View 1 RepliesBeen happening to me for awhile computer will either crash after running for awhile and sometimes the BSOD will state a reason of Cache Manage or System Service Exception, or no reason at all. Sometimes the computer just randomly restarts though.

My computer has been restarting randomly for the past few days and it's driving me crazy since I'm a student and I really need my computer to do all of my homeworks. After the last unplanned restart, I went to event viewer--windows logs--system, and it appears that the restart was because of:Source: USER32The process svchost.exe has initiated the restart of computer HOST-PC on behalf of user NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM for the following reason: Operating System: Hot fix (Planned)Reason Code: 0x80020011Shutdown Type: restart
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, about 2 weeks ago I got an email from my ISP that said they were switching from CA internet security to McAfee. I removed CA and installed McAfee. Two days later, my PC restarted while I was watching a movie. No BSOD, no warning, just a restart. When it comes back up I get the "Windows recovered from an unexpected shutdown" message. It has done it randomly ever since. I can be surfing the web or playing a game or watching a movie. It doesnt happen during any specific activity. I can have several things running or just one thing.I dont get it.So, since I despise McAfee anyway, I uninstalled it and got AVG for now. But, about 20 minutes after I did that, it restarted again. I dont get it. I read the post instructions and did what it said to do, hopefully correctly. So, hopefully someone can tell me what the deal is and how to fix it. Ive never had any issues out of this PC that I didnt cause and fix right away until I switched antivirus programs. [code]
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy problem started about a month ago, at first I was ignoring it because I didn't care much, now it's becoming annoying.
Let me explain what my problem is. When I turn on my computer it does the normal stuff, but at some point before I get the chance to log in it either: Freezes, automatically restarts with no error, sends me a blue screen, the screen goes like when your tv doesn't have signal (all those colors) or it either shuts down. Now, 1-2 times I actually get to log in and when I'm prompted in my user desktop it always does the same thing I listed above. The weird thing is, after about 6-7 restarts when I log in it actually works with no restarts whatsoever, I can play all day long with no more restarts.

I just came back after a few days out, and for some reason my PC cashed several times today. So my PC will restart (more like crash) after I log-in, it is random, it can crash in a few seconds or a few minutes. Last time I used my PC, the "5,6,7" keyboard buttons didn't work (Logitech G15), I usually shutdown my PC every time I go to sleep or go out). I know that the computer crashes because, when I boot I get a screen telling me windows did not shut down correctly and I can use windows normally or with safe mode. PC specs:Windows 7 32 bitnVidia 260 GTX 4 g"b ddr2 ramIntel E8500 Duo 3.16 GHz Antivirus:Avast free + malwarebytes free I've tried to find solutions for the problem and even:- Tried to open case, and tighten cables.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy computer has randomly been starting to restart itself when unattended. I turned it on one day and then left it unattended for a bit, and then noticed that when I came back to it, the computer was at the login screen. I thought it was nothing, so ignored it and kept going, until it happened again. Now it happens anytime the computer is left on, unused for more than like, 20-30 minutes. If I'm actively using it, typing, or on the internet, or playing games, whatever, it stays on without problems.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy computer keeps restarting while playing games. It does it randomly sometimes seconds into a game, sometimes hours. There are no error messages or anything. It's been doing this on and off since I built this pc, I've tried older and latest graphics drivers from Nvidia 275.33 to 306.23 with no change.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo basically I'm in the middle of something and my pc just dies, not so much shuts down more like a power failure, then restarts itself. This happens all the time. Sometimes the reboot ocuurs while the pc is starting and happears a message that says the computer was unable to start. But strangely when I use large programs like when I play games like wow or aion the computer doenst reboot, I can play for hours perfectly, and in safe mode occures the same i can be on the computer in safe mode for hours doing any thing that doensnt reboot.(NOTE: sometimes the pc just freezes instead of rebooting but when it freezes I cant do anithing so I have to reboot my computer( I have to reboot the same -.-).
When the computer reboots doenst happear a blue ecran screen of dead, its like a power failure.
My problem its just like when its describe in this site he doensnt show a solution to the problem. Here is the link to the site: [URL].
Ok so this all started when i wanted to add new ram. I was running on 4gbs of ram then i recently bought 2 4gbs of ram so installed it and then my computer started randomly restarting. Then i changed the ram back to how it was and it is still happening now. Im not sure what to do exactly.

Also i am running speed fan to see if the heat is the problem.but currently everything is fine. GPU at 58c CPU at 46c so im not sure what the problem is exactly.
For the past few weeks, my computer has been experiencing a couple of different failures. Sometimes it freezes up (including the mouse), sometimes it BSODs (different error messages at different times), and sometimes it just shuts off and restarts, as if the power had been momentarily cut. Sometimes it goes a few days between failures, and sometimes it happens multiple times an hour.I've tried the following:update drivers restore from restore point from before the problem started memtest86 (ran 11 times with no errors) reinstall Windows Here are the specs from the TSG SysInfo:Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bitProcessor:[CODE]

When it restarts sometimes it has to boot a couple of times, it seems as though it can' boot the BIOS, the bios splash screen is also different, this also changed 2 days ago. The first couple of times it froze, now it just restarts randomly. I suspect the motherboard.

I can be doing anything (I work on my computer I don't play games) so my normal activity is forums, skype, ftp..etc.I have not been able to identify any particular pattern or software when it happens, but the one thing that does happen is when it first happens, it says "Bad header Pool" then restarts, and it is merely a matter of minutes before it happens again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust yesterday my desktop (currently using laptop) randomly restarted and now no .exe files will open. I have searched the forums and some posts suggested combofix. However, I cannot access the internet nor can I open any files. I also ran the computer in safemode and still no luck. I have the following antivirus programs: AVG 2012, Malwarbyte, Super antivirus, and CC cleaner. Oddly enough, CC cleaner and Super antivirus works normally but doesn't fix any problems. I would say 90% of my programs cannot open. I can run the command prompt as well.Things I have tried:
1) system restore
2) System recovery options
I have 4 computers in my office.Out of 4,3 of them has a problem for the past 2 months. They all run windows 7.
They keep working for about 30 mins to 1 hour after which they suddenly goes into power saving mode. The monitor goes dark but the CPU light and the fan still work. Then after 10-20 seconds it automatically restarts.
When logging in after the restart,It shows "The system has recovered from a serious error".This happens every 30 mins and for these 3 systems.(I bought it from the same shop last year),But the other one works perfect for about 4 years.
I have tried cleaning the fan, sink and even reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7.Still the problem persists.
i got an error message that system suddenly trying to restart and showing that a problem has been detected to prevent your computer with so and so in blue screen how can i repair this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the student version of Windows 7. I'm running Vista business so I had to do a clean install which went fine, it went through the first two steps fine (I forget the names) and then says it needs to restart to finish.
It restarts, goes to the new windows start up screen (which looks nice), that screen goes away and then shows the cursor for about 5 seconds and then the system restarts. It'll do this for hours. I also have a DVD version of it, tried that, same story. I've tried updating drivers, unplugging everything, and hitting F8, nothing worked. Any other ideas?
For a while i have come across this annoying problem with my system. When I press the shut down button on the start menu it just restarts. Its not always but when it happens ,it continously restarts until i get pissed and just press reset and immediately press the cabinet power button when the POST screen comes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Full Retail The hardware is maybe about a year old at this point.I've only installed the OS once.s a side note, this occurrence isn't consistent. Meaning that the system will run perfectly fine for days ( and even a week in some cases ) before restarting itself. The only thing I've been able to pin point is that it'll happen while I'm playing World of Warcraft most often. My video card drivers seem to be up to date ( Catalyst 11.10 ). I've re-installed the drivers a few times using the control panel ( Add / Remove ), and then manually deleting folders and registry information that happened to be remaining. As another side note, I should also mention that I've come across one other problem that I'm able to fix after booting up. I don't believe this issue is at all related to what's been happening lately, but every time the computer is booted up for the first time it will eventually lock up when ever I move the mouse or stroke a key.I'm able to fix this by using the hardware troubleshooting that Windows 7 has. Once I run that the problem is resolved indefinitely until the computer is restarted
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy previous OS is Windows Vista Starter w/c is very much annoying IMHO, so I installed another OS which is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Edition in a partition and this is the one I'm using at the moment. View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I boot up my computer, things start smoothly. My mo-bo flashes and my BIOS Setup is available. Once on the "Starting Windows" screen with the pulsing windows logo, about 10 seconds in the screen will freeze. After staying frozen for a moment, the screen goes dark and my monitor reports: Quote: NO SIGNAL DIGITAL At this point my machine is still running; LEDs, Temp. readout, fans, etc. still function as normal. Motherboard reports no error. My only option is to force a shutdown or restart. Once I do, things start over.Mobo flashes, and now instead of the 'Starting Windows' screen, I get an error message reading:"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. If windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, startup repair can help diagnose and fix the problem. If power was interrupted during startup, choose start windows normally."My options are:Launch Startup Repair (Recommended)Start Windows Normally. If I start Windows Normally, it goes straight to the 'Starting Windows' screen, where it often will freeze once again and follow up with a 'No Signal' message. Occassionally, it will not freeze and make it to the Windows Log-in screen (hurray!). Punching in my password takes me to a 'Welcome' screen with a swirling blue circle, and this page will often freeze, the screen goes dark, and 'No Signal' appears. Only on a rare occassion will my system actually start Windows, load my desktop and start-up programs. When it does, my computer will run anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple hours until it will lag, freeze, go dark (No Signal), and force a restart.
Instead, should I choose to Launch Startup Repair, I end up with a 20-minute scan that reports Startup Repair cannot fix the issue automatically. The report (for whatever it's worth) it supplied with my last attempt is as follows: Quote: Problem Event Name:

Sometimes instead of a 'Windows has failed to start' error message, I receive an improper shutdown notice and am given options to start in Safe Mode (or Safe Mode with Networking). My system is always able to start and run fine in Safe Mode.I have been struggling with this issue for a few months and have since replaced my processor and motherboard, and sent my video card in for repairs. Whether or not Asus actually did anything to my GPU remains unknown.
I have an Asus Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T6500 @2.10GHZ LAPTOP. I am a basic computer user and simply tried to upgrade to Windows 7 because when I purchased the computer in August it came with a free upgrade.
I performed the upgrade check and folllowed the Windows 7 sugestions. I hit the upgrade button and 2.5 hours later things were going fine. The last step was approx 50% finished (Trasferring files, drives, etc.)
The system retstarted automatically and I received the Bootmgr is missing. I went on the forum and found a sugestion to Boot from the DVD. I tried this and it worked. System rebboted fine. Got a message to repair or revover. I repaired the start up. That worked and now the computer starts from its own hard drive.
After startup, "starting windows", I see wa window that says Setup is starting services and then I get a window box that says, "Th computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows Installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.
When I hit ok, the computer restarts and I eventually circle back to this screen.
Do I need to initiate something to restart the installation?
I am using windows 7 ultimate edition here my system restarts eery 2 seconds with a blue screen error, i hae tried cleaning the ram but it is not coming up at all, what may be the solution .

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay so I've just built my first rig from scratch yay!!. But it keeps crashing at random times even when I'm not using it. I'll get a blue screen that either says pfn_list_corruption ir memory corruption. I've tried looking up these issues online and to know surprise I havn't found a thread where the main culprit of this problem has been found.
I do know that it is a memory related issue lol or it could be a bad driver. Which I don't think it's a bad driver because I've just reinstalled windows 7 and the only driver I have downloaded were the windows updates and for my graphics card. So now I'm trying to learn how to use windows debugger to narrow down the source of the problem.
I've been getting random system freezes when playing COD MW3 and after I restart my PC I get a report for BSOD 124. What I've checked until now:
1.Non of my components is overheating or actually heating at all, since I have excellent custom cooling.
2. Checked my memory with a 10 hours memtest for windows 4 instances, each 1500MB.
3. Checked my PSU with a multimeter for 1 hour during load/idle. It's within specs.
4. Not overclocking.
My specs are.
ASUS P5QC
Intel C2Q Q9550
2x4GB Kingston HyperX BLU DDR3 1600MHz CL9 @ 1333 MHz
Sapphire 4890 1gb
WD Caviar Black 1TB
CM Silent Pro 850W
I think these random freezes/lockups are related to some software conflict. I had a similar problem with some games running PB, and it appeared that PB has conflict with MSI Afterburner, so after I uninstalled afterburner I stopped getting it. The problem is that now my system freezes when I play Single PLayer/Spec Ops on MW3, which has nothing to do with PB.
