I got a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error with bug code 0x0000009f. I have changed to a SSD for my main drive (was working on a 500 GB segate before perfectly but wanted an upgrade) with a 750gb wd black as my secondary. Also I get this error only when installing (for first time) or playing GTA-IV. The first BSOD out of the two I got was when I had the install hang up so I tried to quit the process then it hit the blue screen right there. The second one was during game play.
HP Pavilion dv7 4071nr
Windows 7 Home Premium (not SP1)
Intel Core i7-Q720
ATI Radeon HD 5650 Graphics w/cataylst 12.1 and 8.930.0.0 driver
OCZ Agility 3 240GB SSD w/ 2.15 firmware
WDC Scorpio Black 750GB storage drive
Gskill 2x4GB 1333 Ram
Intel Wifi Link 1000BGN w/ 14.3.0.6 driver
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller w/ 7.50.1123.2011 driver
If you need any more information let me know, this was just an SSD upgrade and I "restored" my Recovery Discs onto the SSD for the operating system.

I've been getting random BSODs over the past several months. The latest is the one listed in the thread title, but I've also had the following:
- Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error, 0x0000007A
- Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area, 0x00000050
- A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited, 0x000000F4
Whenever I get one of these, it also gives the additional error "Physical memory dump Failed with status 0xC0000010"I've seen about a dozen BSODs in the past 12 months with these four errors, and I think all of them have been while I had left the computer idle for various amounts of time (never more than a few hours).I built this computer from the ground up with all new components a year ago and have been running Win 7 Ultimate x64, no re-installs.

Attached: VizulizeBSOD.zip(Dump Files and PERFMON Report)I recently (about a week ago) reinstalled Windows 7 Professional 64 bit onto my computer (retail version), as I was not making good usage of my SSD boot drive. As far as I am aware, all of my drivers are fully up-to-date (I used the latest "DriverPack Solution").I am not in my typical environment, and am using a different monitor to what I would be at home (which is HDMI) - though I doubt this will be affecting anything.Everything in the computer except a couple of the hard drives is about a year old.

Lately I have been experiencing a BSOD when I shutdown my laptop. The computer tries to shutdown for about 5-10 minutes before finally blue screening with a RIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error. This problem does not occur every time I shutdown my laptop, but it seems that the longer my computer is on, the more likely it is to blue screen on shutdown. The problem may be caused by driver for either my external monitor, keyboard, or printer, as the BSOD never occurred when I was using my laptop without them attached a few weeks agFrom what I can tell after searching the problem, I likely need to update some driver, but I have no idea which driver(s) are causing the problem. I have included the Minidumps, and I believe all of them are for different occurrences of the same problem

I've had a Dell Laptop (l502x) with Windows 7 Premium 64 Bit for almost a year now. It's a great thing, except for one thing: i get about 1 BSOD every 1-2 days.As it happens only once every other day, i almost got used to it, but now it's starting to get on my nerves and I'm wondering what is causing it, as they are totally random. On the Dell support website they told me to try the Windows Debugging Tool, which then showed me it had to do with wwussf64.sys. According to some dubious 'anti-virus' sites on the internet this was linked to some Ericsson software, although i don't have any.Might be interesting to know, when they delivered the laptop in 2011, the backlit keyboard was not working, and they had to replace the keyboard and motherboard twice to get it working.

Anyone who can cypher their meaning?

I just today managed to get a program to read .dmp files, and have my two most recent .dmp files for you to view. I had a blue screen from avast's self-protection driver so I removed avast and put on a different antivirus(I used avast's official uninstaller). I still am getting blue screens, but now they are staying the same (IRQL ones).

The last couple of weeks I've been having this issue where my computer will freeze/lock-up hard. And by hard I mean that I can't launch the Task Manager, move the mouse cursor, or anything...it's completely unresponsive. To get the machine working again I have to physically restart it using the Power button or the Reset button. I initially thought that it was overheating, so I opened up the case and gave it a good cleaning with a compressed air duster and verified that the fans worked properly. No dice. I then reformatted and reinstalled Windows. Again, no luck...the issue just keeps happening. I ran MemTest overnight, and that came through clean. I haven't found any issues from Disk Check, and MSE comes back with a clean report. Here are my system specs:
Windows 7 Professional x64, Retail
Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
Asus P5K SE/EPU
6 GB RAM
nVidia Geforce 9800 GT
2x 500 GB HD, 1x 320 GB HD
Last, but not least, I ran a System Health Report that's attached to this post. I took a look through it, and I'm a little confused by some of the errors it found. Namely, I don't have a PS/2 keyboard; my printer is working just fine; I've uninstalled LogMeIn, and I have MSE installed. The Health Report seems to be..

I am not confidant that I posess the skills, vocabulary or knowledge needed to participate in this forum however this random shut down problem has become so regular that I require some assistance. Essentially it feels like every time I leave the computer unattended for more than an hour or two I return to find the black screen of death telling me my computer did not shut down properly. Attached is the SF Tools file you reference. - Have figured out how to use Event viewer - 17 Critical Event occurances involving Kernal-power (Event ID41 Task Category63) since 2012_06_02; 1xJune 02, 1xJune 06, 1xJun 18, 1xJun 23, 2xAug 08, 3xAug 10, 1xAug 11, then twice daily since the 12th.

I am occuring a strange error when I use Windows Update on a fresh installation of Windows 7 Pro. What happens is that when I install the first batch major updates. which is around 100 security and straight updates before Service Pack 1. I restart Windows to install them and during Stage 3 my computer restarts and then goes back and finishes the installation. Then when I get back into Windows I have a Error in Event Viewer with the ID of 7023 stating that Windows Modules Install had exited with error code %%16405. Windows Updater says that everything installed correctly and has no failed updates and doesn't show a error. Searching the internet has only given me a few hits and the one suggested installing SP1 before updating which I did and did not stop this problem.
