View 0 Replies View RelatedWe recently installed Yahoo messenger and suddenly the Library folder isn't showing any folders/files under the Administrator account. When I go to create a new Library it reads the following error message: "Unable to create the new file 'New Library.library-ms' File System Error: (16389)." Not only is the library no longer accessible, but I cannot access any of the Music, Pictures or Documents from the Start Menu.I am only able to access the folders using the search bar by selecting "User Name" from the drop down box, then suddenly everything's there. It will not allow me to drag/drop anything into the Library folder or even create a new one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just got a new laptop with windows 7. Every thing is fine except all programs are working fine and I can see everything on the screen on all programs, except one! That would be a camera program by canon called camrera launcher. The image is so large I cannot get to the bottom to operate the controls. If I change the resolution that messes up every thing else. So I need to fix this screen....
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhile wrestling with a problem on my desktop computer with XP Pro OS I'm having to use a laptop with Windows 7 that Im not at all familiar with. Can someone please tell me how to move the Navigation Pane from the left to the right in MS Office 2007 Outlook Express?
View 1 Replies View Relatedfrequently my navigation pane at the bottom of my desktop disappears. it usually happens when i leave the laptop running. i can't seem to go to system restore since it only lets me go back to the previous day. this has been going on for over a week and i do not know how to resolve the issue. i have searched the internet to find solutions but have not been able to do so. to resolve the problem i have to bring up the task manger and end explorer. then i have to run explorer again for the navigation bar/pane to appear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on an item inthe navigation pane and want to scroll down to a certain folder in the main window, the mouse wheel stays on the nav pane. Have to go and click in the main window to scroll.
If you click the navigation pane, then the wheel should in my opinion default over to scroll on the main pane. It's a little bothersome to have to keep clikckingto scroll after i just cliked to open that item in the navitgation pane already.
confused yet? maybe the pic will better describe it. I know it's not a big deal, but......
Like in the pic i clicked on music folder in the left nav pane, i would want it to scroll over on right without having to click mouse again. Maybe it's a matter of preference, but that's mine.
does win7 have a shortcut for navigation pane

View 0 Replies View RelatedWin7's Windows Explorer has a full-width pane just above the Status Bar that shows some of the details regarding the item that is highlighted in either the Navigation or File Pane. How do I permanently get rid of this pane. I find that it is redundant and occupies precious screen real estate.I've tried the Classic Shell, Folder Options and the Organize->Layout possibilities.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can get Windows Explorer to open to a specific folder in the Right Pane, but it only shows the "Computer" or "C:" level in the Left pane. I have tried pinning the folder to "Start", and have also tried various switches (n, e, select) as the target in Explorer.Attached is an example where a shortcut in Start opens TechInfo in the right panel, but not the left.Is there any way to open the folder in the [I]left[I] pane also? It's a minor issue, but a pain
View 8 Replies View RelatedHas someone found a way to make the mail preview pane header smaller as it was in Outlook Express? It occupies so much space that it makes it annoying! If I make it disappear also disappears the possibility to add the sender to recognize it as secure and the link to view images.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way I can disable Explorer's navigation pane for just a single folder when I open it from a desktop shortcut?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if it was possible to make the folders nested in the Favorites of the Navigation Pane. AFAIK nested folders work in both Libraries and Computer of the Navigation Pane, however when moved to Favorites they are just a simple link.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat my plan is, is to remove Desktop from the Navigation Pane maybe using a Registry Hack but I think if it did, it would remove the others too since they expand from Desktop. I never use Desktop from Navigation Pane and just find it to be a nuisance to always have it collapsed and just remove it instead. I have already removed Favourites and if I can get Desktop to be removed I will remove the Homegroup and Network from that too using Brink's already made Tutorials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to fix a small annoyance of mine with Windows Explorer. I would like the "Computer" to be permanently expanded. Here are some images that will clarify what I am trying to accomplish. The 1st image is what my navigation pane currently looks like, the 2nd is what I would like for it to look like
1st Image
2nd Image
I would also like to remove certain items in the Navigation pane that I don't use such as "Network" and/or "Control Panel" if possible. I have tried a program that was suggested in another post which was suggested by the user mickey megabyte and can be found . However sadly, this program did not remove any of these unwanted items.
Blank navigation pane in Explorer when opened through an application such as Chrome or Word. I can use Explorer just fine normally, unless I try to open up a file. Then I get this: . Changing the theme doesn't seem to work.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have enabled the Preview Pane (Organize/Layout/Preview Pane) and the preview pane is displayed. However, the only preview that is displayed is *.jpg. Other files such as *.doc, *.docx, *.xls, *.txt and .eml are not displayed. Also I understand that there is someway to preview *.pdf
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 HP 32bit on my desktop PC.
Motherboard: MSI K9AGM2
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
There is a perfectly good 75GB SATA hard disk installed, but when I get to the point in the installation where it asks where I want to install windows I get 'no drives were found'. I have checked in the BIOS so see if it's recognised there, which it isn't. I also tried an XP Home installation just to see what happened and that didn't recognise the hard drive either.I have just formatted this hard drive using DBan and it does work in my other PC. I have also fitted a hard drive from another PC into this computer and that one isn't seen either. I have tried different data cables and different SATA slots on the motherboard and that didn't work.
From my reading on google it seems that this might be a SATA driver issue. Where I have to get drivers from the motherboard's website and then install at the screen where it doesn't see the hard drive and gives the 'load driver' option. I have downloaded different drivers from the MSI website for my motherboard. Some of them have been found, but none have worked in finding my hard drive.
I recently found I could not rename an MS Word file selected in Windows Explorer while the Preview Pane was "on". Apparently, Windows opens a Winword process to display the file and Windows considers the file "open". With Preview Pane "off", the Winword process quits and the file can then be renamed. Is this a "feature" of Windows or a bug that Microsoft can / should fix?
