Use Windows Program That Went With ZT Systems Computer?
Feb 23, 2011I had a ZT Systems I-7 920 computer that was stolen when my house was robbed. It came with a Windows 7 disk that says it can only be used with the ZT Systems computer (that was stolen). I am now building a new computer and I am wondering if I can use the Windows 7 disk from the ZT systems computer in my new computer. I paid for Windows 7 when I bought the ZT systems computer and I do not feel that I should have to buy it again.

Jan 15, 2012For some reason I only receive interference through my speakers when my IO shield is installed. I've tried aligning the tabs to contact the motherboard connections, but that generates a lot of noise through the speakers. I tested it outside of the case and installed in the case (without the IO shield) and there was zero noise. Isn't my IO shield supposed to prevent this? So, I have the shield installed, and of course there is still a miniscule, but annoying amount of noise through the speakers. It's definitely the IO shield!Drivers are all current, mic and line in are muted.

No Sound From Speakers Or Headphones - Computer Showing These As Unplugged
Jan 16, 2012The audio from my computer completely went dead when I turned it on. The speaker icon shows the symbol with the 'X' on it and after clicking it and going through the troubleshooter it can detect no problem. I tried updating the drivers through the HP website, and uninstall/reinstalled them but it still doesn't work. I even tried rolling back the computer to a restore point but that didn't work either.
The speakers are built into my monitor and is connected through a normal audio jack (not HDMI). I normally use my headphones through a jack built into the front of the tower.My computer is a hp Pavillion Elite m9400f, Windows 7 Ultimate 64X (It also has a ATI HD Radeon 5770 graphics card; but I'm not sure if it's relevant to what might be causing this problem).

Apr 22, 2012when i watch a Internet video, every so often, my computer completely freezes,and a wierd buzzing, repeated loop of the last miliseconds of audio play,and it's really bothering me, because no matter what i do, i can't seem to fix the problem!this problem only occurs on Internet though, and maybe everyother day once or twice when i'm on facebook.is there any suggestion or anything i could possibly do to help fix this problem.? i'm not sure what else there is to do. Dec 12, 2009I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop and have recently upgraded to windows 7 professional (32bit) from windows vista. Everything seems to be running smoothly except I can get no sound from the internal laptop speakers. When I plug in external speakers in via the jacks on the front, sound comes through fine, but as soon as I unplug them there is nothing. Headphones also work like this too. Under sounds in device manager, it simply says 'High Definition Audio Device', and I'm not sure if I should be downloading some other drivers?

Jun 25, 2012I've had the seemingly common issue with the last user and the 'other user' showing on the login screen, and once I finally dealt with it (well sort of, but that's another post for another time), I was back onto the standard user account I was missing, and was happy to be back with my old files. When I was dealing with that whole login issue I had been using a new account I set up that would work for the time being. Once I got this account back, I deleted that old account but chose "save files" (or some phrase along those lines) and assumed they'd be under the account 'Administrator'. But I looked on my files logged into Admin and in that folder, nothing is there.So then, I typed in C:Users in the start bar and found a list of ten or so accounts I managed to angrily make and use and not use in the last few months. All of them, one or two more than the others, have files I need. My question is this: Is there anyway to "combine" all the files from these accounts, since they seem to still exist although the accounts don't since I click on them from the list and up come the files, and have them on this account I'm logged into that I've gained back?

For instance, if I click on something on my computer desktop and choose send to "documents," and then click on the documents folder in the tray on the bottom of the screen, I find my saved item there. However, within this documents folder there is a folder called "My Documents" and within this folder there is another folder entitled "Documents." I've found the 'TASKBAR BUTTONS' option under 'TASKBAR APPEARANCE' in PROPERTIES to change this, but it appears to be unavailable.

1) Can anyone suggest why this option may be grayed out for me?

Sep 4, 2012This may sound like a strange question, but basically what I want to do is make a DVD that's an "essential Windows reinstall kit".
I do freelance computer repair and most of the computers I have worked on have had some nasty viruses that screw up Windows to the point where it's easier to just reinstall it. Problem is, simply deleting the partition isn't enough most of the time since viruses can infect the MBR and boot sector.
My essential tools are DBAN to wipe the hard drive, GParted to make a partition that fills the drive (to avoid that stupid System Reserved nonsense) and then the Windows installation disc.
DBAN is only about 2MB and GParted is like 120, both of those should fit on a single layer DVD along with the Windows install files.
I am familiar with tools like XBoot and other Linux multiboots that use syslinux or GRUB, but the problem is that Windows 7 is a tricky bugger and will crash if you try to load it using one of those.
Anybody know if there's a way to take a Windows 7 ISO and successfully launch it from a multiboot so I can combine it with DBAN and GParted?
