Maybe you guys might have some ideas in helping me solve this issue with a driver for a Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro.
Previously I got the webcam working by using this work around: Software Simple Blog Archive Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro Webcam In Windows Vista and it worked fine no problems. That was when I had Windows 7 32bit installed.
Now that I am running the 64bit version things are proving a little tricky. I tried the same technique as I previously did for the 32bit but no luck.
Additionally I tried some of the methods listed in the other QuickCam Pro for Notebooks 9000 thread but no luck with that either. Of course the webcams are different, I was just hoping that the same principle might apply..
Has anyone gotten the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 to work with Windows 7? I've tried with Vista compatibility and also with XP and it just doesn't want to work. Any help out there?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the Windows 7 Release Candidate and I enjoy it. However, I cannot seem to find Logitech QuickCam 4000 drivers that are compatible. Can anyone help me?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to start by saying that I love Windows 7. The only driver issue I have is with this Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 which I just purchased. I am on a 32-bit system and based on some of the things I've heard on here, they have had no trouble. Here are the issues that I've been having.
1) I try to install the Quickcam software and it does so successfully (also in compatibility mode), but once I try to use the software, it freezes up.
2) The camera always works but because I cannot use the software, I have not been able to record a video. I bought the camera so I could use Google Talk with my family and that's all I really care about.
3) The microphone does not work at all. Tested it in Sound Recorder.
Where I am now: I got Windows 7 to install the drivers but not to install the software. So in Device Manager it shows that everything is working properly. The main thing I want to work is the microphone so I have functionality with Google Talk.
I'm on Windows7 64-bit... I've tried everything. Obviously there's no windows 7 drivers for this, so I tried to get the vista ones from the official website. The installer wouldn't even run, until I ran it through vista compatibility. They installed, but it didn't even react to when I plugged the camera in or not. So I tried finding other 64-bit drivers I could find on the net for the quickcam. They would install, and I would manually assign the drivers that match the camera, but then applications say that the 'webcam is in use' even though nothing was using it, obviously... so apparently, it does not work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Logitech MX5500 blue-tooth keyboard and mouse combo. It's great and I love it. I recently moved to Windows 7 and that's when things started going down hill.
I get lag when I move my cursor, my keystrokes do not comes through correctly, and when I press a shortcut key it seems to open that application a whole bunch of times.
I believe that it may be a driver issue with Windows 7, maybe the set-point software does not work correctly with Windows 7. (Considering the fact that Logitech did release a Windows 7 version and that I am currently using it).
What are your views on what the problem can be? Is my keyboard stuffed? Or is Windows Stuffed?

View 2 Replies View Relatedit has been a while since the last time something went wrong with my laptop, but it's back on and I need your help on this one. If you're not familiar with Xfire real-time messenger, you can check it out here: Xfire - Gaming Simplified, It's really a simple and easy communication tool to use, especially favorite in gaming communities. I recently dealt with an issue concerning BS Player and it forced me to install and uninstall a lot of codecs, sometime in the process, it messed up something with my Xfire settings. There was also this huge crash there once, it crippled and disabled all my display settings, e.g. folders and thei appearance, such as thumbnails, sorted either by type or name or even some programs associated with certain file types, such as .zip - GONE! - no idea, where this came from, but I believe it crashed and damaged some registry values and resetted some settings to the default. This problem is very similar to the outline x show content while dragging issue. It's however only happening, when resizing either the whole messenger (only a very thin outline, so it can be tolerated. and resizing chat-window, there appears exactly the same thick outline, as it though, it would be dragged, but it shouldn't show that! Because outline was disabled, when dragging the whole window, it's all right, no outline, but when you want to make it smaller or bigger, it shows and it looks awful. Maybe some registry went wrong or I don't know.

No problems, then one evening while in an open live video chat forum it crashed, never had a problem with this before. Have gotten the BSOD since then. Currently only works in safe mode. Ran repair, ran restore previous, nothing works. When he loaded Windows 7, he got updates but I don't think he checked for updates with the drivers. Also, he was in the slow process of pulling off alot of family pics as they are taking up too much space.
