- Turning the Decibels (Making mic recording output louder but creates unnecessary feedback)
- Recording externally in a different software like Audacity and trying to turn it up (Annoying feedback because of decibels)
- Checked for driver updates etc.
-Same difference in both stereo/5.1 headsets.
I'm on Win 7 and I can't record my voice through any of my mic's without turning the decibels to 30.
I didn't have this problem on vista - The volume is turned up to the max but only a very tiny amount of volume, as shown by the green bar, comes out (I have the volume of the application, in this case a game, turned up to 100%). Can anyone help me fix this?

The problem is only with flash because everything else sounds fine, only flash content is having this problem.I've searched through any settings I can find but there is no where to edit the audio settings of flash. Does anyone have suggestions of how to fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently desc covered that besides VLC on my laptop all the other video player are not able to work properly (meaning,, Windows Media Player 12, Cyberlink PowerDVD12 and WMPC are able to play only the audio, but not the video, just black screen),, BUT with VLC is no problem playing any video format!! The thing is that I didn't have this problem previously,, all my video players were able to play all the same video files, which they can't now! I have the latest AMD Radeon HD video drivers installed
View 9 Replies View Relatedthere is a better way to change my audio playback device in Windows 7 (Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bit). As background, I keep my headset plugged in at all times and swap to it when needed, but like to use my speakers most of the time.
The only way I've found to swap between headphones and speakers is to right click the volume button on my taskbar, open "Playback devices", select my headset (listed as "Speakers, Realtek High Definition Audio"), then click "Set Default".
Aside from feeling rather tedious, the swap is not recognized in nearly all programs if they're already active. In other words, if I boot up a program with my speakers set to default, swapping to headphones via the above process will not change the audio output device for that program until I quit it completely, set the new default, the restart the program.
I currently have a dual screen setup, the primary a computer monitor and the secondary an HDTV hooked up via HDMI cable. Accordingly I have 2 sound setups; a set of speakers at my desk and the other is the TV's speakers.
The problem is most programs have no option to choose the audio playback device. Everything goes to the default in Windows, so I have to manually change it every time to either the TV or the speakers. I only really use the HDTV to watch videos and want only the sound from that specific program to play on the TV, and everything else on my desk speakers.
I had a workaround to this in Vista. By setting the default audio device to the HDTV Windows would automatically switch the audio output to the speakers when disabling the secondary monitor which could be done easily with UltraMon. Windows 7 audio playback doesn't seem to detect this change so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a solution or workaround.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the latest realtek ac97 drivers and so far my speakers (playback) and mic (recording) works just fine. Unfortunately I cant get the sound to playback through both my speakers and headset at the same time.
It only allows me to set one or the other as my default playback device, is there any way I can have both playback at the same time?
i'm wondering if there is a way to automatically change the audio playback device depending what monitor the application making noise is on. for example when i watch a Internet video on either of my 19 inch desktop lcd monitors i want to sound to play through my pc speakers. if i play something on my lcd tv through hdmi i want the sound to play through the hdmi to the tv. ive done alot of searching and i cant find anything anyone have any suggestions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy comp is having some audio problems. Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. It says i have no audio playback device installed? One or more audio service isn't running? Both the windows audio and the windows audio end point builder services must be running for audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't running? It says I dont have a playback device installed?
No devices displayed when I open playback devices.? How do I get a device or install a driver to fix the problem. In services both windows audio and windows audio endpoint aren't started. When I turn on windows audio i get error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start. When I turn on windows audio endpoint builder I get error 1084: this service cannot be started in safe mode sound doesn't work no audio at all. I don't have a restore point. I can only boot up in safe mode with networking.

I am experiencing audio playback stuttering. I checked if this is due to processing or ram usage, but nothing was wrong there as audio was playing well under high processing load and high memory usage. But recently, i found that when i browse internet or download something, it starts to lag. I am using winamp 5.63. I came to know that a few other people are experiencing this problem too, but i didnt find any solution.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have tried setting volume to max on all devices and using loudness equalization. the audio is still pretty quiet, and Internet videos are even quieter. i could of sworn it was louder at one point but i can't find anything to adjust. a flat db modifier would be great.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have it set in the option under control panel>sound> communications to NOT reduce the volume when using the mic, but it does it anyway. I believe it happened when i installed Realtek audio drivers (which did nothing...) but maybe screw up the fact that my computer was working the way i wanted it to for once...Why did i mess witht he drivers. How am i to update my computer without screwing it up like that? But drivers dont matter, what is controlling my volume, and where to change the option becuae it is not windows doing it.

The Realtek High Definition Audio Speakers suddenly show as "Not plugged in" in the Playback devices dialog.oinciding with this, five new devices, all "Speakers," all showing as "Ready" or one of the defaults, have appeared: WsAudio_DeviceS(1) through WsAudio_DeviceS(5).None of these WsAudio_DeviceS produce any audio when tested; I have tried this with both my speakers and some headphones.The Realtek Digital Output still appears as "Ready," which isn't useful, given that I don't have any S/PDIF devicesI have tried connecting some wireless headphones with a Bluetooth dongle I had lying around, but I couldn't get them to work very well (nor could I back when my speakers were working). I have downloaded and installed DviX codecs, K-Lite Codec pack and updated the latest drivers straight from ATI's website for my graphics card and system.
The problem I am having is when inserting a DVD (store bought, Region 1). I have already right clicked on my DVD Drive (D: )and changed it's Region play back to Region 1 (this was my first hurdle).
Using Windows Media Player that came with Windows 7 (11 or 12?) I attempt to play this DVD, and it says playing, but I cannot access any DVD menus, title screens or whatever. No sound or anything is happening, only a black screen. Seems to recognize it as Play-list 1 (D: ), but I can't get it to play, right click on the drive in Windows Media Player, play is grayed out. Tried using Windows Media Player Classic and DviX player as well, and I cannot get a DVD to play.
In Windows Explorer, it shows TS Video Files and TS Audio Files, as if I was burning it or something. (I don't know if this is how Windows 7 shows all DVD's)
Tried the one HD video that comes with Windows Media Player, some 30 seconds of nature, and it plays fine, so I can play video.
Oh and I popped in a music CD and it plays fine as well.
I get no video either in Media Center or Media Player. I do get the audio however. Right now I'm using VLC for my dvd playback. I like the zoom in Media Center though.
Anyone ever had this problem. I'm using 64-bit windows 7.
not using Windows DVD Maker or nero as of right now im using nero but it always loads when i boot up and there are tons of stuff thats not needed only thing i use it for is to burn data to dvds mainly avi to watch on my tv using my dvd player Windows DVD Maker takes to much of the time on the dvd only 150 min. per a dvd when i use nero im able to burn 3-4 videos to a dvd is there a way to change the time into gbs in Windows DVD Maker are is there a software that would just do the job im looking to do im going to try imgburn and see how the playback is with that
View 6 Replies View Relatedsince I changed from Win XP to Win 7 I encounter freezing during playback of DVD's. I tested several DVD's and the problem occurs with both WMP and PowerDVD 6 as well as PowerDVD 9. The only difference between PowerDVD 6 and WMP is that the former freezes every 5 minutes for approximately 5 seconds whereas WMP freezes every 2 to 3 minutes for 10 minutes. So, the latter is useless at all.
My graphics card driver is up to date. I deactivated hardware acceleration in PowerDVD. I would be grateful for further suggestions as I would like to keep Win 7.
windows updated some keyboard drivers or something before i turned off and removed my graphics card to try sort out the heat sink. Anyway, since then my pc has been unable to detect any of the audio ports attached to the motherboard. I've tried various suggestions on other threads but none have worked hence my first post.I understand for any help ill likely need to give more information and ill happily provide such details.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy only way of watching my blu-rays is on my computer. I've been using PowerDVD 11 Ultra for a while without significant problems. I recently noticed, however, that it was stopping playback during movies, simply pausing and then crashing. I decided to reinstall in the hope of getting smooth playback. After doing so, I had a new problem: all blu-ray video was now very light, forcing all darks to be gray, instead. I should note that I have a Radeon 5770 card and Catalyst's video settings are disabled to allow the player to function without interference (Catalyst 12.6). Despite that, however, PDVD still just gives me gray blacks. I tried downloading TotalMedia Theater and WinDVD trial versions to find a program that works right. To my shock and horror, I have the exact same problem with them, too. What is wrong with the blu-ray playback that has caused programs to play incorrectly? I am convinced that the problem is not related to my computer. One moment, everything was fine. The next moment, everything was bugged. Please note that all other video looks perfect, whether it be DVD, video files, or online videos with my Catalyst settings applied to them.Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? Does Blu-Ray software actually work right on computers? I noticed that the Cyberlink forums have plenty of people talking about this same issue happening with PDVD12. Considering that I had the exact problem with the other two programs, I think this goes beyond software developers.

Watching live sports in Media Center (via HDHR) is a nightmare. The audio is perfect, but the video will be slow motion for a few seconds then really fast to catch up, then slow again, etc.
I have tried the pre-release WDDM 1.1 drivers as well as the most recent Vista drivers from Intel. Both exhibit the same issue. The Vista drivers were slightly better but still difficult to watch.
I did not have this problem in Vista and regular TV shows are fine. Any advice?
I've been having a bit of an issue running HD content. Recently, I've been running many 1080p .mkv video files in Windows Media Player 11 with the help of the K-Lite codec pack. Last night though, one particular video was playing normally up until a certain point, when suddenly the video froze for a couple of seconds, followed by it speeding up to catch up with itself. All the while, the audio track continued as normal. Any reason why this may have happened? It's been stumping me all night. Is there perhaps, another, more superior media player I should be using? (Media Player Classic and VLC both gave me inferior performance, by the way)
