Hello folks I am an 84 year old lady & am hoping 1 of you bright young things can help me get back on track.I used to be able to go to my explorer find a page copy the link & then paste it onto my dasktop if it were 1 that I would use often. I seem to have lost my ability to do this.
I have an windows 7 on my network connected to a domain, and i have on the desktop links to a shared folders to one samba server (AIX). Time to time all links to that server are missing.Everything works fine, all the connections to that server are ok, but no links on desktop, i re-create the links and all works fine for a couple of time.

I just got Windows 7 recently. Was trying to open an old .txt file and the file could only be viewed as the tiny thumbnail at the bottom. My glasses may need to be changed but I don't think anyone can read that small!! You can visually see notepad opening a new window and flying to the right edge of the screen as it maximizes and completely disappears

I am trying to copy some symbols from "Wingdings" font using chamap. When I paste the symbols in notepad (I changed font to Wingdings for notepad) I see unknown rectangular characters. I selected this font from charmap and when I pasted this in note pad I got this:I don't know where I am doing mistake. As suggested, I made all fonts visible in C:windowsfonts folder.
