For the most part Windows 7 has been running ok so far on my computer. The only issue that has me puzzled is my Realtek RTL8168C(P)8111C(P) Family PCI-E GBE NIC (onboard) just disappears after a reboot or a shutdown. I have to power the system totally down just to get it back.
I have updated to the lastest driver ( 1/20/2009 from Realtek.) Windows update tells me I have the latest driver installed. I also have tried disabling the power managemant and the driver still "disappeared" in Device Manager. I have IPV6 disabled as well.
Since my computer is fairly new and Vista Ready.. I thought I would try the driver that came on the motherboard install CD and same result. I am using a linksys USB wireless adapter and suprisingly it has proven to be more stable then my onboard Realtek. Not a major issue just a puzzle I would like to solve.
I installed Windows 7 (x86 so x32 for instalations) recently and from beggining I had problems with sound. After installing windows all other drivers were ok(video, motherboard, ethernet) but there were no sound. Windows showed that there is sound drivers instaled S/pdif(or something like that) and as I turned music on bars moved, but there was no sound from speakers. I havent muted anything by myself and wtf I just installed win it shouldnt be mutted anyway.
So I installed realtek newest audio High definition drivers which is my integrated sound card compatable with, restarted PC and vualia it worked. New icon appeared, I heard sound from music/movies. But then I shutted down my pc, turned it in couple of hours and they werent there anymore> Windows showed that there are no outputs or smth, red cross were on sound sign, then installed default drivers who were at the begging then I installed it. And bam I can't hear sound again. I read that problem might be when windows sended updates it sends realtek lan instead of sound or smth like that. And I found it in update history that win send realtek lan, but I dont know if disabling it could solve the problem.
i have downloaded realtek hd audio driver R2.67 from realtek website. but i need realtek hd audio manager. is realtek audio driver and manager are same?
I'm currently running Windows XP and it doesn't have any problem with the network(realtek Lan). I never ever install Driver for Realtek Lan, I only install Realtek Audio driver which using XP. But Windows 7 seems to install Lan driver by itself. And when I try to access my network in Windows 7, things hangup, only way is to hard reset(restart). I tried to uninstall that driver also but then I could not access my network. I also tried latest driver for the same, but when installing it hang. Can anybody tell me how to overcome this problem. By the way I have Windows 7 Enterprice(30 Days trial).
I am puzzled why Windows 7 is refusing to install a newer Realtek driver version for my net card. Using the device manager's driver update I currently have version 7.2.1127.2008 installed
the new driver is:
7.009.1105.2009 (inf info) translates into 7.9.1105.2009 (me thinks)
pointing the driver update to this newer driver tells "the installed driver is up to date"?
When I install Windows 7 64 bit, they have a MS driver for my HD audio, I am wondering if I should install the Realtek drivers provided by Gigabyte? tia BTW, sound seems to work fine with MS driver.
I have a realtek 8187 wireless adapter. It came with a driver on a cd but windows 7 says it isnt digitally signed and wont use it. Please help! My OS is 64 bit
I recently got windows 8 64 bit and after installing the audio drivers my mic is very quiet. When I uninstalled the audio drivers it worked again, but not in every program. Skype worked perfectly and Teamspeak did not, but after a while it started working. Anyone else having similar issues. I am using a razer carcharias headset
i download realtek 6.0.1 something from its website, my menu for REALTEK is not the same as it used to be on Vista, like changing sound room, and whole Lotta other stuff can anyone please help where to get those?
I have just installed a new HDD. I know have no sound. I know that the mobo sound device is Realtek but their site is a nightmare. I remember having to download a sound driver fro Vista but that it has a win 7 fix in it. I think it was the ac97 driver but I cant remember where I got it from. Everytime I think I have found it, it turns out to be a driver scan application that i have to pay for!!
Does anybody know where i can get the driver I need from?
Before windows 7 I was using XP, and my internet (ADSL) was great. But when I change my comp. to windows 7, I sow that I HAVE PROBLEM.
My problem is Lag when I play Wow, CS 1.6...or when I go on browsers.
Every 8-10 minutes some s.($hi)=()t comes out and I cant play or move anything for 10 secunds, I dk what is it. My comp dont have any viruses or anything like that. I use 2 firewals and 2 antiviruses.
I use
realtek rtl8168b/8111b family pci-e gigabit ethernet nic (NDIS6.0)
driver...and I think that, that is a reason. so, please help me.. how to fix it???
I can get to the internet with limited (to almost none) connectivity. I can get onto world-of-warcraft and get 60 fps for hours on end with no lag at all, I can have bit-torrent running for hours with no issues, however when I try to browse internet pages it just doesn't connect, and quickly too..like it can't resolve dns or something - not like it's waiting for a response from some site out there (the error message comes up immediatly.
I tried this on firefox too and same thing. I disabled ipvx6 and to no avail. I tried using opendns, and that was no help. I am using a router but my other computers hooked up to it (xp) don't have any problems. On the other end of this, I can't find any drivers for Windows 7 from realtek. The vista 64 won't install (says this driver is only for vista) and the xp64 won't install (says can't install this driver on vista).
So I was playing Cod 4, had plenty of problems getting it to work, one of the problems was that I had to have the Mic plugged in to open the game, seriously the biggest wtf I've had.
But now I got another fresh problem. The game kept on crashing, I checked out what the problem was, and sure as hell, it was the sound card driver.
So I used some guide, uninstalled the driver I had, and downloaded the newest Realtek driver, that's supposed to support Windows 7, although when I try to install the driver er get..
"Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software", no matter how often I press "Install this driver software anyway" it keeps on poping up!!
I am new to sevenforums and i have a big problem installing my sound driver.I have onboard realtek ac'97 and i have just switched to windows 7 build 7600.The problem is that my sound driver is not getting recognized.
i have tried all the ways.i installed my old driver as well as the new one from the reltek website(6305_Vista_Win7_PG537) but nothing seems to work. i have till now reinstalled Windows 7 3 times and installed 4 different drivers. i've tried all combinations of compatibility mode but at no avail. my motherboard is from zx-1945.
so this question might have been answered for some but i've been reading the threads and have tried other's working solutions and they have not worked for me.I recently moved my whole system to a new case ( a full tower vs mid) and everything was peachy until i notice no internet. at first i think ok i'll just re-download the lan driver via MSI cd. I put it in and all the drivers are colored and clickable except the lan one, crap, not sure why.. but i try downloading the driver via another computer and put it on external hard drive and install it from there. well it worked until a pop up comes up that says "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enable Please Plug the Cable" now of course the cable was plugged in so i was confused.. just to make sure i tried rebooting a few times, taking out the ram to reset motherboard settings. after that failed i checked my programs and settings and the driver was installed but under device manager.. nothing for networking at all. so i guess my question is, Is my windows failing on me cuz it can't recognize the lan or is my motherboard crapping out on me?
I just formatted my PC and installed Windows 7. I then installed Realtek HD audio driver from Intel website, and installation finished successfully. But the problem is that there is no sound. I go to Device Manager and it says This device is working properly.
my PC specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Motherboard: Model: DG31PR
I'm having difficulty installing the above driver.
Once installed it seems to work fine, then on restart the system see's new hardware and install a default "High def audio driver" which doesnt work. I have manually forced the update of the driver and selected the realtek version - same probelm - works fine then on restart it re installs default one!
Realtek HD Audio drivers for ALC889 chipsets. Windows 7 & Vista 32 & 64 bit v2.35
If you have previous drivers installed, this will uninstall the old ones and then restart the computer. Run the driver install again and you're good to go after another re-start.
I installed a Realtek driver and now Windows Media Player doesn't work, I'm currently on a Packard Bell machine that I hadn't updated the Realtek drivers on before.
After upgrading to 7 I have been experiencing some random difficulties with my sound system. When going to my sound card properties, I notice that there is a generic name to the device, "High-Definition Audio Device". Before I upgraded (when I was on Vista) I'm sure that it said Realtek-something but I don't remember the exact device name.
I want to download a driver update for my sound card, but how do I find out which driver I need to download if the name of the sound card is not showing?
I am about give up. I have read every website and tried many idea but nothing can fix this.
Using media center I get a very loud static. I have fixed it many times but then it comes back. I have reloaded the system and used only defaults and it works for awhile but then it comes back.
I have tried both the windows drivers and Reltek Vista driver. Every other sound works great (CD, MP3, DVD and Pandora). I use this system mostly for recording off DIRECTV.
I have tried change many setting as other treads have suggested.
