i installed windows 7 Ult.ed successfully and tried to install my Nero 7 but discovered taht it was not compatible even nero 10, any software taht does the same things as Nero but compatible with windows ult ed?

This laptop has a Windows media centre edition 2002 cd key sticker attached.I then went on to install vmware and tried to install windows xp mce on it.Now I lost the recovery disk supplied and the laptop manufacturer asked me to pay in order to re-deliver the disk. So I downloaded Windows XP MCE 2005 OEM edition instead but it does not take the cd key I was supplied it with.Here is my question,a. Why isn't the windows accepting my cd key prior to the installation? I thought the cd key supplied from laptop are all OEM copies and I am using the same machine?Could it be due to the different cpu and ram amount allocation? At the moment i have windows 32 bit installed, as my computer crashed and i needed to do a fresh install of windows and installed the 32 bit version by mistake. I have a copy of the 64 bit windows and am trying to install it, however it keeps freezing on computer restart. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and system is about one month old. Bought the Ultimate because it's supposed to allow you to install older programs. Today, I tried to install my Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced (retail disc). It went so far and threw up an error. Tried reinstalling to no avail. Now it won't even let me uninstall it (it starts to uninstall then throws an error). It appears to have all the folders on my C drive now but it does not start. Should I try reinstalling or uninstalling in Safe Mode
