parts could I upgrade to make it run nice and smoothly, with hardly any if not no lagg at all? Also my motherboard has 4 slots for RAM, would it be possible to run 8GB ram on a 32-bit system?
This is really a non-important issue but I still will like to know how to use this feature. I have Windows 7 Build 7100, I have been able to set everything else with easy but I can not find a way to have or set a password when I wake up the PC from my screensaver. The "Require a Password" is ticked though.
Anybody else?
I keep getting this message which says that Additional log on information is required.Sometimes i get this message when i boot windows or sometimes when i logoff and log into windows again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've gotten the Windows 7 RC 7100 x86 iso burned to a DvD. I have a spare HDD (30gb). I unplugged my main (XP) HDD so I wouldn't have an conflicting problems (if any) during the install.
I put in the CD and rebooted. I booted from the CD and went through the install process. It all went well, no problems, it made its main partition with the reserved system partition on the HDD.
I have the same PC config as a Core i5 2400 3.1Ghz,Intel DH67BL,4GB RAM DDR3 1333Mhz(2x2GB Corsair,Kingston),1TB Seagate 7200.14 HDD with no add-on cards. For some days I am not going to "play" graphics intensive games like Call Of Duty series,Crysis,Assassin's Creed series etc.So I took graphics card(XFX GT 240 1GB GDDR5) from PC and kept in it's box with electrostatic bag and silica gel and I hope it will remain in good condition for a long time.By the time,I use Intel HD Graphics 2000 Series and I think it will be sufficient for my current activities which include just watching HD movies and playing "chess titans" and "minesweeper".Why I did this becuase I just need to save power
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been assured that the Windows 7 Ultimate installed on this computer is a genuine copy and am informed that is indicated in Control Panel/System.The CPU and Motherboard were recently upgraded with with the Windows 7 installation in place. I was under the impression that major hardware changes required re-activation. The owner (I have not seen the computer as yet) states that wasn't required but now programs like FSX and some related flight sim addons do not now work.Rumor has suggested that computer repairman that normally works on this computer has in the past installed pirated software on other computers.Maybe I am a little suspicious as I suggested that the computer should be reformatted, Windows 7 Ultimate re-installed and we go from there. That suggestion was rejected and I am only required to fix FSX and associated software.
I am aware roughly the date when the hardware updates were carried out and for piece of mind would like to know when the activation was carried out and if it was legal. My question is (and apologies for lengthy post): is the date of activation available via the Registry? and what other options are available to check if the copy of Windows 7 is lega
