Aug 27, 2012I have a Windows 7 64bit home premium pc and a paid for lifetime subscription to roboforms 6. W7 has 2 versions of Internet Explorer 9 on it, the 32bit and the 64bit version. Roboforms works perfectly with IE9 32bit but does not work at all with the 64bit version. IE9 32bit will not open links that are in emails but the 64bit version does. way of making the 32bit version open links so that I can continue using roboforms? I have used Microsoft Fix it and set the program as my default but had no success.

Dec 16, 2011so i am running the windows 7 home permium 64bit and i am having quite the problem. none of my programs will open. it seems like the olny thing that will open is internent explorer, paint, actual folders, those kinds of things. nothing else will open such as itunes, malwarebytes to scan for anything, not even flashplayer will open to watch Internet. i've tried starting it in safe mode and still nothing will open. ive run a diagnostic test to see if it was the hardware and everthing checked out okay. i have even tried sfc /scannow command - system file checker and that came back negative. so i am out of ideas.

All of my desktop icons are, "The white sheet with blue "E" on it". when i open it, it goes in internet explorer 9 thingy where u download stuff. it asks me if i wanna open/save the program in a .INK file. Aug 3, 2012Everytime I try to open Internet Explorer, a window comes up then closes as soon as it shows. Like a blink. I've tried reseting the IE settings on the control panel and it still doesn't work. I've also tried system restore and it still didn't work.
There are also some other programs that won't open, like McAfee Internet Security, it opens but it's just comes up as a plain white window.This started happening a couple of days ago, I did a windows update and the problem went away. But then after turning the laptop off and on again, it stopped working again (Can't open internet explorer) and this time, after the update I couldn't connect to the internet.
I don't know how and why this started happening as I'm not the one who uses the laptop, but maybe it's the windows update that did this or I'm thinking maybe McAfee? But I'm not really sure.

I have scanned the laptop using ESET's online scanner, which found nothing. I also scanned with MSE with the same results. No infections of any form are found.

Oct 11, 2011W7 Home Premium+SP1; AVG 2012; Adaware 9.0.7; SpyBot 1.6.2. Firefox 7.0.1; (I.E. 9 - not often used). Broadband connection ethernet - Yacom.I installed the Firefox on 30.9.2011 I installed the latest AVG 2012 on 10.10. 2011 I am not sure if it is because of or coincidently, but my internet browsing has been seriously affected. This has been happening for a few (? 3,4 )days, but has worsened since the installation of the new AVG.Where I would previously have put a subject into the browser, and the page appeared with a choice of links, a click on one of them would have immediately taken me to that link.Now, I have to wait for sometimes 25 to 30 seconds to get to the link and even not be allowed to go to the link - it won't open.I have deleted and re-installed my Firefox and my AVG, but this still happens.My security scans are done weekly with each programme but on different days - no two scans are done on the same day. At present, there is nothing untoward evident in my computer, an AVG scan was done last evening - 10.10.2011 only cookies were detected.
