Pakard Bell BSOD Error 0x00000019
Aug 14, 2012
It randomly crashes (BSOD) with what seems to be the same cause, but I cannot trace the source of the fault. In an attempt to clear the problem I removed the hard disk, connected it to another PC and re-formatted it. I then re-installed it and loaded Windows 7 anew. Still the fault persisted. Next I downloaded Memtest to check the memory (2x 1Gbt rows) and removed both and only installing 1 at a time in both slots to cover all options. Still the problem persisted. Next up I down loaded a disk checker. Nothing wrong showed up here. I removed the fan from the processors and blew it through with an airline along with the power fan. The PC is now a lot quieter, but the fault is still there. I then removed the TV card, its not that. I have had the BIOS checked and that is fully up to date. Now Im running out of options. I down loaded a Blue screen viewer so I could interpret the minidump data files as the Windbg program from Microsoft did not show much at all. All the dumps show the same problem with the same Parameter codes:
Bug check String: BAD_POOL_HEADER
Bug check Code: 0x00000019
Parameter 1: 0x00000022
Parameter 2: 0x00000000
Parameter 3: 0x00000000
Parameter 4: 0x00000000
The results say the cause is either one of the following 3 drivers, but I believe that these are all windows programs and are not related the additional installed hardware: Ntfs.sys, ntkrnlpa.exe, ntoskrnl.exe. I have stored all the minidump data if that is of use to anybody. The PC is around 6 years old and below id the PC data. Operating System System Model Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
Packard Bell BV PB34338801
System Serial Number: 127776790307
Chassis Serial Number: 50424E Processor a Main Circuit Board b 2166 megahertz Intel Pentium III (2 installed)

i just freshly installed windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my system. this is the third fresh install and still it doesn't fix this, i have already fully updated my windows and drivers. the question is? some people say its the memory, but the memory is perfectly fine when im running on vista x64. i don't know how to read a dump file so just tell me where to upload it, or if you want me to compress it with winrar. also i am about to run a system check and look for some software that can validate my drivers.

This started happening last night while i was playing Borderlands 2, it has happened at idle, playing just about any game in my library, during downloads and just browsing the web. I changed all of my accessible drivers, and it continued to happen, so i moved all of my personal files onto my external HDD. I re installed windows on my SSD (did not reformat) and reformatted my HDD. I re installed my drivers, re-enabled SLI and it ran fine for about an hour, just downloading WoW, and then happened again twice.

When i first saw this, i tried updating my drivers, and it did fix the problem for a while but then afterwords it occurs again. I do not know which specific driver is causing theI am using a Alien ware M17x-R3 Laptop, Pre-installed Windows 7 x64, Intel Core i7-2720QM 2.2 ghz processor, 8 GB ram installed

I have a IMEDIA 9300 desktop PC. The One/off Switch is broken and the parts are not available anymore for this model. I think newer model use the same One/Off switch however. For example iMedia (PT.U03-PV.U03) looks to me is similar. In order to identify this I need to know the Serialnumber of one of those desktop PC. With this I can go to EetNordic and ask them to check.

I just bought a month ago (in Switzerland) a Packard-Bell Dot m/u. Very nice little machine equipped with Windows Vista Home Premium in French. I benefit from the "free" (15 EUR handling fees) upgrade to Windows 7, I followed all the instructions and expect to receive the DVD (French version) some time soon.
Now comes the tricky part, my nice and neat Netbook does not have a DVD player!! And I have not seen it available as an accessory. How should I do then once I receive the DVD?
I do have another notebook with Vista Home Premium (English version) and a DVD player so I see 3 possibilities:
- Install Windows 7 on that other notebok (if language versions are not an issue) and keep the netbook with Vista
- Find some trick to save that DVD as a file (.ISO or something like that?), transfer it to the netbook with an external hard-drive and manage to start that file in some way on the netbook (isn't there some kind of programs that simulates a DVD player?)
- Cry because i've been fooled...
What are your thoughts?

I'm trying to sort out issues with this Packard Bell laptop for a friend and his daughter. The machine starts to boot, gets to a "Windows Starting" logo screen and then when the screen goes back it just hangs. There is a mouse curosr that you can move around but no screen to do anything with. i have tried booting it into safe mode with the same result. i took the drive out and put it in a caddy linked to my PC and the file structure is all there. i ran chkdsk on it which found and fixed afew problems (so it said) but when I put the drive back in the laptop it still refused to get past this black screen. I'm tempted to buy this Win 7 recovery disc and see what happens when I boot from that, but I'm wondering if there is anything I have missed. The machine hasn't got a Win 7 OS disc.
