Sep 21, 2012Accidentally deleted nvidia display control panel from computer two days ago, is it possible to retrieve it or do i have to reinstall from the vendor?

Setting it up, the NVIDIA option on the control panel has disappeared.Instead, I have the Windows control panel for setting up a monitor, and the nVIDIA device driver for the monitor has disappeared. (There used to be two, the Intel 4 chipset for integrated graphics, and a second one for the nVIDIA device.)The Intel 4 device now lists "NVIDIA" as the manufacturer, NVIDIA is listed as the driver provider (driver version 8.15.11.8688 from 2009). There is an install date of 1/29/2012 though I've had the PC since 2009.Jan 2012 was about the time I reloaded a standard WIN7 after getting fed up with ASUS support for their OEM version (long story).I haven't looked at this in a long time, so no idea what happened.I would rather use the NVIDIA chipset, I think it works better than the integrated (that's why I bought it in the first place.)How can I get the NVIDIA chipset back up and running?

Oct 25, 2009Having a major problem trying to install the latest drivers for my 8800GT, I went to hook my rig up to my 42" LCD TV through the HDMI input (something I did all the time while on XP) after a clean install of Windows 7 X64. I noticed the desktop was to big for the screen so I went to install 191 driver so I could get the control panel to adjust it.
The install starts fine gets to the installing drivers box but then the install just hangs go's blank, comes back hangs then get a notice say something like "the system could not be updated......."
I've tired unistalling the drivers from the device manager and reinsatlling all in safe mode. The same thing happened trying to install the driver again and there was no "Display Adapter " in device manager. I then restarted and the card installed(the driver?) it's self again
When I check the driver version its 8.15.11.8618
Anyone have any ideas whats going?

Jul 16, 2009I have the GA-EX58-Extreme Board and have just installed the pre release of Windows 7 7600 64 bit. Normally i have experience to get the BSOD when in staling with AHCI active in bios so i change to IDE mode. Installation went flawless and also the change to AHCI mode on Intel ICH10R controler went normal.
As always i got problem to change the J micron controller to AHCI and of cause i got the BSOD again. I installed the latest R1.17.48.16 driver and tryed again but no luck. Can some tell me what i am doing wrong. ? I have a hardisk and a dvd drive attached to the J micron Sata connection.

My Motherboard comes with Vista drivers, but I heard that even that are creating problems for video and audio. Should I download any specific drivers beforehand?
Windows 7 Uninstall Panel Cluttered?

See, I just tried out windows 8 and noticed that the uninstall window only had the two programs which I had manually installed, Firefox and Xfire.Windows 7 has all the programs I install, just seems like there are duplicates.
