Not An Authentic Copy Of Windows Message Just Started Showing Up

I have an ASUS laptop with Windows 7 installed. It was purchased from Office Max in October 2010. Never had any problems until two weeks ago when a rogue message showed up in the lower right-corner of the screen telling me my copy of Windows was not authentic. I have the COA attached to the bottom of my computer with the product key, etc.
Might there be a new virus out that is causing this to happen? With that said, my ability to download any MS updates is now gone when up until this time I had downloaded every important and critical update recommended by MS.

I have suddenly notice that when I place my mouse over the View Desktop button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, there is a message telling me that my version of Windows 7 is not authentic. But it is, and was pre-installed on my laptop when I bought it

Today when I started my computer I got this error message titled RunDLL. It said that there was a problem initializing C:Windowssystem32HIMYM.DLL

Received above cheerio about a week ago ignored it and carried on as I knew my version was indeed genuine have had it for three years. 2 days ago, after normal start up,the screen went blank actually black , and the only thing showing is the above message again ,with the notation " Build 7601 " Unable to get any thing to come up at all except " Task Master " reference which proved to be useless.So made the call to Microsoft in Manila, and was able to convince them that my item was " genuine " however they then left me "in the lurch " saying I need to get in a tech guy, as the MS guy could not guide me out of my black screen situation, tho he gave me several ideas to try and pull up the "Start " button and get back in,So any ideas how I can get myself back to " Square One " ?? let MS know I am not impressed -- they cause the problem , in my opinion.

A couple of days ago, my laptop which is a few months old, started showing the message on my desktop Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not Genuine" and was asked to validate my Windows. My Windows 7 was pre-installed by the manufacturer and I do not have a key to validate it? I have not had any issues with it so far. I have double checked for any malware etc, no viruses present.

Basically, my Windows was messed up so I re-installed Windows Vista 32 bit onto my computer. My copy of Windows 7 is a .iso from Microsoft and its 64 bit. Whenever I try to run i get an error message about it being the wrong type of Windows. I'm guessing that this is because I have 4gb of ram but windows vista 32 bit has reduced it to 3gb and I read online that you need at least 4gb to run Windows 7. How do I go about re-installing Windows 7?

I bought Win 7 Ultimate for 2 installs over a year ago. I bought an Asus Laptop a year ago which came win the 7 Home and upgraded to Ultimate with no problems at all. 3 months ago I bought a Dell with 7 Home and upgraded it to Ultimate. Again no problems! About a week ago I started getting multiple error message on the Asus stating that my Windows 7 was NOT valid. Now today I am getting the same messages on the Dell. Not able to get help from Microsoft which keeps insisting that these operating systems are invalid. Two huge questions: IF this is actually the case why would it be such a very long time before getting these error messages, Also, what are the options now I am being told there are 30 days remaining before the OS on both systems locks up?

I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron 17R laptop. Inside the program "Dell Support Center" it tells me that BITS - Demand Started to Auto Started. I don't know what BITS is. It runs in the System Services. Should I disable the BITS?

I just upgraded to Windows 7 on my notebook and installed latest version of authentec fingerprint drivers. After installation, I notice that there is TrueSuite 2.0 fingerprint software included with the drivers, which is made by authentec also, and it can read fingerprints fine and log me into windows too. But when I install digitalpersona 4.0.1, it complaints that the fingerprint reader is not attached. Only if TrueSuite could log me into website as well using fingerprints, I wouldn't even bother about DigitalPersona, but since its only for logging into windows, i want to get DP working. Is someone else facing similar problem with DP not working with Authectec reader on Windows 7 so far?

When moving or renaming files I frequently get an error messages informing me that "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program". This typically happens with the second or third folder I try to rename or move. Navigating away to another folder and then coming back or closing explorer and reopening it usually helps but on the second rename or move I'm back to square one. I've been reading and searching on the forum and this is what I have tried so far:stop the windows media player network sharing servicepause indexingtemporarily disable antivirus softwareused the system file checker to check integrityall to no avail. This is without a doubt the most annoying "bug" I have run into so far as it makes it virtually impossible to get anything done or organised. I have WIN 7 64-bit Home Premium with MS Ofice 2003.
After copying some files to a DVD I continue to get a message saying that these files are still available for copying. I would like to get rid of whatever it is which is causing this message but don't know where to look for these files so that I can remove them as I have finished with the copying of files at the moment.

I have one internal drive with 1 TB. The data there is very important to me , so I bought External removable drive for backup. Now, I want to copy the data from one drive to the second drive but I have to be sure I have a perfect copy of the data. The data is mostly songs movies and documents. I'm using windows 7.
My question is this:
1.If I'll transfer the data through windows 7 by copy and paste, I could be sure i have a perfect copy? 2.There are tools for comparison Between the original data to the data that was copied?

when i start the windows 7 install, it takes forever at the loading windows screen, thn goes to a blank screen with just a cursor on it. it wont even start the install screen. i have to install windows7, because anytime you unplug my computer when its on, it corrupts the os so it wont start. and the cord got caught in the sweeper and unplugged.

I have been using 7 for several months now but it suddenly developed several faults. wmp locks up wont play at hard drive light stays on after boot up
dvd drawer wont open after boot up
cant run ms updates just locks up
wont log off need to use power switch
