[code] I never had this issue on Windows Vista, occasionally my internet will randomly dropout. Limited Internet Access". When it does I can do a few things to get it working again:
- Disable, then enable my wireless card and reconnect.
- Uninstall the card, then re-install and reconnect.
- Disconnect from the internet myself and reconnect.
Either way it gets super frustrating. There is 1 other computer plugged directly into the router that does not experience any issues. In addition, I have 1 laptop (windows 7) that works great and 1 laptop (Windows XP) which works great.

i recieved my new lenovo z570 ideapad yesterday...i'll just put some of the spec down incase you want to know.
proccessor: intel i5 (second gen)
graphics: nvidia geforce
os: windows 7 64bit
yadayadayada...
anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!

Have windows 7 os and have a problem connecting to certain websites e.g. google, hotmail etc but otherwise can surf the net. Tried diagnosing problem and the message came up "your dns server might be unavailable." I have tried troubleshooting from online advice - resetting the router, restarting everything, tried resetting the dns cache and changing the ip address but that just lead to an ip conflict.

I'm in need of some serious help here. Working with a Dell Inspiron 1750 laptop that's running windows 7. The machine can not get full access to the Internet. It seems as if there is a software conflict, but I can't find what it is. It did display the BSOD a couple of times, but the screen was gone before I could see what the codes were. The system restore only has 2 days of restore points, neither did anything to help.Running the diagnostics produced the following codes. 0f00:0232, 968634624, 0x490, 0x8007042c, 2000-0151.All repair options suggest patches that require an Internet connection. Well...if the computer had an Internet connection I wouldn't be in such a state. Reminds me of the car repair manual that says to start the engine to preform a test when the problem is the engine won't start.Anyway, I'm at a loss. This isn't even my machine, it belongs to the sister in-law, which means I have no idea of what she may have done, if anything, to cause the problem. There's a lot of Apple software for the ipod, or itouch, whatever it is she uses.I can't access the recent update history, so I'm not sure if updates are a factor. It sure seems like a software issue, but what do I know? If I knew what I was doing...I surely wouldn't be here seeking help. One other thing, when the machine is first booting, a window of some sort appears just after the desktop appears. It only flashes for a split second before disappearing. Not long enough to tell what it is.Well that's all I have, I sure hope that someone has an idea. The computer isn't even 2 years old, so it'd a shame to have to throw it away. As far as programs goes, it has very little, and the 500GB HD isn't even 25% filled.

So yesterday my internet was working fine, but today when I returned and got it out of standby, I could not connect to the internet. It says "limited access" when I try to connect to the wireless, and when I try to connect with an ethernet cable nothing happens. If I troubleshoot, Windows is unable to resolve it. The problem it says is:There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter. There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection Adapter.

A few days ago I booted up my HP Pavilion dv4-2049wm laptop. Windows update needed to reboot, due to my postponing it for a few days, so I let it reboot and I started getting blue screens. After a few restarts (getting the BSOD every time), I booted into the last known good configuration. It booted up fine, but now I can no longer connect to my network (wired and wireless). It sees my wireless connection, but states "Limited Access."
Things I have tried:
- Uninstalled/Updated network drivers from HP's site, specific to my laptop model.
- Uninstalled all windows updates that were installed before BSOD
- Flushed, registered, renewed dns via command prompt
- Reset Winsock via command prompt
- Tried a "clean" boot
- Ran Windows Check Disk
- Ran Windows Memory Tester (Unsure of exact name)
On the day of the crash I attempted to do a restore, but the earliest restore I could do was at the time of the windows update (same time as BSOD). One thing I did notice is that the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo_Interface" listed under network adapters is no longer there. Not sure what that might have to do with anything. I ran this tool (Who Crashed/Crashdump) and here is my log:
Code:

currently running Windows 7 64-bit, and have had no troubles with my internet in some time. Finally went ahead and set up security on my Linksys router today, but immediately after my PC could no longer connect to the network. There are two laptops, a desktop, a Playstation 3, and two smart phones that all have no troubles with accessing the network now, but this specific desktop continues to show limited access, despite having full bars.

My internet is connected to a laptop downstairs as well as mine (sometimes but rarely). I often cant connect. It comes up with a box that says "Connect to a Network" and for options, "Troubleshoot problems" or "Tell me more about Internet connection problems". I click "Troubleshoot problems" about 5,000 times a day (no joke) and about 20 of those times it fixes the problem. The other times it does nothing and I have to go shut off the downstairs computer and unplug and plug back in the router about 10 times. Then sometimes is works for 10 minutes or so, and sometimes it doesn't. If I ever do get it working, it never ever stays working. Most times when the internet does connect, it works for about 30 seconds then shows a yellow triangle warning said with an exclamation mark stating "limited access". My SGS2 phone connects just fine. So does the laptop downstairs and any other gadgets except for my desktop! This is frustrating as anything!

This is very odd. but it seems random .dll files are trying to access the internet only when I am away from the computer for like 15 mins. They attempt this through rundll32.exe or whatever it's called.
I dont' think it's a virus because it's a new Win7 install and have not installed anything odd. Plus Avast has not picked anything up.
But there's no way all these .dll files are trying to access the internet while I'm gone. I mean most of the .dll files are from non-self-updating apps.

A month or so ago I started having the occassional problem with Blue Screens. There does not seem to be a specific time in which they come up it just seems to happen randomly. As of late it has been happening much more frequently. Also, though my menu bar says I have wireless access I constantly get the "Can not connect to a network" error message. I cannot click on the view networks options from the menu bar or from the control panel even though every other option in the control panel works fine. I have tried troubleshooting my internet connectiong and nothing ever comes up. I am using Google Chrome. I am currently running my laptop on safemode with networking in order to post on this site.[CODE]

I've had this issue before & it was bad RAM before so i replaced my RAM in late March and have not had issues since until a few minutes ago, I was watching a live stream on ustream.tv of the Nevada GOP Convention while also browsing facebook and Reddit and everything suddenly locked up on me and then a BSOD occurred forcing a reboot of my system, I have attached the .zip file to this post to hopefully finally get to the bottom of this issue..Is Windows 7
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? - 64 bit
- the original installed OS on the system? - Windows 7 64 bit, & dual booting Windows 8 Beta on a different partition
- an OEM or full retail version? - OEM
- What is the age of system (hardware)? - custom built system but i'd say average is 3-4 years for the mobo/processor, Ram is brand new, one of my hard drives is also only a couple of months, the other is maybe 2-3 years at my best estimate
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) - I did a reformat just a few months ago.

I have been having random crashes / restarts on my computer for the entire duration that I have had my windows 7 installed, before this I used windows xp which was on the same hard drive. I thought I managed to fix the issue but it happened again today and once yesterday as well.
What happens:
-Playing random game or browsing internet
-crash for no reason (Doesn't always BSOD)
-computer restarts says windows did not shut down cleanly etc..
-start up what I was doing again
-no crash
Search and Destroy along with Malwarebytes says that I am clean along with my AVG My dump settings are properly configured to produce dump files, although when this happens I do not see one being produced
My Windows 7 computer:
- x64 bit
- not the original OS
- retail version
- What is the age of system (hardware)? - 3/4 years at most
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 1/2 years
EDIT: I was looking through some other threads and managed to actually get some dump files and I reattached the information

So I have an HP Pavilion dv6z notebook running 64 bit Windows 7, it originally came with Vista pre-installed but I received an upgrade disc when 7 came out, that I have for about 3 years now. It was running great until about August or September last year when I would occasionally get a blue screen when playing Fallout New Vegas, which I had been playing on and off since Christmas 2010. This happened once every couple of weeks. Since then slowly more programs things have been tripping the blue screen and the frequency has increased. Now a number of games, though mostly newer 3d games and minecraft, have been setting it off. Then I started having it also occasionally blue screen when using a web browser or watching a video file.
The notebook is a HP Pavilion dv6z (s/n: CNF9351VRX, p/n: NT594AV), with an AMD Turion x2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-75 cpu, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 graphics card, an Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter, a 300 gig hard drive, 4 gigs of ram, and a blu-ray drive. I don't know what the motherboard or sound cards are. It is not being overclocked, I dont even know how to overclock things even if I wanted to. Also it is not a RAID drive as it only has one drive.
I have reset to factory settings in December, though that was due to a virus creeping in and ravaging windows, so reinstalled 7 and it now has a cleaner version on, but the problem persists. I've driver swept and reinstalled me drivers with no luck. I have also virus, spyware, trojan, and malware scanned finding nothing. I've torture tested the CPU and it passed with flying colors. I stress tested the memory with much the same result. I replaced the hard drive thinking it could be an issue, and no go there. Then figuring it was a thermal issue I got a friend and we ripped the notebook open and replaced the thermal paste. The fan seems fine and since doing it on the whole it has run quite a bit cooler since the CPU paste was pretty stiff. That seemed to work for about two to three weeks and bam again another blue screen, which is always the same regarding hal.dll and ntoskrnl.exe. I know it is a 0x124 error and as such different to diagnose the issue since it is likely hardware related but I dont know what else to try to test figure out the problem.

Last night I was on the internet at home absolutely fine and my laptop automatically downloaded an update, since then I have been unable to connect to my wi-fi. I deleted the updates and was still unable to connect, so I tried to used a system recovery restore point and every one I use starts but fails to complete. So, I did a factory reset after around 8 hours of trying to sort it out today and I STILL have the same problem. I can plug in the cable to connect and my housemate is having absolutely no issues connecting and neither is my phone so now I am at a total loss what I should do to resolve this. Prior to the factory reset I was able to connect to the wi-fi but it was stating no network access/limited access and now it simply won't connect to my internet at all. It finds my full strength signal but will not connect. My drivers for the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n card are the most up to date and the laptop (HP G62) says it is working fine.

My computer has been experiencing crashes daily for a while now, and I strongly suspect my power supply is the problem, but I do not have very much experience with this problem. My computer will just crash without any warning whatsoever when I play TF2, Nexuiz, or any other game for that matter. I could be playing for anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours and get a crash at any point in between. Who Crashed and BlueScreenView point out ntoskrnl.exe more than any other driver, but occasionally it will point out my graphics driver, lan driver, or directx itself.

im having trouble with my wifi. The day before it works fine but then the next day i turned on my Vaio laptop and it says Limited Access to my home wifi. I tried connecting to other wifi but same thing. I tried resetting the router, disabling and enabling the wireless connection but all didnt work. I tried connecting it with the cable directly still cannot connect. Finally i did a system restore to the day before where its working fine, it worked. The next day it says Limited Access again! So im guessing 'something' made my wifi error after that 1 day and i dont know what to do

I recently just got a laptop for college.Today I tried to connect to the internet and it's connected but its says Limited access. I have been looking online to fix this problem and they say to go online. But when I open a browser I can't connect. I was wondering how I fix this? I have a cable that connects to my router. But it's still saying limited access to any internet connection that I can use (ex. wireless, cable).

A few hours ago I installed a Windows update, so my ACER Aspire 5733 restarted. I shut it down after the restart, not paying attention to the wireless. When I went to turn it back on, I couldn't get online because my home wireless connection has "Limited access."The icon signifying signal strength on the taskbar has a small yellow star-shaped dot on it. When I click on it, it pops up and says "Not connected. Connections are available. It then says my wireless network name and says "Limited access" next to it. The signal strength is excellent. When I disconnect and then reconnect it says the connection was unsuccessful because the computer has limited connectivity. The same network is working on my other laptop and on my iPod, but not on my Aspire 5733.

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop that won't connect wirelessly to my network. ALL other devices in the house (iPhones, iPads, iMac, 1 laptop and another desktop) work fine, no problems. I've tested the laptop at my girlfriend's house using her wifi and still the same problem: Limited Access.
I've ran the troubleshoot, re-booted the router & laptop, checked device manager for any exclamation marks against any drivers (none), tried disabling/enabling the driver, checked for driver updates (none), done a system restore and uninstalled my antivirus software but all to no avail.
Edit: I've tried plugging in the ethernet cable which, although not particularly straight-forward, eventually works.

My new Samsung laptop has just stopped allowing me access to the internet. Its not a problem with the router as I have a wired connection to a desktop that is fine. My laptop has been working ok but now I just get 'Limited Access' from the status bar. All the other checks have been made with ISP the Intel(R) Centrino(R) wireless N130 is supposed to be working according to the network properties dialogue box. Also have wired the ethernet from desktop to laptop and still the same response so narrowing it down to the possible driver software.
