Multiple Instances Of Psp?

I have windows 7 64 and have installed paint shop pro v.7. Every time I open a jpg it opens in a new instance of paint shop instead of opening the picture in the already running instance of the program. I know that there is a way to correct this, but I don't know it, there are several threads online about how to solve this in XP, but not windows 7.

I need to Run multiple instances of 1 program at once (prob 6 or 8 (cpu power is not an issue)) but theres a catch... there is a problem with the program and it only works right if you right-click on the desktop icon and click "run as the administrator" ... (each instance would be interacting with a different usb/serial/Com port device i don't know if that would be a problem)?

I have just clean installed my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and after installing all my apps and drivers I'm finding a stupid and irritating problem.every time I download a .torrent file and tell it to open with (uTorrent) default app it will open another instance of the app and then I have to close the older one because it doesn't register that it has a new torrent only in the new instance does it. this also goes for anything I download with IDM Internet Download Manager whenever the completed download dialog appears another instance of IDM open in the tray and the older instance doesn't register that it has downloaded the file.also I have always used Enqueue in Winamp and even with the settings like that if I enqueue or open a music file it opens another instance of winamp instead of just opening in the current instance. the allow multiple instances is not ticked.I'm not sure if there are other programs doing this but this is really troubling me as I have just finished a clean install and am happy with my settings.

When looking in taskmgr, I find 14 instances of Internet Explorer running, each using around 21MB of RAM. why there are so many? If I close out of IE completely, they are still there...

I NEED a way to open multiple instances of the Windows On-Screen Keyboard at once. Right now, if i try to open it a second time, it opens the first one (doesnt create a new instance).
i have been to many forums on the internet and still cant find a clear solution. I considered getting a third party control for this, but even they are opening only once.

1. If I have a primarily single threaded 32 bit application that I want to run multiple instances of on a Win 7 64 bit machine...in order to take advantage of throughput on 2xquad core cpu's
a. Will each instance of the 32 bit application be limited to 2GB of 32 bit addressable memory?
b. Will the total memory available to all of the running 32 bit applications be only 3.25GB or will a machine with say 64GB of memory parse out 32 2GB partitions to 32 unique windows of an application?
2. If the application has driver interfaces only certified in Windows XP (and not functioning in Win 7 (32 or 64 bit)), what is the impact of question 1 above on running multiple instances of the same application in XP SP3 compatibility mode (e.g. are there additional memory/graphic limits imposed)?

i have Outlook 2007 pinned to my taskbar. i have notification behavior set to Hide icon and notifications. I have Outlook set to Hide When Minimized.k, so, whenever i want to see Outlook, i simply click the pinned shortcut on taskbar. when i want to hide it, i click the same icon, and it disappears and goes back to the small pinned icon form. i repeat if i want to see outlook again.... however! doing this, i noticed that each time i click the pinned icon, it is loading a new instance of Outlook 2007.i realized this when i saw the notifications area, and realized there were multiple Outlook 2007 windows available. (right clickign the notifications icon displays the "Open Outlook" button, not as a link, but as a menu.)how can i prevent taskbar from loading multiple instances?

if i open a single instance of ie9 it will work fine no issues, if i split or open a second instance of ie9 all hell breaks loose memory faults appear to occur for no reason and kernal power failures..now i can do the exact same thing with safari chrome firefox and opera and no problems occur at all. i can open 4 games do a full render in 3ds all at the same time as watching a movie and streaming content online and chatting on steam while talking on skype, yet if i open ie9 well it all comes crumbling down around me?so the common area is ie9 as when that opens it seems to just create problems with it closed my pc runs like a dream for weeks on end no issues faults or problems.now i know the easy solution is to just not use ie9...the problem is i kinda like it, i'm not a fan of chrome or some of the others i've yet to really give firefox a good try though.so i need some help with this it's driving me nuts now after 4 months of doing it i've changed ram, power supply all my cables twice as i thought hey they could be the fault yet the problem remains?

I need to resolve a problem with a crashing program. I've gone as far as I can with removing almost everything off of my production system. Ideally, I'd like to install Windows 7 on a separate disk, install the problem program and just see if it works on a pristine system. Tech support for the program is clueless as it is a unique problem. I've searched the net far and wide and no one seems to have this problem. Is there a way to do this without pulling plugs on drives and messing up the mbr location(s)?

I am running Win 7_7600 RTM x64.
I was thinking of installing an identical copy on another partition on the same drive. I intend using the 2nd install as a testbed to try different SW before installing it in my main partition.
Is there likely to be any problem if I create such an install?
I am assuming the system will recognize each as a separate install even though the same OS and will keep them distinctly apart.

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7. I am used to XP's picture and fax viewer where when you are viewing a photo and click on a new one, it opens in the same window. With Windows 7 Photo Viewer, everytime you click to a new photo it opens a new window, even if you click the same photo. Before I know it I have 20 photo viewers open.I can't find a preference to always open the next photo in the same window. I found the same question posted elsewhere on the web but nobody had an answer.

I have one of the more odd situations I've run into, and of course it's on my computer vs one that I'm trying to repair. Keyboard inputs don't get recognized within some flash games.
Have Win7 x64 with a Microsoft Sidewinder X6, also have a Nostromo. neither will work singularly, neither will work together in several flash games. They do work in some, just not all.
Have tried to update drivers, have tried checking in device manager and uninstalling both then reinstalling each individually and they continue to do similar within those. Have a similar problem in Firefox as well as Chrome. Flash version is: 10,3,181,26
problem also exists in Duke Nukem Forever, but although the problem is similar, I think it's a distinct problem there as some inputs work and all inputs work in some instances but just in gameplay that it isn't working and allowing me to move and/or control two examples of ones that don't work, and one that does: [URL] Also works flawlessly in Battlefield Bad Company 2 and numerous other games.
System Particulars:
AMD Phenom X4 965
8 GB Ram
Sata HDDs
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Microsoft Sidewinder X6
Nostromo N52
Logitech Performance MX Mouse

I'm running Windows 7 Professional x64. I have Microsoft Office 2007 installed and I want Outlook to startup when I startup Windows. I only have the one User account in Windows, so I initially put a shortcut of the outlook.exe in the user startup folder. But to no avail, it didn't startup. So I then cut and pasted this shortcut to the All users startup folder. This worked and it starts up when windows does. The problem is it starts up twice. I then opened msconfig to lookup startup programs. There are 2 instances of the Outlook listed but when I disable one it disables both and nothing starts up. I then re-enable it and it starts up twice again.

I recently installed windows 7 home premium on my new SSD drive. I previously had windows 7 installed on a 2GB HHD drive (same win dvd, same serial). I booted with windows dvd, and formatted the old c: (which had windows on it). The HHD drive had 2 partitions and i kept the other one ,which only contained one folder with aprox 10 GB of random files, but nothing windows related).
Windows is now up and running from my SSD disc, but in the boot sequence two(!) windows 7 installations are shown, and I'm asked to choose which one i wanna boot with. The top alternative works as intended, but the other one tells me to make a windows repair with the windows dvd. I do not want to repair this (non existing) instance of windows. I want it removed! How do I make it disappear?

Basically, I've recently made the long-overdue transition from a 5-years old Windows XP machine to a brand-new Windows 7 one, which I've now had for a few days. Only yesterday, what appears to be a small bug reared it's ugly head.
Any file or folder created or moved onto my Desktop is automatically duplicated with another instance of that item. I say an instance because it's not simply a copy of that file, strictly-speaking, because when the duplicate is clicked, it opens the original file. So, I'm left with two instances of the same file on my Desktop. Just to make this clearer, suppose that, as an example, I created/moved a Plain Text file onto my Desktop. A duplicate of that item would then appear. When clicked, this duplicate opens the very same file, meaning therefore, that I have two instances of the same file. In case you were wondering, the duplicate is also not a shortcut to the original file: bringing up its properties, it has the exact same properties as the originally-created one does. I hope everyone's following me so far.
As well as the strange behaviour mentioned above, the bug also affects deleting files or folders in the Desktop. As I've already said, two instances of the file are created when a file is created on the Desktop. In the same way, deleting one instance of the file also deletes the other - but not straight away. It registers as deleted, but the Desktop has to be refreshed for the other instance to disappear.

I am trying to get my wife's new computer up and running without any BSOD or program failures. Note that the system was not initially set up to capture the dmp files so all the earliest ones are missing. I presented the initial problems to the original seller who recommended sticking with MSE and uninstalling Norton 360 and I did that. Another forum suggested that Virtual Memory was the problem and I disabled and restored VM. Still having multiple crashes and I am hoping that I can get real help here. I do note that all the crashes have ntoskrnl.exe in the driver stack although sometimes alone and sometimes with other drivers.[CODE]

We have three medical clinics and the front desk staff float from clinic to clinic depending on their schedule. I only started here a few months ago and I am working on upgrading their Dell xp systems to Windows 7 systems. The problem begins to crop up when say a user named Sally will come in and sit down at this system for the first time.. Well, she needs to login, click on outlook icon, let it find her exchange PST and copy settings to her user profile, then she launches the application for the scanner that she uses to scan in ID's and insurance cards for every patient coming in.. The scanner is set to default settings and needs to be tweaked on color depth and double sided, etc.. Then after that, she needs to launch her Medical EMR application.. and then choose various options in the citrix client, ..TL;DR - Each user needs to spend 20 minutes resetting the defaults at this updated system.
Well this is fine except, I am planning on updating 2 front desk systems at each clinic, the user Sally will need to do all these things EACH time she finds herself sitting down at a system I just swapped out the previous evening. My thought is this, put a single system down in one clinic and let it sit a week giving most of the float users a chance to work on it for a day, setting all of their preferences etc.Once I get a bunch of them with user profiles on the local drive, grab an image of that drive and just deploy that to each system I roll out..Couple issues I am running into:First would be that I would have to register each Windows 7 copy with a new serial, which I have The next issue is, we have a mis-mash of Dell optiplex systems. 330's - 380's even a couple 320's..

I have attached a second monitor to my laptop which runs Windows 7, however, I need to set different resolutions for different monitors, because the display does not fit to fill the screen on both monitors.
It is also noted that the display is replicated, and I would like to have the effect of having different desktops e.g. being able to use different applications such as debugging code on one monitor on an IDE such as Visual Studio, and, viewing the browser on the other monitor.
Currently it does not seem possible since the behavior seems to be that the same resolution is replicated on both monitors.

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get two monitors, a small 1024x768 LCD, and a 46" 1920x1080 TV, to display the same wallpaper at different resolutions. My graphics card is older, a Nvidia Quadro FX 1700, but it is perfectly capable of driving both displays at the same time. It's a minor annoyance, but I'd like to get it working if it's possible.

Since installing a Second 1TB HDD into my system, I've been encountering brief lag before any action performed. For example, clicking Internet Explorer (Stored on HDD1) will completely Freeze the system for about 4 - 6 seconds, before proceeding. Also, clicking on a song or a video to play in Windows Media Player (Music and video stored on HDD2 and Program stored on SDD1) will also incur a 4 - 6 Second system freeze. Also since installation, my games have been slower and overall perfomance have dropped. I can constantly hear my HDD spinning up, asif it is idle every second I don't use it.
My stystem:
Code:
AMD Quad-core 3.0Ghz
8GB DDR3 RAM
40GB SSD / 2 x 1TB HDD
1GB ASUS EAH5670 DDR5 Graphics Card

Is there an easier way to accomplish this on my laptop? I took an XP image from the first primary partition and copied it to the 2nd partition. When I rebooted to the second partition I thought wow this is just great!. My only problem is when I found out that the working OS saw the booted 2nd partition as the next drive letter and not C drive. Argggg...
How do I get around this? It's easy on my desktop PC because it has two drives and I keep XP on the 1st partition on both drives. But this seems to be a problem on the 1 drive laptop. People recommend on the internet to use EASYBCD but will this really solve this problem? What is the easiest solution? I am open to entering command line arguments. Could manually switching the "active" partition solve this problem using Gparted?
Once I get this solved I would then like to install Windows 7 and also protect the first two versions of XP. I already have my XP apps set on the first partition so I hope to keep that as-is. What is the best way?

I am using Windows 7 RC and will be moving most of our household PCs to Windows 7. I'm wondering if there is a way to create the same user ID on multiple machines so that no matter what machine a user logs onto they will see their same desktop and have access to their files, programs, bookmarks, same user rights/restrictions, etc.
This may be too much to hope for but thought I'd ask. Perhaps a home server is required or maybe use of Windows 7 file sharing could work?

This may just be an idle thought, but I'm wondering if one could setup a RAID configuration across two or more PCs?
