The webcam at HIAA (airport) is supposed to update every 6 seconds but it doesnt do it. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. It updates okay using other computer running Linux.
View 9 RepliesI'm almost positive that once I completed an event on the Windows Live Mail Calendar on my desktop that it would update the calendar online. I just checked and it hasn't. I did reformat my pc in Oct. Is there something that I'm missing? I looked for "import" or something similiar online, but cannot find it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThere's a brand new just out of the box 64 bit Windows 7 desktop PC that I set up for a friend who buys and sells used cars. The PC works beautifully, but he cannot connect to a live auction site that he frequents.We have IE9 32 bit installed as well as the latest version of Firefox.He uses a site called copart.com where he does a member login, then he clicks on a tab to get him to the auction page. From that page he can view all the copart auctions across the US. If he clicks on an auction that has not yet begun he gets a little applet box displays a countdown of the time till that auction starts. So far, so good.
But, if he clicks on an auction that has already begun, he gets a little Java logo that displays for a second or so in the applet box, followed by a msg 'connecting to server'. It never does. It just sits there. It does the same thing in both IE9 and Firefox.I have used his login on several other PCs - from other Windows 7s to Vista to XP, and it works perfectly on all of them.I went into Java, clicked on the Advanced tab, expanded the Java console and selected 'Show console'.Here is what I get when I click on an auction that has already begun:[CODE]
This probably isn't an error, but a problem all the same. I've synced my documents to SkyDrive using Windows Live Mesh without a problem. However, to access these files with a web browser I have to go to 'devices', not the more prominent 'SkyDrive' tab in Hotmail. Why is this? Why are there two different SkyDrives and is there any way to get them in the same place?

I press update all, it syncs online & my web browser based (live) hotmail gets all the new messages, folders etc. I want to go on holiday with my netbook. 1. When on holiday, I have live mail on my netbook. If I press sync, will it then download/update my netbook with all the browser based hotmail messages/folders etc.? So my netbook Live mail will look just like the office PC Live mail, will it? 2. When I get back off holiday, on my office pc, I press update, this I presume will then get all the new messages/folders from the browser on Live mail, will it? 3. But then now I am back, I want to delete all the messages/folders off my netbook for security, If I press or it accidentally, or I go away again & press update all on the netbook, will the browser Live mail then update the folders, deleting lots of them, as it is using the netbook as the latest update that it thinks I want? So to summarise, is there a setting on my netbook live mail, that says �delete these folders/messages, but don�t delete/sync online�?

I don't have access to properties, so I can't move the bars with contrast etc. I see in creative's site but they say, that no support my cam anymore. I bye another cam .. When you plug the camera into the USB port, open the Device manager and find the "Unknown Device". Then click "Update" and finally point to the directory where you have previously extracted the file in the attatchment.
windows 7 x64 on my laptop (intel core i5 @ 2.50ghz, 4 gb ram) has recently started freezing for a few seconds every few seconds, when i'm doing just about anything: browsing the web, copying files, using text redactor, etc. only the mouse cursor responds, control is back after a couple of seconds.
* the behaviour remains the same when booting in the safe mode
* there are no cpu or memory usage peaks in process explorer
* there are no hardware conflicts in device manager
* there are no critical errors in system log
* there is no antivirus active
* hardware tests (memory, etc.) do not report any errors
i suspect this has started after i've updated all the drivers from manufacturer's site, but i am not 100% sure. anyway, i do not know which driver has caused this and i cannot easily restore to the previous state.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a month-old Dell Inspiron N7010 Core i5 460M with 6 gigs of ram running on Windows 7. Until recently, it has been starting up in about 75 seconds. However, out of nowhere, it suddenly began starting up in between 2 and a half minutes to 3 minutes. I am completely baffled, and I do not know what is wrong. Could it have been something I installed, or is it something that is beyond my knowledge. The last things I downloaded before the problems started were Starcraft II, Need for Speed World, and Microsoft Security Essentials, but I doubt one of those is the source of problem.

Now that clients are using Windows 7 SOME of them cannot log in because their LOCAL domain name is part of the USERNAME . LOCALDOMANUSERNAME . they cannot change it .they cannot use the User another account setting after using it 1 time.I have had them remove the autocomplete option under tools, content, ssl, username/password.i have had them clear the SSL state.It seems to only happen with Windows 7 pro when they have their own domain set up at their office.

I'm trying to upload files to an ftp site hosted by the software company whose program I'm using, but I can't open their ftp site in Windows Explorer. I'm using IE9, and running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit.
To address the common responses right off the bat:
1-Under internet options advanced tab I have "enable ftp folder view (outside of internet explorer)" checked, as well as "use passive ftp"
2-I do not have a Windows Firewall turned on.
3-When I try to connect to the network location in order to create a shortcut, I get an error saying the ftp site is incorrect, even though I'm copying and pasting the address from the URL to the command menu.
4-Alt-F, View, open in Windows Explorer gives me an error message saying the site can't be opened in Windows Explorer.
I'm on a network, and we're all running the same systems, but for some reason my boss' and my co-worker's computers allow me to open the ftp site in Windows Explorer without error messages.
I have not been able to get any email on my [url]..addresses. My verizon mail works and some of my hotmail accounts work. Also, I can't seem to get onto most microsoft sites.

2. then i went to Download Angry Birds to download the demo version of angrybirds.
3. my first computer could not download it, it says "unable to connect" , but my second computer can download perfectly..
4. so now, i bought the angry birds game from rovio, i used my 1st computer to activate the game, guess what, activation cannot connect, so i cannot activate my game in 1st computer, but can activate in my 2nd computer..
5. what can be the problem with my 1st computer? they have both same IP's?

I found out that there had been a bad driver released that altered fan operation. I think that may have been the real cause of the card failure.Since then I've wondered about that. I think if you're not having any issues maybe the best policy might be "If it ain't broke don't fix it".

Finally after a while it says "Shutting Down" with the spinning circle, but never shuts down. Neither ASUS or HP are willing to provide any free support.This is somewhat frustrating as the BIOS in situ appears to be the original 2003 version. I could have easily updated this to the latest version before I upgraded the OS to Windows 7, but now it is to late.

I only ask because it would be a pain to back up everything or can I get away with just backing up the C: drive.
My main problem is I have a BD movie player that keeps reacting badly to windows updates. Yes I turned it completely off and did not have it connected to the net but somehow it found 1 rouge update that when I had no choice but turn it off it installed it. I have always hated updates but never has it caused me this much grief.
