I had a little trouble getting the driver files out of the Vista x64 installer (M-Audio don't make it easy!) so thought I'd post them up here for anyone to use.
I am running Windows 7 x64 and my Audiophile 2496 works perfectly with this driver, which is the new Vista x64 SP1 driver just out of beta (01/27/20095.10.00.5069v3).
i have a hp dv6 and the hard drive crashed. so i took a friends old dv4 hard drive and installed it. everything has merged over correctly except for the usb ports. when they installed the drivers automatically they all failed. so since then i have tried reinstalling wich leads to error code 37 in the device manager. also i have searched vigorously all over the internet for a correct driver but have found none. then i tried to update the chipset driver which installed correctly. then I did every update on microsoft.com and intel.com to no evail. when i plug in my external hard drive it draws power from the usb ports but is not recognized. under the device manager it shows how the usb controllers have not installed properly and they continue to not work.
how i can reinstall my main audio drivers so they stay installed and so i don't have to uninstall and reinstall them at every startup. it still says it's in use if i try to test it before reinstalling. to reinstall it i've been going to playback devices, right click properties, click properties on the new window, change settings on the next, last window click the driver tab and uninstall. then i go to device manager and scan for changes. it's really a pita DISREGARD THIS: ok so i've been trying to port audio from firefox to reaper + asio4all and found that i can do it with VAC. i first tried another program called virtual audio streaming but that didn't work. when i got VAC i uninstalled VAS first. since i've had VAC installed i can't listen to anything over my monitor's speakers (have computer hooked to monitor with hdmi). if i have "Digital Audio (hdmi)" set as the default audio device, the audio won't even start. for example if a start a movie in vlc and then realize there's no sound i can't just switch the default device to something else (usually can do this) i have to stop the video select a different device and start the video again. flash stuff online just won't play until i change the device. if i try to go to the properties of "Digital Audio (hdmi)" > advanced > and hit test it tells me the device is being used by another program. this was making me think that maybe it was because VAC was using that device to port the audio from windows or something. didn't really make complete sense but i uninstalled VAC, restarted my pc and it still does the same thing. i tried uninstalling the drivers (windows default drivers, the downloadable drivers IDT high def audio cause problems with other programs so i don't use them and would prefer not to) and restarting so they would reinstall but that did nothing.
I have 3 computers, 2 desktops and 1 laptop. Laptop is my personal PC, desktops are from other fammily memebres. Maybe I will add one more PC.I would like to control desktops, deploy software and Win7 updates, controluser rights etc..How can I do that and what do I need? Windows server edition on one of the computers?
I've been trying to find out everywhere to see if my graphics card is capable of Windows 7. I'm having a real hard time. My card is Intel 945 Mobile Family.
My brother installed Windows 7 and his card was outdated so now everything is "blurry" and not nice looking. He couldn't downgrade so he bought a Mac. So yeah, I'd try it out on my computer if I could fork out 1k to get a new computer, but I simply can't.
The windows update advisor says that my graphics adapter isn't "supported" with Windows Aero. The requirements state that it needs 128MB, which I believe I have 256.
It's getting annoying that the Windows Advisor says that it's not supported, yet Best Buy is selling my same exact computer with Windows 7 with the same graphics card. I'm conflicted; I don't want to mess up my computer, yet I want Windows 7.
I have installed the Windows 7 OEM version on one of my other computers so I have access to the OEM software, even if I do not have an available license. That said, my father has a spare CD-Key from his x64 Family Pack (3 Keys for simultaneous operation). I am wondering if I can install Windows with the OEM software and then activate it with the Family Pack CD key or will I have to wait a week for it [Family Pack disk] to arrive in the post?
I am planning to eventually upgrade all of my computers (a Dell Inspiron 1525, and Compaq desktop) to Windows 7, but would like the cheapest way possible to do it.I love the family pack, but unfortunately it doesn't look like its available anymore. Is it still available? Or do I have to spend more money to upgrade?
I have a new Windows 7 Family Edition and have not been able to get it to recognize my printer. Printer is Lexmark Pro 205. I've installed and re-installed the printer several times, disconnected the USB and re-connected and the computer still won't recognize that my printer is connected. Therefore can't get it to print.
I am working on a family members computer and she is the only account on the computer and she is the administrator. I am trying to install "Family Tree Maker" for her and keep getting the following message at startup "You are not currently logged into your computer as an administrator. This program requires that login as administrator. Please log out and log back in as an administrator and then restart the program." As I have said she is the only account on the computer and she is the administrator.
New laptop with Win 7 will not accept the program. Message: 'The InstallShield (iKernal.exe) could not be installed.' This program (from BBC Who do yopu think you are) is 2007 and installs on Win XP perfectly.
ive been revieving some stutter noticibly when playing and form of video or audio and it has been getting worse as of late. Overall performance has dropped as well.Ive tried using Latency Checker and Latencymon and Realtek Ethernet Diagnostics Utility to try and diagnose the problem and the closest thing ive come to is that it has something to do with 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller' as when I disable it the stutter appears to vanish and latency readings drop however I need that to connect to the internet so keeping it removed is not really an option.I have tried using a variety of drivers and methods from this forum and others and none have come to be of any use as of yet. My old XP computer expired and I bought a new one pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. The supplier rescued everything off the old XP hard drive and installed it on the new machine.
The problem: Each time I require to use any device ( printer, digital camera, TomTom navigation ) that connects to the computer by USB, it fails to function and a yellow exclamation appears next to the PC device under “Devices and Printers” and I am invited to troubleshoot. A message then shows,” There is a problem with the driver for Intel(R)82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller – 27C8. Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem”
When I select the autofix, the problem is shown as sorted but then another three similarly-described problems appear but showing different driver numbers = 27C9, 27CA and 27CB.
Once all four drivers have been fixed using the Auto fix button, the printer, camera or TomTom device works fine, UNTIL NEXT TIME.
I have this problem on a Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family. I have windows 7 ultimate on Pentium 4, 1gb of ram. display resolution 1024x768. The problem is that i use windows live messenger and since a time i can't use it anymore. I mean in video call. I used to use it normally but now i can't =. When i start a call it says "Your video card driver does not support the video call feature. Please try a voice call instead." I update java, reinstalled msn, reinstalled the video driver?
This is my first time building a computer and after i put all the parts together it worked fine my the only problem im facing right now is im not sure if my network card support wireless connection(Please read the attachment) if it can please teach me how to fix this problem. Okay, I was playing with the settings of the Live Family Safety Filters and I cant seem to get rid of this pop up message when i start my computer. See attachment. I click ok and it goes away PLUS I have no problems surfing the iternet. There is some inconsistency cause I shouldnt be able to suf the internet as the error messg states.
There should be a much simpler way to turn this off.
By the way i am the administrator and sole user of this computer.
As stated, just want a worthwhile, but cheap upgrade. Nothing too fancy that will run 1080, just casual low spec gaming like the sims 2, C&C etc, and something that will smoth out the edges, and make it a little more visually appealing.I have a dual core E6500, 2gb ram (ddr2), and currently windows 7 32-bit ultimate.
I recently downloaded and installed Windows 7. My motherboard is an MSI K9N6PGM2-V with realtek onboard audio. I have tried the XP and Vista drivers and still can not get the sound to work. The device manager shows the driver installed. The volume is turned up. I may try to upgrade the os from a working XP copy to Windows 7. Anybody have any other ideas or solutions?
When I install Windows 7 64 bit, they have a MS driver for my HD audio, I am wondering if I should install the Realtek drivers provided by Gigabyte? tia BTW, sound seems to work fine with MS driver.
I am having windows 7 32bit operating system.I have used Realtek 5.1, but now i dont have that.I have searched for this programme in internet and downloaded some of the Realtek audio drivers. But any of those does'nt work. Now i want to know where to download this ?
