I've just bought a new PC, I'm sure i placed everything right problem is i don't see nothing on the monitor, I tried to mount my GPU (Vapor-X HD6770) on every PCI-E slot (Gigabyte-990FXA-UD7) i got and still not working, Is there anything i'm missing?

While that was happening I had just started loading a game called League of Legends, had my web browser up, and had a microphone program called Ventrilo all running in the background. Monitor went black and into standby, computer's main light went from blue to orange. When I tried to click on my mouse/press keys on my keyboard it came out of sleep but still no signal from the monitor, I then restarted the computer from it's main switch and still no change. I could hear through my headphones that the computer had booted and made it to the log in screen, but still no monitor signal. The graphics card I'm using in my PCI-E slot at the moment is a Galaxy 450 GTS, been working fine for over 4 months until now (Uses a DVI Cable). At this point I decided to switch out a PCI-E card that uses VGA instead of DVI to see if my chord was buggy knowing that the card is in fully working condition just less powerful, still no change. I plugged my monitor into another computer and my onboard graphics card, works fine.
Thing that I've tried:
-Reset cmos
-Reset motherboard battery
-Seated a VGA PCI-E Graphics Card that I know works fine, still no monitor signal
-System restore
-Tested RAM and took each stick out one by one booting each time individually
-Reseated the graphics card
-Tested Monitor on another computer (Working)
-Made sure all power connections are firm
-Changed my power settings to never hibernate
Onboard graphics card is working, but won't recognize that there's any card in my PCI-E slot (Fan works on the card showing it has power). I've read through different forums that people have had a similar problem but none seem to be exactly the same as mine. I've searched through my BIOS (Very limited options to say the least) and cannot find anywhere how to disable my onboard graphics card and make PCI-E primary. I've tried to uninstall my video drivers and reinstall, but because it doesn't find the GTS 450, it wont let me apply the drivers. The other day it made 7 beeps during post, from what I read means it's a video ram issue, but now that has stopped after putting my BIOS settings to default. The only solution that I can think of off the top of my head is to reformat Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.

I have Windows 7 drivers set to visibly load and when that finishes, my BenQ XL2420T monitor displays "No Signal!" and I have a blank screen. If I disconnect the cable, I get the "No Cable Connected!" message from the monitor. When I reconnect the cable, the "No Signal!" message appears along with the blank screen again. This occurs with an Asus GTX 580 Matrix in PCI-e Slot 1 (closest to the processor) with a Display Port cable. Moving to the next available PCI-e slot results in a flawless Windows 7 bootup sequence.

I have a dell dimension 9200 and the motherboard can handle a maximum of 4gb of ram, but is there a limit per slot? In other words does it have to be 4 x 1gb sticks of ram or can I use 2 x 2gb sticks? The reason I ask is that I've had lots of bsod and crashes recently and after performing lots of tests using memtest it seems that 2 of the ram slots on my motherboard are bad meaning I only have 2 good ones to use.

The monitor has a matching blue VGA cable, yet I get absolutely no signal what-so-ever when I hook it in and boot it up.I could use another slot, perhaps from the GPU or the white DVI below, but I need the VGA blue slot 'enabled' so I can spare an adapter necessary for my second PC.My monitor is set on Analogue apparently, if that helps. I'm really hoping this is just settings and not a faulty motherboard issue.

GeForce GTX560ti. My older card being ati radeon 4850. I updated my drivers the other night to a beta driver for the Battlefield 3 beta. That is when I noticed 2 BSODs in 1 day. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XT graphics card, however, when I place it in the PCIe slot, I don't get any video. The card only has two DVI outputs. The mother board is a Gigabyte ga-k8n51gmf-9 with an Nvidia 6100 integrated graphics. I can get a signal with VGA off the on board graphics, and I disable it, then try and install the new card and I don't get any signal from either the card, or the VGA output (Integrated). When I take the card out, I get a signal from the VGA again...Also, the CMOS battery had to be replaced. I'm wondering what settings need to be changed. Its an Award BIOS F7.

The software I wish to install in XP mode uses a PCMCIA card (with dongle) to communicate with various machine controls for troubleshooting.
My HP Pavilion laptop has an ExpressCard slot for which I can buy an ExpressCard to PCMCIA adaptor.
My questions is: Will the XP Mode software running on the Win 7 machine support and utilize the ExpressCard slot?
I am currently sitting here with a dilemma. The problem I am facing takes back two weeks where I got my new graphic card MSI 560Ti. I have a CoolerMaster HAF 922 case, my PSU is relatively small but compared to my older graphic card the new one is absolutely massive. I also uses Asus P6T Deluxe v2 Mobo which has 3 PCI-E 2.0 slots which I found out recently. They are placed in this order from left to right; 2xPCI-E 2.0 slots, 2x PCI slots, 1x PCI-E 2.0 slot.
I noticed that my card turns out to be at 90 degrees when I'm running a game for instance because there is too little space between the graphic card and PSU which makes it very little to no airflow in between. I decided to put my graphic card into the stand alone slot PCI-E 2.0 to create some space. But I have to sacrifice my sound card which I can't put it into the PCI slot no longer. Also the sound card technically should be able to fit into a PCI-E 2.0 slot correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't reach out of the edge on the motherboard, what should I do?
When I put any 3 of my 4 memory chips into the first 3 slots on my motherboard the system seems to work correctly. If I add a 4th chip into the 4th slot the system won't boot.
I have 2 CM2X2048-8500C5D 2.1v v1.1. There are two sets of two. After getting these indications. I tested them using memtst86+ 4.20. Each chip was tested in each slot, 12 passes in each of the four slots. No errors were detected. The only thing non standard is my bios is configured 5-5-5-18 instead of the 5-5-5-15 it says on the chip. This is due to a motherboard limitation.
Equipment: Acer Aspire 5535 Laptop Originally running Vista Home Premium - no problem. I have updated to W7 and now on W7 Ultimate SP1 32 bit I can slot an DS card into the card reader and copy to/from with Explorer.
I then eject the device using Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon in the rhs of the Task Bar.
I remove the card and then any other card slotted in is not recognised - including the original one. It does not appear in the Explorer window and is not accessible.
If I look on Device Manager, under Universal Bus Controllers, the eigth one down is USB Mass Storage Device and is showing an ! in yellow triangle. Right click on this brings up properties which tells me:
"Windows cannot use this hardware device because it has been prepared for "safe removal", but it has not been removed from the computer. (Code 47)
To fix this problem, unplug this device from your computer and then plug it in again." Well, if course I did remove the card but it don't see that
If I reboot the LT this is cleared. If I watch Device manager whilst ejecting the card, nothing happens till I actually, physically take out the card when it updates the window to show the fault triangle. I have checked for latest driver and am told it has the latest one. Other USB ports work OK.
I have a Radeon HD 4500 graphics card that's plugged into the PCI express slot on my motherboard. The heat sink on the graphics card is huge and covers the next PCI slot down completely which I now need. I don't want to buy a new graphics card as the one I have works fine and I can't afford a new one.I can take the heat sink off but I don't want the thing to overheat and blow.

DVD Tray opens and light comes on but does not play DVD. 1st USB port on left side gets - USB Device Not Recognized.One under it works and one on the right side works.OS Windows7 Ultimate. DVD RW Drive not working. I burn the file today but when i erase from DVD cd some file and erase it. After that i try to read the file from CD or DVD cd enserted to DVD/CD drive not reading.
i'm bad at explaining problems but ill try. i had a dual boot of windows 7 and xp. the win7 OS messed up so i formatted that drive and reinstalled, now when i booted up for the first time it said something about the MBR being missing. so i booted into the win7 cd menu and tried to repair but it said "this version of recovery console is not compatible with the installation" or something like that...so the only way i can get into windows now is to keep the cd in the tray and wait for it to load passed the "press any button to boot from the cd" then it will boot straight into win7. i also formatted the drive with XP on it. so what i need help with is fixing the win7 MBR in windows, i tried using easybcd but it doesnt seem to work.

None relate to my specific problem and nothing new in 2012. I have been using win 7 with IE9 for 12 months so no problems after installing and no error messages. It just stopped working one day. I cant do a systems repair because I received 18 updates yesterday. I have 32 bit Win 7 Professional.I dont want to use Google chrome as my IE set up as I want it and password program wont work in it. This is a must for me. Also a reinstall is not an option as I will lose everything. I could do a restore and reinstall updates.
