I was watching a movie on my computer and I couldn't hear the voices but the music was loud and the volume was all the way up. Do you know how to make it louder so I can hear the voices?
As of just lately my volume on speakers,[ free standing ] has diminished by about 65%. How do I make them louder as the volume knob is as high as it will go.
when i watch a Internet video, every so often, my computer completely freezes, and a wierd buzzing, repeated loop of the last miliseconds of audio play, and it's really bothering me, because no matter what i do, i can't seem to fix the problem!this problem only occurs on Internet though, and maybe everyother day once or twice when i'm on facebook.is there any suggestion or anything i could possibly do to help fix this problem.? i'm not sure what else there is to do. [code] the freezing only lasts like a 1-5 minutes though.
I bought a Crystal USB headset yesterday, it came with no directions, no disc, no drivers, there's not even a website listed. When I plugged it in Win 7 detected it as USB speakers. Even at 1% volume it is LOUD, I had to wear my earphones on my cheeks! I tried playing with the volume mixer, but even setting other applications at 1 didn't work. Those programs (games, etc) that had additional volume control inside the application were able to turn the volume down enough to use, but any additional sounds (system sounds, etc). Is there an additional USB driver I haven't found for Windows 7? or is there a way to force the OS to recognize the USB as a headset instead of speakers?
I left my computer on overnight, and when I just returned to it I discovered that it had shut down, and when I started it up, I was informed that Windows had just recovered from an unexpected shut down. Though I guess I should mention that the other night, even though I was not doing anything on my computer, a fan was working really hard (loudly), so I just shut it the PC down. I'm thinking it could be overheating, but it is currently quite cold where I am, so it doesn't really make much sense. Here's the details of the error
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
I got it set up and everything, but I was wondering if I could make it so when it's showing on my TV, it automatically switches over to the TV sound. And when I turn it off, if it could automatically go back to the computers speakers.
Okay so here is my dilemma. I have a 23" ASUS lcd, that I as my main screen, and I have an HDMI cable running to my 32" TV for watching WMC recorded TV shows. My problem is that i have to go to control panel and manually switch from my monitor's speakers, which use the 3.5mm on my mobo, to my Samsung TVs speakers, which both display and sound are running off my motherboard's HDMI.
I hate having to change the default sound setting every time I want to watch TV. Is there a way to make Windows Media Center only and always set to my TV's speakers or some other workaround?
I bought a new computer tower last night it came with keyboard and mouse im using my old montor and speakers till i can afford new olds The speakers work but the sound is extremly low and i have it maxed out My old computer was about 5 years old, Do need powered speakers/
I get the following error. "The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in"
I've updated the driver and it says the realtek device is working fine. Sound worked just fine on this computer but then stopped. I do not have external speakers.
As the title says, if I turn my computer off, wait for every hard drive to stop spinning, then turn my subwoofer off at the switch on the back (not stand by mode) it will turn the computer back on again...I thought it was some kind of WOL or something, but i've turned all that off and it still keeps waking it up
Got some speakers for my PC and they make an annoying whistling sound and when my PC makes a noise like a disk whirring it is amplified through the speakers. Also, when I scroll up and down a webpage for example it makes extra noises.
my computer speakers connected to my computer are no longer working.they are turned on to full volumn but there is no sound.checked connection.it is ok but can't get sound.
For some reason I only receive interference through my speakers when my IO shield is installed. I've tried aligning the tabs to contact the motherboard connections, but that generates a lot of noise through the speakers. I tested it outside of the case and installed in the case (without the IO shield) and there was zero noise. Isn't my IO shield supposed to prevent this? So, I have the shield installed, and of course there is still a miniscule, but annoying amount of noise through the speakers. It's definitely the IO shield!Drivers are all current, mic and line in are muted.

Ive been with this problem for a while, my computer freeze and the speakers start making weird noises. I have a log of the error but I dont know how log things work, this one is from the security tab
The audio from my computer completely went dead when I turned it on. The speaker icon shows the symbol with the 'X' on it and after clicking it and going through the troubleshooter it can detect no problem. I tried updating the drivers through the HP website, and uninstall/reinstalled them but it still doesn't work. I even tried rolling back the computer to a restore point but that didn't work either.
The speakers are built into my monitor and is connected through a normal audio jack (not HDMI). I normally use my headphones through a jack built into the front of the tower. My computer is a hp Pavillion Elite m9400f, Windows 7 Ultimate 64X (It also has a ATI HD Radeon 5770 graphics card; but I'm not sure if it's relevant to what might be causing this problem).
When I plug in my head phones my computer does not register them and keeps playing music on the main speakers,I have checked the Sound in the controlpanel but only the main speakers are listed there.I have an Acer Aspire computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit.
I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop and have recently upgraded to windows 7 professional (32bit) from windows vista. Everything seems to be running smoothly except I can get no sound from the internal laptop speakers. When I plug in external speakers in via the jacks on the front, sound comes through fine, but as soon as I unplug them there is nothing. Headphones also work like this too. Under sounds in device manager, it simply says 'High Definition Audio Device', and I'm not sure if I should be downloading some other drivers?
About 2 years ago I have bought SONY VGN-P788K/W, it's a 8" laptop with 2GB memory and 1.6 GHz processor. It's one of those looks cool useless things, it gets choked up very easily it's running windows 7 and about 70 processes in the background.I'd like you guys to help me get rid of the useless stuff, so that the laptop can perform better. I just want to use is for basic stuff like surfing web and talking on skype. [code]
I have a Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme PCI-Ex, and Logitech Z-5500 5.1 THX speakers. All speakers work; all software, drivers and codecs are up-to-date. Recently I noticed that in the Speaker Setup screen, the test button only results in sound from the left and right front speakers.
I checked because after a VLC update, mkv files no longer played correctly in the 5.1 mode. Music played, but the voices were muted (while no speakers are muted, and all are connected). I have to select "2 front, 2 rear" Audio Device in order to hear the speech as well.
I have the same problem when playing movies in PowerDVD, where I have to select the 2-speakers setting in order to hear all the sound.
Note:
- Previously the test button did sound all 5 speakers
- The test button on the Logitech remote still sounds all 5 speakers
only my front left and sub and main speaker work and if i put the cords in a different hole then only one will work and i got all of the in the right colour coded hole i have tride everything WHAT DO I DO!
I am scanning docs to my inbox. I then open, rename and save to a specific folder. My old computer used to remember the path I chose after the 1st time. Now I have to select the directory, then go through several folders & subfolders to get to the correct folder every time . This is very time consuming. Can I set it so that the path is remembered and takes me directly to the folder?
