I am having windows 7 32bit operating system.I have used Realtek 5.1, but now i dont have that.I have searched for this programme in internet and downloaded some of the Realtek audio drivers. But any of those does'nt work. Now i want to know where to download this ?
how i can reinstall my main audio drivers so they stay installed and so i don't have to uninstall and reinstall them at every startup. it still says it's in use if i try to test it before reinstalling. to reinstall it i've been going to playback devices, right click properties, click properties on the new window, change settings on the next, last window click the driver tab and uninstall. then i go to device manager and scan for changes. it's really a pita DISREGARD THIS: ok so i've been trying to port audio from firefox to reaper + asio4all and found that i can do it with VAC. i first tried another program called virtual audio streaming but that didn't work. when i got VAC i uninstalled VAS first. since i've had VAC installed i can't listen to anything over my monitor's speakers (have computer hooked to monitor with hdmi). if i have "Digital Audio (hdmi)" set as the default audio device, the audio won't even start. for example if a start a movie in vlc and then realize there's no sound i can't just switch the default device to something else (usually can do this) i have to stop the video select a different device and start the video again. flash stuff online just won't play until i change the device. if i try to go to the properties of "Digital Audio (hdmi)" > advanced > and hit test it tells me the device is being used by another program. this was making me think that maybe it was because VAC was using that device to port the audio from windows or something. didn't really make complete sense but i uninstalled VAC, restarted my pc and it still does the same thing. i tried uninstalling the drivers (windows default drivers, the downloadable drivers IDT high def audio cause problems with other programs so i don't use them and would prefer not to) and restarting so they would reinstall but that did nothing.
I recently downloaded and installed Windows 7. My motherboard is an MSI K9N6PGM2-V with realtek onboard audio. I have tried the XP and Vista drivers and still can not get the sound to work. The device manager shows the driver installed. The volume is turned up. I may try to upgrade the os from a working XP copy to Windows 7. Anybody have any other ideas or solutions?
When I install Windows 7 64 bit, they have a MS driver for my HD audio, I am wondering if I should install the Realtek drivers provided by Gigabyte? tia BTW, sound seems to work fine with MS driver.
i download realtek 6.0.1 something from its website, my menu for REALTEK is not the same as it used to be on Vista, like changing sound room, and whole Lotta other stuff can anyone please help where to get those?
My Windows XP installation has a Soundmax audio driver. Having now the ability to dual boot my computer to Windows 7 I have since learned that there is little likelihood of Soundmax producing a driver compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 Device Manager indicates under Sound Controller. what it refers to as a High Definition Audio Device and that the drivers installed are working properly but still no sound. Attempts to update these drivers report that the drivers in question are up to date. There is no indication by yellow exclamation marks that anything isn't as it should be in Device Manager.
Any suggestions for restoring sound would be appreciated
I recently installed windows 7 on my computer and everything worked well accept my sound didn't work.
I put in my Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio driver CD and tried to install them but I ended up with a BLUE SCREEN! about 70% into the installation
I reaserched that many people have almost the same problem with SB X-Fi xtreme audio drivers and windows 7. Can any one give me any suggestions of what could be the problem.
I have a gateway GT5656 desktop which came with Vista OS. I recently upgraded to win7 ultimate. I then discovered that my drivers were missing for audio, etc. I went to gateway.com and downloaded then installed the audio drivers. This seemed fine but when I went to use the front mic jack I received a message saying that I needed to visit this site and get vista drivers...Is this correct? Shouldn't I get win 7 drivers?
I've looked at the asus website and they don't have an audio driver out yet for windows 7. I have tried using the windows xp and vista one just to see if those would work. Neither did.
The problem I am having though, is that I can only use my Left and Right front speakers, I can't use my C-Sub or rear speakers at all. When I run the windows 7 sound wizard or whatever I can click to test the speakers and I hear the sound coming from them so I know that they are working but nothing else will play on those speakers.
Currently I have uninstalled all of the asus audio drivers so I'm just running whatever came with windows 7 ultimate.
I have a Compaq Presario 2135US laptop. HP does not have an audio driver for Windows 7.How or where do I get the proper driver?I went from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate.
i tried to install win7 and getting audio driver problem. it is asking for high definition audio bus driver and placed at other devices. but i am not able find the driver for the same.
Did you try the realtek website, see below? Looks like you'll have to accept their terms, but there are several HD drivers for 32 and 64-bit windows OSes.

I have a Logitech C510 Webcam, and every time i record a video it sounds like up and down soundwaves (like I am in a ocean) I tried to check settings but not sure what the issue could be.
