Repeated Crashing Of Windows Explorer On Start-Up, Only Opens In Safe Mode

I know this topic is similar to a number of others that have been posted before but i have not been able to successfully apply any of the solutions to the posts i have found addressing this issue.
It began happening after downloading an .mkv file. initially exp crashed and asked to restart. Did so and all good apart from occasional crashing and restarting.
Now turned lap-top on again and it won't even finish restarting before crashing, and this time there is no escaping the loop. Tried a restore from before the file was there but for some reason this didn't make any difference!
Currently in safe mode, have disabled all non ms services and all start-up items using msconfig and restarted normally - didn't change anything.
Ran CCleaner and cleaned out temp files and registry and still no change.
After found this site downloaded and ran SF diag tool as instructed in FAQ and copied all 8 files except Minidump folder which is apparently empty. Remaining files attached.
One person has suggested repairing using Windows Installer dvd this doesn't help me as OS was pre-installed and I don't have a DVD.

After downloading windows 7 on my laptop, it will not lof off/shut down y itself you have t power it down manually and it always comes up to start windows normally or in safe mode when you turn it back on. Also when it goes in to power save/sleep mode most of the time in order to come back on you have to force shut down and turn back on.

my pc opens in safe mode by itself,i tryed to restore the pc with delldata safe or something like that then the pc restored and format,,now i opens i push start windows normally and opens in safe mode then it writes"Prepearing ur computer for it first use"then it writes cant install or something like this windows 7 cause pc is in safe mode restart the pc"and i restart and again is same thing again and again

I am using acer laptop,intel Pentium processor,windows7 professional os,my problem is windows is not starting normally and is running safe-mode.when entering normal mode it is displaying "welcome" after entering password "Please wait",it takes a long time to starting window and i'm waiting more than 24 hours but its not starting window normally...but it starting safe mode.

My PC keeps crashing in random intervals. The first is, it won't even boot, second it will freeze at splash screen, third is the most annoying which is works for five minutes then freezes. An there's a fourth which is rare, bring up a game and then freezes.

I have a Laptop HP pavilion Dv4 my graphics card is AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200, my processor is AMD Turion(tm) II dual core mobile M500. The thing is i was playing Tropico 4 and i paused it then it began to mix pixels i couldn't see nothing, then i restarted and this is what happens:I cant see nothing, all is mixed up. on safe mode runs well.I played driver san francisco, fallout new vegas before and any of this happened.

i bought my hp pavilion dv6 laptop in 2010 and the warranty went out on 2011, i turn on my laptop and i only get the quick web. Every time i try to start window it tells me it cant. i can not even get on safe mode. it asks me to repair my computer but every time i click on that i get a blank blue screen (baby blue color). i have tried to go on safe mode it wont let me, i tried to go on safe mode command prompt and it still wont let me,

Anyone had similar problems with The Sims 3 crashing computer to the safe mode screen? Been playing Sims on my laptop for couple of years and everything was fine until I installed a new game. Im not sure whether there is a windows update which is interferring or not. Anyone experience anything? There is nothing wrong with my graphics card and my fan isnt overheating. My dad works in IT and we have basically pulled apart the laptop and rebuilt it and it still crashes when The Sims 3 is installed.

am using windows 7 but from today evening onwards, my computer has gone into a loop where it keeps restarting explorer time and again. And am not able to do anything.This problem is present even in safe mode.I tried fixing it by deselecting all the startup user application after using msconfig cmd.in safe mode.I saw a pattern in the startup bar that every time explorer restarts it tries to open network connections. hence i disabled all network services but again same story.

Got a nice comp about a year ago off craigslist and havent had a single issue with it until now. I am not your typical "oh-you-mean-I-have-to-plug-it-in-to-work" end user, but neither am I an "expert". Especially in this case I'm in way over my head; a few days ago I went to slave up a buddy's HD. The mistake here was that I had always worked with ATA, not SATA. Yes, I was a temporary idiot, and no, I don't remember WHAT I was thinking. Whatever was or wasn't going through my head, I hooked up the second drive to the second clip on the (belt?). Everything started as usual until the windows loading bar; after the bar, I got a black screen, and then the computer shut itself off.On attempt #2 to startup (and removing the second hard drive), before the loading bar, I get a prompt for "Windows startup repair" or "Start windows normally". Option #1 results in "windows is loading files" for about 10 seconds, then black screen, then computer shuts itself off again. Option #2 just results in windows loading bar, black screen, then computer shuts itself off.

Msg: SCSI_0-000_DISK_GENERIC-_SD/MMC - Target not ready
After running diagnostics specifically towards this, it consistently fails the Confidence Test and consistently passes the Device Self Test (the Read Test and Verify Test options are greyed out).I've defaulted everything in the BIOS (although it says my HD is in a Raid setting, which as I understand it is for synching multiple HDs together, but the only option to change it to is ATA, which I know my HD is not). I have tried bare-bonesing the startup as well, but running only microsoft stuff I still get the same results as above, and I dont know enough to risk turning off anymore startup stuff.
The most confusing part of all is when I broke down and just decided to reformat the drive and start from scratch. Again, I could only boot from the Windows 7 CD in safe mode, and while in there I reformatted the main drive (there are 3 partitions; OEM, Recovery, and the Main). I have done this process multiple times, but the only thing I get even after reformatting the drive is more OS to choose from when starting the comp.As for computer stats I dont remember everything off the top of my head, and can't get past the setup screen now on windows, so I dont know how to check. From the dell website comes this mess: Dell Technical Support Home Page / Dell Troubleshooting Search Other than that what I can remember is:8gig ram, quadcore (cant remember gHZ), 1mb ATI Radeon vid card, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Sorry if this isn't enough, if anyone knows of a way I can check for further info I'll be happy to oblige.

Yesterday, I added malware bytes protection and also last night installed avg 2012. Ran scans, everything was moving faster. Shut down last night...and this morning windows will not come on in normal or safe mode. When try to start in safe mode it says STOP: c0000135 program cannot start %hs is missing. On another post with similar code it had a link to put on usb drive and to put in infected laptop and restart with f8. When I did that it said no bootable partition in table. When usb is not in it just goes back to stop message. I have a dell inspiron core i3 (I don't know if that matters). I have tried running restore to previous time and it did not work. when i click on repair it goes to the launch window or start in safe mode option?

At any rate, I just got myself a new ASUS laptop running windows 7 64-bit. Now I had no problems with it setting up Firefox, installing antivirus or installing the host of windows updates.What did happen is that when I tried to reboot (for the second time, first time wasn't a problem) it gave me a screen called "configuring windows features". Now I at this point I cried out a few curses and went to have something to eat.When I returned, half an hour later, the progress was still at 15%, the same as when I left it. Obviously having frozen up, I gave it a quick search. People with similar problems with windows updates reccomended forcing a powerdown despite the warning.After waiting for another half hour I did just that. Now Windows is refusing to start at all. It just sits at the "starting Windows" screen. Safe mode gets stuck on the screen with the list of drivers and restoration tools just gives me a black screen.

I tried to install Internet Explorer 9 for testing a website. It prompted me to restart after the install, so I did. It never started back up. Now my computer will not boot into windows except in safe mode and system restore doesn't facilitate at all.

I cannot start my windows 7 in safe more or use recovery function. Problem happened after windows 7 update, then after restart windows defender asked me to restart again, and then blue screen or auto restart forever. I had a BSOD problem launching Borderlands 2, and some other games too. My Video Card drivers are up to date and i still have BSOD. I got blue screen once more, and my pc restarted. Now I can't even start my windows, I get some black screen before windows 7 logo appears and I can't even start my windows in safe mode nor can I boot from a CD/DVD.

I recently somehow got a nasty virus into my lappy. It was extremely weird since I just bought a new anti-virus (Norton, to be exact) and my PC became super slow. I recognized signs of viruses and I decided to wipe the PC clean. My friend gave two Windows 7 DVDs. However, even after making DVD the first boot order at BIOS it just doesn't work. My DVD rom makes really nasty sounds and it waits on a black screen for a bit and then it shows me to choose safe mode or start normally.
Basically, my PC has always read DVDs (logo on it confirms it). Also, Rom itself isn't broken, other discs like the Norton one work fine. Since the DVDs my friend gave me were DVD R- and DVD RW. Later, I got yet another disc which was DVD R+ but it STILL didn't work. My PC doesn't recognize the DVDs even normally, through My Computer. Did the viruses ruin my drivers or something? My rom always read DVDs but why make weird noises now?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A665 laptop, running Windows 7, 64 bit. Two weeks ago my Internet Explorer began running slowy, and then after a few days, the program would open but after about 30 seconds, would start clocking and give a Not Responding error message. It runs in Safe Mode just fine. I downloaded Firefox and experienced the same problem.
1) msconfig; Disabled add-ons - restart - problem remains
2) Malwarebytes - 0 problems were found
3) CCleaner - no help

Loading up the computer and it had frozen at windows start up, so I switched off tried the starting up using safe mode, managed to get onto safe mode and then it froze, so I then tried repair my computer and it failed. So now I'm stuck.

My computer won't startup in normal or safe mode and I was told my windows 7 may be corrupt. I am trying to reinstall it, but I'm not sure how. I place the disc in the drive and rebooted the computer but it didn't work. The system repairs won't work, nor will system restore. Is there a command prompt or anything?

So i just purchased a new computer to run World of Warcraft xDThis morning my computer wasnt working as intended. I booted it up and it went through the usual stuff, the winds logo popped up, then suddenly the screen went black and i got the message "out of range" on my monitor.I restarted the computer and the same happened again, after the windows logo, the screen goes blank.I then ran it in safe mode + networking and everything was fine !I tried "repair my computer" on the start up menu, but the PC still wouldnt run in normal mode.I tried configuring my PC to an earlier point in time, but the PC still wouldnt run in normal mode .I tried uninstalling my drivers (within safe mode) and it still wouldnt boot up in normal mode.
Could it be the monitor resolution? if so whyyyyy? it's been working fine for two weeks.Also yesterday we had about 5 random power cuts? could this have caused the problem?Everything works fine in safe mode so i think it's not a hardware problem, but normal mode just gets me to the windows logo loading screen then the monitor goes black
