View 1 RepliesI'm having a problem with my headset. Whenever i play a game or listen to music, after about 5-10 minutes the sound turns into gargled crap. Like a choppy, sputtering static noise. I'm using 'Digital Precision Headset' by Logitech. It has worked fine for me on XP, so i don't see what the problem could be. The driver sofware comes with windows, so logitech doesnt offer driver support for it. I did however un-plug/plug-in to see if windows(7) would reinstall the drivers. It did, but i still cant get them to work right. Which sucks for online gamming, because i dont have another mic to use.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Steelseries Siberia V2 headset (non usb model), and the headphones work fine, but the mic doesn't seem to respond to any applications at all.I have updated my audio drivers and tried different audio jacks on my PC but nothing will solve this problem.I have gone into recording devices in Windows and ticked "listen to this device" and I can hear myself speaking through the headset, but when I try and use it on Skype or Steam chat it is non responsive. The volume bar next to the microphone in recording devices doesn't go up when I speak even though I can hear myself speaking.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought the Turtle Beach Z2 gaming headset and I've gone through numerous different processes of trying to get the microphone to actually work and can't seem to get it. The sound out of the headphones work fine but my computer isn't recognizing the sounds from the headset. I have IDT audio on my inspiron 15r if that helps at all. Lastly, the computer has a built in audio input which it recognizes fine.

I have a webcam which has an inbuilt microphone but I use the microphone on the headset for Skype because the webcam mike is not sensitive enough.
configure my system so that my microphone can be used for website based language tuition?
I recently buy a headset with microphone with the Pink/Green jacks The earset part of them works fine, but the mic part doesn't at all.The system doesn't even pick up that a mic is plugged in. I have tried both the front and back jacks of my PC with the same issues. Under the Recording Tab in Sound it reads, NO audio devices are instaled, and I have the Show disabled devices checked. My biggest issue is I use gtalk and can't talk on it with this issue.
I followed this step>>>>
1. Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices".
2. Right click on the blank place in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
3. Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
4. Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
5. Click Apply.
6. Select Microphone and click on Properties.
7. Click on Levels tab. The default Microphone Boost is set to 0,increase it.but after Right click on the blank place in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".I do not find any Microphone.
When I use my headset/mic for a teleconference, I can hear what others are saying in the call, but they cannot hear me. (I'm using Win 7/64-bit.)
When I use the same headset/mic on a computer running Win XP (sp3), everything works.
FYI, I purchased a second identical headset/mic, but I've gotten the same results with Win 7.
yesterday I have bought myself a new headset which is well known for its fairly low price combined with a good quality device. I'm talking about the Creative Fatal1ty headset. The reason I bought this headset was because my laptop's built-in mic is from a very crappy quality (the quality of the recorded audio is very poor). So now I have this headset there is one big problem, whenever I record sound or speak through Skype with my family/friends the headset is plugged in (and yes, I have plugged it in the correct headphone jack and microphone jack) into my laptop. But the sound that is being recorded is still being recorded by the built-in microphone and not by the microphone that is attached to my headset. How do I disable the built-in mic?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Logitech MX5500 blue-tooth keyboard and mouse combo. It's great and I love it. I recently moved to Windows 7 and that's when things started going down hill.
I get lag when I move my cursor, my keystrokes do not comes through correctly, and when I press a shortcut key it seems to open that application a whole bunch of times.
I believe that it may be a driver issue with Windows 7, maybe the set-point software does not work correctly with Windows 7. (Considering the fact that Logitech did release a Windows 7 version and that I am currently using it).
What are your views on what the problem can be? Is my keyboard stuffed? Or is Windows Stuffed?
I'm looking for a driver for built-in Logitech webcam Acer Aspire 5680. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. I've tried this: Acer Support - Drivers & Download
Acer doesn't seem to have drivers for Windows 7. The XP/Vista drivers do not work. Windows 7 cannot find the webcam. Any ideas, folks?
so i connected my offical PS3 headset via USB, windows 7 detected it but it requires a driver, im not sure where to get it or how to trick windows to use it.
any ideas? ive done a bit of searching and ive seen that even people using a bluetooth doogle are having driver issues sometimes.
I have a Dell Vostro 1500, running 32-bit Windows 7. It came with Vista, but I upgraded to Windows 7 a couple months ago, which I think is causing the issues I'm experiencing. According to whoever I'm speaking with, the sound for the microphone built in to my webcam fades in and out and gets really loud randomly. In an attempt to solve this, I bought an external microphone which also does not work. The sound driver is the SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC, version 6.10.0.5614. When I tried to update it through Windows 7's update driver software it says I have the best version for my system, but I still suspect that this could be what is causing the problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 x64 and it cannot find a driver for my Plantronics 520 bluetooth headset. I found the forums and this related thread through Google. That thread links to an ASUS driver. I am downloading it because as far as I know bluetooth audio is an open standard. However that makes it a little bizarre for Windows not to be able to install the driver automatically.
I'll come back to tell you if I have any luck with the driver mentioned in that other thread. Plantronics don't provide any drivers on their website.
i need driver of bluetooth headset BH-218 for my laptop
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo just installed Windows 7 RTM (v 7600) on a Lenovo X200s. I have a Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset that I use for VOIP. I followed the connecting instructions (just as I've successfully done with other Lenovos) and gone through 1 failed attempt (which happened on the RC version 7100 too).
I download this driver install kit and when I attempt to install it I get an error immediately. (this worked fine for me on my old X61s)
"The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."
The problem with this is that Plantronics relies on the built in BT driver to work. I had a challenge on my older X61s (discovered it wasn't installing due to internal firewall issues) but knowing that, I took the X200s home and tried the install at home, off of corp net.
I've been able to connect successfully to other Bluetooth devices (like my mobile phone) but the BT headset won't take any drivers. Broadcom's "support" is anything but supportive.
I've uninstalled (through device manager) the BT Peripheral Device & scanned for hardware changes. Still get the same failure.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I know Creative have released a beta driver for this headset: HSHP_W7DRVBETA_US_1_01_0003.exe
Link: Creative Worldwide Support
However, I'm just wondering if its worth it?
Windows 7 picked up the headset fine and everything has been working "straight out of the box".
I only had to change the name of the device in audio properties to distinguish between speakers and headset. Mic has worked perfectly and sounds fine with no adjustments. (Tested on ventrillo)
The only thing drivers/package seems to offer is changing EQ settings or various "technologies" available which im not interested in.
or is there something else i'm missing which I would need the drivers for?
Trying for find the driver for this headset, fonexionusa does not have it and Win 7 driver update cannot locate one either.
