I have a strange problem. I bought a new computer:Motherboard: P8Z68-V LXProcessorL Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU 3.40 GhzNVIDIA GeForce GTX 56064-bit Operating System (Windows 7).Apacer SSD 59 GB.I wrote all the drivers but computer still working VERY slow. I tried to find aswer on the internet, but I didnt solved this problem and I don't know what to do.
This is my first build, and my mobo is an Asus P8Z68-V Pro and have a 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. I've been having a lot problems since day 1 of using it, but the most annoying of all of them is that I can't get any sound from my computer.Connected my iPod to my monitor (Asus VE247h) the speakers work fine.Tried changing the audio settings in BIOS... nothing Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the realtek driver 3 times...same problem?
My new asus p8z68-pro mobo runs everything just fine in the bios -- it detects all the relevant drives, my USB peripherals are working, etc. When I try to install Windows, however, I run into a problem. As soon as the installation files load off of the DVD and the installation begins my USB devices shut down. This means, of course, no keyboard or mouse to proceed with the install, so I'm stuck.I checked in the bios -- both the usb legacy support and the usb 3.0 legacy support are turned on. I have tried this with the EHCI hand-off both on and off. Either way, I run into the same problem. I've even swapped out my fancier mouse and keyboard for simpler models to see if it was some sort of driver issue, but nothing seems to make a difference.
I have the above motherboard. I have been using a video card which is three years old and thought I would try out the integrated video before my video card died. I switched it in the Bios and switched the monitor cable and it started fine on integrated video. The only thing is that the first screen where I can enter Bios does not show, so I am unable to enter the Bios. I tried hitting the delete button on the blank screen but nothing happens. I was able to shut down the PC and switch back to the video card, so I am OK. Does anyone have any idea why the first screen doesn't show on integrated?
i have purchased a dell laptop 2nd generation inspiron which has a preloaded windows 7 premium ...i am ffinding it much slower in copying files ,,internet connections and coulnt able to connect video callss, can u suggest me ways to improve it???
Basically, my computer is relatively powerful, i built it for gaming and its worked perfectly ever since. My computer runs windows 7, it gets to the logon screen and i logon perfectly fine. Problem is that after 5 minutes of waiting it goes to the desktop and for a further 20 minutes it is unusable. To the point where if i try to click on stuff Windows displays "Windows 7 has stopped working" etc.
I notice that for this 20 minutes on the desktop my startup applications (Like Fences, Pidgin, MS Security Essentials, Dropbox) do not start. So far i have ensured that explorer.exe is running (which it is). And I have tried other stuff like running virus scans with MalwareBytes, MS Essentials and SuperAntiSpyware (Found nothing). Temperatures of my components are fine, Graphics card around 60-75 degrees, CPU Cores at around 40-55.
My computer is specced as below: Quad Core 3Ghz CPU 8GB Ram Nvidia 9800GTX
recently (past couple of months) my laptop seems to have something constantly running in the background [you can hear it clicking away pretty much all the time] & it seems to be running at least 60% slower than normal - at times my typing is faster than it seems to be able to cope with [ie: when typing an email] and I'm not thaat fast - are there any obvious/likely culprits? Presumably it could be that something is taking up a lot of capacity in the background?
i just installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. everything is just working fine excpet the divx web player and flash videos.
when i try watching the video full screen on Internet the videos quality is fine but it horribly slows down and in divx the quality is reduced (pixelated) and the sound and the video goes out of sync.
im using firefox 3.5 right now and i tried Internet in ie aswell and still the same problem and as for divx internet explorer crashes everytime i try to play diivx.
I am using a Dell Studio 1558 with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I have the dell 1520 Wireless Mini-card installed. The wireless on my windows is very slow which is frustrating. Using linux on the same wireless system gives me good speeds. I suspect there is a problem with the driver in windows. How do i fix this/??
I bought this Fujitsu laptop for less than a year. Its only for my school work. It takes forever to bootup, startup and it sometime hangs when I open up a program or typing. For the bootup, it takes very long time on the window logo, after that the black screen, followed by the welcome page with the loading cursor. Each of this process take a long time. For startup, its not so long but its still quite lag. For the opening up of program and typing, everytime I open up my visual studio, it will take a long time to show up and even if it showed up, it will be "not responding".So I will have to open it a second time before I can start using itWhen I am typing my codes, it will randomly hang and show that the program is not responding. I am still able to move my cursor though.
The problem likely started when I cloned my drive to a new Seagate drive using a Seatools *Seagate** utility, which I believe is actually made by Acronis. The final fix was installing new drivers for the Hard drive from Intel "Intel Rapid Storage Technology"
Symptoms = Failure code when trying to start indexing = 0x8e5e0247 Search function would not work properly Indexing was not working Could not get Windows update to install
windows 7 indexing is not running acronis clone Intel Rapid Storage Technology 0x8e5e0247 windows update not working
I have a HP dv6910us Pavilion and the DVD is not listed in Device Manager. DVD Tray opens and light comes on but does not play DVD. 1st USB port on left side gets - USB Device Not Recognized. One under it works and one on the right side works.OS Windows7 Ultimate. It is running kind of screwy so I wanted to reinstall Windows7 but with the DVD not operating Can't do it. Seems like maybe something in the register got erased or corrupted. If I can get the DVD and USB port to work I won't have to reinstall Windows 7
I have been using windows 7 for some years. Recently i formatted my pc since unwanted programs, bugs, viruses and junk was accumulating and i wanted a fresh start. The pc came with windows 7 64bit pre-installed and the re-seller gave me a cd along with it.After i formatted the pc(i only formatted the c: drive,i kept all the important and backed up software, drivers and any important documents in the D: drive)After going through procedures and a successful installation the windows booted and apparently it took 5-10 minutes to get to the desktop icons. Here are the things i did afterwards.
I've had windows 7 now since it's been released and my computer runs 3gb of RAM. Recently my computer has really slowed down. I have opened task manager and the CPU in idle state is over 50% used and when you click something the whole thing grinds to a halt. I have checked processes and nothing is showing, I have scanned my hard-drive for virus's and spyware and nothing.
For some reason, whenever I restart my computer, it goes into a "slow-mo mode" until a seemingly random moment in time. Usually it comes out of it's stupor after a few wake ups from hibernation. While in "slow-mo mode," all animations, actions, game-play, everything is cut in half. It's not an FPS drop, everything just plays like a video in slow motion.I've searched and searched for someone with a similar problem, but have yet to find anything related.
I booted one of my older rigs up and it is so slow it is unusable. It takes 10 min to boot into windows and you pretty much cant do anything in windows either its so slow once you click on something it takes 5 min to actually select the icon after you click it. I had this rig running fine 5 days ago. I have tried reformatting and worked fine for a day then booted up again and same thing. I was wondering if anyone has any insight if its the OS itself or if it is issue with some of the hardware ? I was thinking possibly Hard drive but never seen or heard of this before.
i have a windows 7 computer.it was slow so i download it windows vista from the internet, after that i realize it didnt work and i decided to use programs i didnt use. i do not know what i erased. Why is Windows 7 Ultimate very slow? I've done a complete reinstallation of windows 7 ultimate wiped out the entire disk, after installing a few programs it starts to become slow, (Its like watching paint dry) Here I will list the system's
My computer has just slowed down to a crawl. It happened when I got home from being out of town for a few days, before I left, my computer was just fine, my computer has an AMD Athlon II 2.80 GHz, 4 CPU cores. 4 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon graphics card etc. What it is doing is, it goes through the BIOS just like it's always been, then, when it is about to start windows, it just goes to a black screen for about 30 seconds, then "Starting Windows" comes up for like 5 minutes without anything there, then after a while, the windows logo comes on top of the "Starting WIndows" and it just hangs. I also have an Ubuntu OS installed on a separate Hard drive on the computer if that helps diagnose the problem,I also tried starting Ubuntu also, same thing, slow as hell. It is a custom made computer made by me about a year and a half ago, never had any problems until just now. As I am typing this now my computer is still hanging at the "Start Windows" screen for roughly about 20 minutes.
I have win7 64bit running on intel dual core with 4 mb ram The system has been running slow for about 2 months. For example results for searches in the start menu take about 5 seconds to appear, iNDESIGN taking much too long to load up, and waiting for thumbnails to load in heavier folders.
I have Windows 7, and it's really freezing and slow. It won't even let me pull up my AV, or my Firefox. I am posting from my iPhone.I did a restore back to earlier today, and it didn't help. If I had a restore point for a few days ago, that probably would of helped. It all started yesterday. I only have one PC. I haven't been on my PC much, and when I did go on this is what I get.I have Windows 7 Home Premium, but it's the upgrade version that I bought last year. I have too much data on the PC to wipe it clean. I also don't remember where I put my Windows 7. It required to have Vista on first then upgrade.
My computer has become very slow. I'm not sure but the day after downloading a patch for WoW i started getting in-game lag. It has progressively worsen each day and now the computer is having issues out of game as well, ie. startup slow, internet slow, opening files and folders slow, video and sound lag, drivers sometimes not loading during startup, etc. I have ran MSSE and anti-maleware, updated windows and drivers.
I've had Windows 7 for over a year, but in the past month it has taken me forever to load a webpage. Also, if I had only Winamp running and playing songs, it would stop in the middle of the song, and then resume playing after a while, and then it would do the same after a while, acting weird. Or if I watched a movie, it would freeze all of a sudden, and then resume itself after some time. So, here's what I've done. I bought more RAM, so that I have 8 gb now. I've uninstall some programs I don't use.I regularly remove broken shortcuts, clean registry, defragment it, etc. I've disabled transparency option in control panel, under window color.
I have a new Dell Latitude E6510 I-5 that I have only had for about 4 weeks and it is booting up slow taking over a minute.Once the computer starts up it runs great.with what is slowing down the boot up[CODE]
I am trying to install a program on my windows 7 home premium, and after using the installer, nothing happens for a long time. This has happened before, and sometimes the installer starts after a few minutes, but sometimes it takes over an hour, and often i have to just shut it down, because i can't wait for it. Does anyone know about this problem, and a solution for it? In the Joblist, under processes, it is called SETUP.EXE*32, and looks inactive.
I have a PC running windows 7 ultimate edition. 4.0 GB RAM, AMD Athlon2 X2 processor at 2.9GHz.This PC was always lightning fast with everything, and now its slower than dirt with everything from opening files to opening pages on the web. I don't know whats happened to it. I update and use Malwarebytes on a daily basis with never an infection, and use AVG antivirus with no instances of virus.I'm hoping someone can get me on the right track here. I was having issues a year ago and you guys nailed the problem, so I'm back hoping for more of the same
I have Win 7 Enterprise x64 installed for few months, and it started to clog up. When I start it up, after wallpaper shows up, hard drive starts to grind like I'm defragmenting it, and it keeps doing it for half a minute. If I try to start up firefox during those initial seconds, it works slow, and so do other programs. I have 15+ GB free on my main C drive. I thought about clean install but the pain of reinstalling the programs and settings makes me cringe so I would like to try to clean the computer up.What programs do you recommend for the job? I can check for viruses and malware with Security Essentials, are there other programs that could possibly check if I have too much startup programs, and somehow optimize Windows back?
I have windows 7 32bit on a older pc it was running well, but now everything is running slow programs and internet they stop responding as well.I have scanned for virus and run superantispyware, still slow.I tried to run combofix, but it will not install right.
