Live Family Safety Filter - Error 80070422

Okay, I was playing with the settings of the Live Family Safety Filters and I cant seem to get rid of this pop up message when i start my computer. See attachment. I click ok and it goes away PLUS I have no problems surfing the iternet. There is some inconsistency cause I shouldnt be able to suf the internet as the error messg states.
There should be a much simpler way to turn this off.
By the way i am the administrator and sole user of this computer.

In addition to using my usual anti-virus and anti-spyware/adware protection, I use an excellent program, Windows Live Safety Scanner. I've used it for a year now and it brings things to attention that no virus protection offers. It shows all invalid registry entries, open ports, ActiveX issues and scans your system for viruses and malware. It's a Microsoft product and they have a Vista/Windows 7 version as well as an XP and below one. Once installed, it does it's own thing: scans your system. You may use your computer while this scan is taking place, but I usually use another one.
It is a program that is listed in add/remove programs (at least in XP anyway). And if you have CCleaner, when you go to Uninstall, the program is listed. I have uninstalled it in the past, and in the Windows box, it asked "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product? You'll need to download it again....."
My question is how do I create a shortcut for this program? The only way I've found to use it is to redownload it every time. Therefore, I uninstall it every time prior to downloading it. Does anyone know how to create a shortcut for this?

i have a hp dv6 and the hard drive crashed. so i took a friends old dv4 hard drive and installed it. everything has merged over correctly except for the usb ports. when they installed the drivers automatically they all failed. so since then i have tried reinstalling wich leads to error code 37 in the device manager. also i have searched vigorously all over the internet for a correct driver but have found none. then i tried to update the chipset driver which installed correctly. then I did every update on microsoft.com and intel.com to no evail. when i plug in my external hard drive it draws power from the usb ports but is not recognized. under the device manager it shows how the usb controllers have not installed properly and they continue to not work.

tracking down and getting rid of things that cause error to appear in event log. one of the few left is the rx filter failed to load issue. seems to be due to roxio program somehow and perhaps related to 32/64 bit issues. suggestions or ignore?

I have 3 computers, 2 desktops and 1 laptop. Laptop is my personal PC, desktops are from other fammily memebres. Maybe I will add one more PC.I would like to control desktops, deploy software and Win7 updates, controluser rights etc..How can I do that and what do I need? Windows server edition on one of the computers?

I just got my Windows 7 upgrade kit in the mail today. When I got to the Compatibility Report, it told me this:
"These devices might not work properly after the upgrade. Before upgrading, we recommend updating the drivers for these devices. I'm afraid to continue the upgrade because I don't know what's going to happen or how it's going to affect the programs and devices. Should I just go ahead and uninstall everything listed in the second message? And how do I update the driver for the Keyboard Filter? I don't really know what I'm doing.

I've been trying to find out everywhere to see if my graphics card is capable of Windows 7. I'm having a real hard time. My card is Intel 945 Mobile Family.
My brother installed Windows 7 and his card was outdated so now everything is "blurry" and not nice looking. He couldn't downgrade so he bought a Mac. So yeah, I'd try it out on my computer if I could fork out 1k to get a new computer, but I simply can't.
The windows update advisor says that my graphics adapter isn't "supported" with Windows Aero. The requirements state that it needs 128MB, which I believe I have 256.
It's getting annoying that the Windows Advisor says that it's not supported, yet Best Buy is selling my same exact computer with Windows 7 with the same graphics card. I'm conflicted; I don't want to mess up my computer, yet I want Windows 7.

I had a little trouble getting the driver files out of the Vista x64 installer (M-Audio don't make it easy!) so thought I'd post them up here for anyone to use.
I am running Windows 7 x64 and my Audiophile 2496 works perfectly with this driver, which is the new Vista x64 SP1 driver just out of beta (01/27/20095.10.00.5069v3).

I have installed the Windows 7 OEM version on one of my other computers so I have access to the OEM software, even if I do not have an available license. That said, my father has a spare CD-Key from his x64 Family Pack (3 Keys for simultaneous operation). I am wondering if I can install Windows with the OEM software and then activate it with the Family Pack CD key or will I have to wait a week for it [Family Pack disk] to arrive in the post?

Win 7 lacks a search filter in the search bar of windows explorer.The only way to search with filters is to find the keywords such as "kind: videos" etc. XP had a much better search than Win7

I'm having a problem sending email with Windows Live Mail. Here is the error I am receiving:

I am planning to eventually upgrade all of my computers (a Dell Inspiron 1525, and Compaq desktop) to Windows 7, but would like the cheapest way possible to do it.I love the family pack, but unfortunately it doesn't look like its available anymore.Is it still available? I have a Gateway AMD laptop running Win 7 Home Premium and it will not recognize a couple of my USB devices. After doing some research, I read that it can be caused by AMD's USB (Audio) Filter Driver and that I need to disable or uninstall the driver.
The driver does not appear anywhere in the Device Manager; but, I did find it in the C:/Program Files (x86)/AMD folder.
The problem I'm facing is that I cannot uninstall it. If I go to Control Panel and pull up the Programs, it does not appear there.
Can someone please tell me how I can uninstall this driver?

When I'm browsing local/network drives in Windows 7, the Search box (upper right in any Explorer window) only offers two filters "Date Modified" and "Size".
The "Add a Search Filter" is grayed out.
Here's some info on search filters that are available to be added-- but I haven''t figured out how to add them yet:
Date Created: Searches according to when the file was created. You can select the date (or a range of dates) from a mini-calendar that appears.
Kind: Search for files of a specific type as selected from the drop-down list that appears when you click the Kind option.
Type: Searches based on certain file types by extension, such as .pdf, .jpg, or .docx.
Name: Searches by filename. You can enter all or part of the filename in the search text box after the Name filter.
Tags: This filter lets you search for a file by the tags assigned to it. Enter one or more tags after the Tags filter in the Search text box.
Authors: Search for file by a particular author. Enter an author name after the Authors filter in the Search text box or select the name from the drop-down list that appears. (This filter is called Artists when searching audio files.)

I just got a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit and I cannot get a new filter to work with PSPx2 ultimate..Microsoft says it is compatible and I have installed all the dll files to both my SYSWos64 and System folders but it will still not show up in PSP. I installed it( Eye Candy 6 ) to a folder in the Corel program called plugins.

I am with BT Yahoo, and have two computers one desk top and one Lap Top used in travels, when going to my emails it starts to download the emails and then stops with an error Bt Server timed out,in order ro try again I have to come out of Live Mail and back in with luck it continues to load my emails, why is this? and should one download Windows Live again or is it BT at fault ?

With wlm I can't log in to yahoo mail account:
No trouble with logging in to LIVE.com account.
But yahoo gives me error:
