Quick Launch, Option Toolbar, Hotkey
Window 7, Quick Launch, Task Bar Toolbar Option
Is it true the registry hack is the only way to view Quick Launch?
Desktop Shortcut keys / hotkeys were great with the window button on the quick launch for Vista. Example Win button + 2 would launch the second shortcut icon.

HP Quick Launch Buttons
The HP buttons on laptops above the keyboard, for me play, ffw, rewind, volume, and mute; do not work with Windows 7. I went to HP and downloaded the Vista 32 bit drivers hoping they would work on Windows 7 but they dont, at least not by simply installing them. Im running Windows 7 32bit. Im not talking about the Quick Play buttons, I dont care about those. Any ideas?

Connecting To ISP Via Quick Launch
This is my second day with Windows 7 and I'm very impressed with it. With Vista, I had the 'My ISP' icon in the Quick Launch bar which was very handy. Now that I've managed to enable the Windows 7 Quick Launch, can anyone tell me how to put the My ISP icon there so that I can connect with just one click as with Vista?

HP Pavilion - Quick Launch Button Stuck On Mute
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and have the HP Pavilion dv7-1135nr here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3795411&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us A few days after installing windows 7 the Quick Launch mute button is stuck on (red) indicating that the system is muted whether or not it's muted in the system tray. No sound will come out of the external speakers but headphones work fine. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sound drivers on the support page but that limits me to only using headphones OR internal speakers (even if headphones were plugged in) by setting it through Control Panel. System restore fixed the problem for 1 day and it reoccurred. I've just installed the newest version from HP but it doesn't affect anything: HP Quick Launch Buttons HP Pavilion dv7-1135nr Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English) I found related topics with similar (but not the same) issue but none have solved the problem.

Classic Menu, Quick Launch Missing Links
Windows 7 missing all those things mentioned in title. Classic Menu, Quick Lauch . Also no option to modify remove or add links in left side panel. No need for Library link or Network link. Should have option to remove it and add other links such as my computer. Please add these features in final release. People love XP not vista. If windows 7 is more like XP. It will beat XP for sure.

How To Make Explorer Quick Launch Icon Point To Computer ?
By default, there is an explorer.exe quicklaunch icon in the taskbar. When i click it, i end up in the library view. I would like to start in the "computer" area where i see my hard drives etc. When i pull a "computer" into the taskbar it just gets added to the explorer shortcut but even if i delete the explorer shortcut and then drop a computer shortcut into the taskbar, it just adds a shortcut to explorer.exe. The link to computer is added to the context menu of explorer.exe but that is 2 clicks away and i find that very annoying.

Hotkey To Multiple Displays
I've been browsing the web to find an answer for my question, but with no luck. I use Windows 7 on a PC which is setup to be both an office and an entertainment computer. Therefore it's connected to two seperate screens with one graphic card. The screens are one 19" desktop screen (1280x1024) and one 40" Samsung LCD TV (1920x1080). When I'm browsing the web, working with documents etc. I use the desktop screen and when I watch movies, pictures etc. I use the TV. Now I'm trying to switch between them in an easy way. I've tried several third party applications but eventually found that the best way to switch between these in fact is to use Windows 7 built-in software. I've setup Windows to recognize the two seperate screens and I switch between them by using the "Multiple Displays" option in the settings. I then switch by using "show desktop only on 1/2". Do anyone know if this switch can be done by using a hotkey combination through Windows or through some other software? It's not the end of the world right clicking the desktop and doing it, but it'd be nice to save a few clicks every time.

Screen Saver Start - Hotkey Or Mouse
Is there a way to start a screen saver with a hot-key or a mouse gesture (or perhaps by putting the mouse into a certain corner for a certain amount of seconds)? I would like the ability to start the screen saver on command without going to the display option and clicking the preview button. For example, when surfing the web or watching a video, I would like to push alt-s or something similar, or perhaps move the mouse to a corner, and the screen saver starts automatically, right away, then acts normally as if it started by itself (meaning, it is "on" until I move the mouse or push a key).

Toolbar Computer / Workstation
Under XP it was possible, to make a toolbar with the work station, and then it was in the taskbar, and if the taskbar was unlocked, i could pull it from the taskbar to the desktop, and then there was a "window" with my work station, and if i pull it to the left, I got a new "taskbar" with my work station, so my hard drives, CD/DVD... On Win7, I can create the toolbar, but I can't pull it from the taskbar to the desktop, the taskbar doesn't let the toolbar go... Has anybody the same problem and can halp me, because it is easier to manage it with harddrives, if they are on the left side of the desktop, than always in the workstation...

Cool Toolbar On Top Of Screen
Been testing Windows 7 since yesterday on 2 PCs and I admit they run as smoothly as no other Beta so far...I'd give Windows 7 to be the best release after XP, but I guess time will tell. Anyways, I got a question...I've been seeing this nice toolbar on top of the screen on some screenshots of yours, does anybody know what it is and where I can find it? I'm submitting a picture with a small, discreet arrow pointing at what I mean exactly. Any ideas?

Adding A Toolbar To The Top Of The Screen
I just installed windows 7. In vista, xp and windows 2000 I added a second tool bar to the top of the screen which had all my quick launch icons and an address bar for quick website entry. In XP I could create a bar at the top of the screen by pulling the quick launch or address bar out of the task bar and then placing it at the top of the screen. In vista I could create a bar at the top of the screen by dragging a folder to the top of the screen for a second. Window 7 removed both of these methods. Can I get it back? If not, this is a deal breaker and windows 7 is garbage. Example Triple monitor setup with secondary toolbars at the top of the screen in vista:

Google Toolbar Compatibility Issue
I am attempting to upgrade from vista to to windows 7. I spent 5 hours trying to figure out how to completely uninstall Google toolbar before 7 would let me upgrade. Then the upgrade started. When I returned to the laptop it had shut off and on reboot it said there was still a compatibility problem -Â no explanation. I thought 7 was an improvement. I now have my doubts and new frustrations. Is there a way to completely confirm compatibility or find the way to fix the problems?

Upgrade Issue With Google Toolbar
Let me preface this by stating what, I'm guessing, is the most important thing to know before attempting to update: Yes, I am compatible. I have run the Compatibility Advisor twice now, and it says that my Upgrade Options (or something along the line of that phrasing) will allow me to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7 (I currently run the 32-bit Vista). However, during the upgrade process it tells me to get rid of Google Toolbar. Well, according to my list of programs, I don't have Google Toolbar, and it doesn't say I won't be able to upgrade, it simply says that I should get rid of it as it may see problems WHEN I upgrade. I then hit "Continue" and it does its thing until it tells me that I'm not able to upgrade. It then restarts my computer and I have to choose Vista to go back to or else it just hits a loop.

Moving Taskbar Toolbar Problem
Since using Win 2000, i'm used to having special toolbar for shortcuts of many programs and games for quick activation. In Win 2000, i had the Office 2000 toolbar, in Win XP i had the internal toolbar created from the taskbar and then just moved it to upper side of the desktop. Now, i've been trying to the same here (Win 7 Ultimate 64bit), but it just won't let me take the toolbar out of the taskbar, even though the taskbar isn't locked, and i can move it only left and right on the taskbar itself. I would like to have a seperate toolbar in the upper side of the toolbar, here's an example from XP: http://i47.tinypic.com/14kgns4.jpg

Photo Import Wizard Does Not Launch
After connecting a Canon camera to my LG Netbook, it appears under DEVICES AND PRINTERS and the flash drive shows up in COMPUTER. However, the IMPORT PICTURE WIZARD (or whatever todays name is) does not start. Further, I can not seem to find that wizard on the machine (i.e. START, search for WIZARD, PHOTO, PICTURE... or reviewing the ACCESSORIES folder or x:PROGRAM FILES...) I have set AUTOPLAY to PICTURES: ASK EVERY TIME and to DEFAULT but neither setting seems to have much impact. The wizard launched as expected under Vista and I THINK it ran under the 7 Beta (but I am not certain).
