When you run the GPRESULTS on the laptop, I see the policy settings being applied EXCEPT for the LOGON script. Its not there. I dont see any errors and cant figure out why Windows would ignore this one setting in the policy but apply the rest. I've tried deleting and recreating the policy but that does not work.

But there is only one thing that is reproducible: When both my audio driver and my network driver are enabled, and a sound is played, the sound infinitely stutters and windows totally freezes. A client of mine uses an old dos based database program that can't print to any printer that uses a USB connection, but it works fine with parallel. I've just upgraded them to Windows 7, and some of their printers (which I didn't know at the time, I wish I did), don't have compatible Windows 7 drivers. Does anybody here know of a new model printer that still can use a parallel port and works with windows 7? I know HP Laserjet 1300 works, because they have several of those, but I'm hoping I can find actual new machines (it's a longshot, I know).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install the Windows 7 32-Bit upgrade on my Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop and I get an error that says that I need to update my ATI AHCI Compatible RAID Driver. I went into the Update Device Drivers as suggested in the instructions and tried to upgrade that driver, but it says I have the latest driver for it. So I tried restarting my laptop and ran the upgrade setup again, and got the same error message.
Any ideas on what I need to do to get it to upgrade? I tried searching all over and can not find a newer version than what I have (2.5.1540.48).
