It seems that when i want to paste a file to my usb, it says "the disk is write protected". but when I used the USB to another computer, i can paste files. . . I don't know why such thing happens, is it because I have to adjust a setting or something in my system that will allow me to copy files from my laptop to my usb?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just uprated my Acer TravelMate 4060 laptop with Windows 7 x86 Ultimate. I found all the missing drivers besides Graphic driver. (Graphic chipset is Intel 915GM Express). and wherever I check, I couldn't find anything useful. As I understand there is no driver for Windows 7 out there that would suppose Aero. For now it is working on it's generic driver. So I was thinking that meybey there is a way to tweak it somehow.

Only problem I have now is that I can't find any 64-bit drivers for the fingerprint sensor. When I went to check the first time device manager showed it as an SMSC fingerprint sensor but checking their site didn't assist at all, any working driver? ([URL] didn't work although one site mentioned they're used in acer laptops...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI lost the sound on my acer desktop when I down loaded a manual for my computer. it's an aspire x3400g. I'm not computer literate but the on the computer seemed to get lost when I tried to download the manual. What I would call an invading software called livid. The one thing I'm pretty sure of is that is a small glitch that I'm not seeing. I tried playing music thru my windows music player. The player worked but no sound.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy Acer Aspire 5738G to factory settings. (I've done it before and i never seemed to have a problem). I know it should be simple to do this, by simply pressing "Alt" and "F10" at the Acer Splashpage when you bootup, and going to the acer eRecovery page. But when i do this i get the error message."HDD RECOVERY VALIDATION FAILED" I've tried my hardest, searched all over google for a solution, but every problem seems to be different. And i can't figure out what is particularly wrong with my computer. I am only an amateur when it comes to computers, and disks, partitions, locating partitions, etc etc is not my strong suit. Is there anyway i can check if the hidden partition "PQservice" is still in my drives? If it helps in anyway, i though i might mention that the previous time i restored back to factory settings. When i completed it, i didn't fully complete the windows installation process, and now whenever i log into my computer, it mentions that my "windows is not yet genuine, click here to register it blah blah blah". I didn't bother doing it because i assumed it wasn't vital, i was and have still been able to use my computer fine for the past year or so without having to do it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem locating my Realtek Hd Audio Manager, I have read through many posts such as updating your drivers, uninstalling then re-installing, restarting your computer, make sure to check my BIOS, check in control panel, things like that.
And in conclusion I think I have 2 possible explanations, the first one is that the current driver (updated) doesn't support the realtek hd audio manager? (I read on someone else's post that he had to rollback/downgrade his drivers for his audio manager to appear.
My last solution is... that I don't even have the Realtek Hd Audio manager chip on my motherboard? Possible Nvidia Hd Audio? Because I have 4 Nvidia Hd Audios, and only 1 Realtek.
