I no matter what game I play it will randomly crash the computer some games take longer to crash than others. I since it looked like a graphics card crash I decided to buy a new one to see if that would fix it. Other than a rise in fps I still get crashes. Also yes I have uninstalled old drivers and installed new ones for my hardware. I attached two zip files each with different BOSD's I have gotten.

For the last few days Ive been having problems with my computer. I have been getting the BSOD every 20 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on if I'm using the computer or not. I have done a virus scan, reseated everything, and tested the HD and RAM with no errors found. I am competent with computers but have little experience troubleshooting. The Stop codes that I have been able to record are 0x00000050 and 0x00000101. I have attached 3 mini dumps that hopefully someone can use to help me figure out what is going on.
View 7 Replies View RelatedToday I wanted to create a partition on my WD 3 tb hard drive, so i opened disk manager and shrunk the current partition creating unalcolated space when i right clicked on it to create the new partition all the options were greyed out so i use partition magic to create the partition shortly after BOSD with error 0x00000078 or 7b not sure happened too fast and i have no clue how to get my computer working again, start up recovery has proved useless. i tryed the drive on my old computr and it worked just fine the new partition was there and useable. so can someone please explain how to fix this or if thats not posable please explain a way to get the inportant data(pictures word documents ect.) off my computer so i can reset it to factory settings without looseing anything?

Occasionally, instead of sleeping the screen will turn off but the computer will keep running and none of the keys will work, leaving the computer stuck in this state until I restart it manually or the battery dies.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo before I begin, here are the stats of my laptop.Asus G60JX, Windows 7 - x64, Nvidia Geforce GTS 360M -OEM -1 1/2 years old. Have never reformatted or reinstalled OS. So i've had this gaming laptop for around 1 1/2 years old and it's been blue screening since as long as i can remember. I should have taken the laptop back but at that time i was not very knowledgeable about computers (still aren't), and didn't know how bad BSOD's were. As far as the BSOD's go, it actually doesn't occur too frequently, maybe like once every month or so. But, it has happened on a consistent basis, ever since as long as i can remember. 95% of the time, the BSOD's occur while playing games.

However to do this I have to go into windows 7 screen resolution screen and duplicate the displays though ones 1900x1200 and the Tv is 1920x1080 causing the PC screen to look funky but I can live with it to launch the games.I than have to go into the sound properties and set the default for the system to the HDMI cable and I can play my games on the TV like I want. (about 30 feet away)When done I have to come back and undue each setting to get control back to my PC.

I've had a problem with video games. They would freeze and only way to turn of my computer is through the power cable or power switch on back of desktop. After that if i try to turn on my computer it would freeze at random moments without letting me even get the my screen (this, what im doin now) and i need to let it "cool off" for hours before it lets me go back, no this is not a heat issue my heat is no higher than 43degrees most of time blow 40.

View 4 Replies View Relatedever since last friday i have been getting bsod. my occured while playing lotro (lord of the rings online, mmo) and while playing windowd i tried to play a Internet video. which has never given me any problems before. also msn and some other firefox tabs were open.then saturday and sunday more bsod came in. during browsing, during doing nothing, on the windows inlog screen. i can't really put my finger on it. putting load on the system doesn't trigger it, nor does firefox, lotro, seems a bit random.only software stuff that changed since friday is a java update, daily avira anti virus definitions update and i installed guild wars 2.i tried to look at the bluescreens logs myself, but i really have no clue what i'm looking at, so if you could check for me that would be awesome.

I recently got a 32" tv which I am using as a monitor, hooked up using hdmi. During gameplay my computer freezes for a second or less and then everything is fine. This only happens when I play games. I was wondering if its because of the tv my gpu has to push out more power b/c of the hdmi setup?My previous monitor was an hyundai 17" crt using a vga cable.I don't think it has anything to do with any particular game b/c they all ran fine before at 1280 x 960, and I now run games at either 1280 x 720 or 1360 x 768.Do I need a more powerful PSU, the one I have is a Xtech 500W with a over a years use. View 2 Replies View Relatedthe problem is stuttering. i get stutters in games, game movie scenes, videos, Internet videos, even as i type this to you know at times what i am typing doesn't appear, it stutters, then the words appear. in games, the stutter is probably every 10 seconds or so and makes games unbearable to play. with movies, the video will freeze but the audio will carry on, then once the stutter ends the video catches up and synchronizes with the audio. in firefox, like i mentioned earlier sometimes what i type doesn't appear for a few seconds, and also when i click on links it occasionally stutters. my laptop is an alienware mx15 which is less than 18 months old and 2months ago i wiped and reinstalled windows. things i have tried so far?
- updated graphics card driver which is a nvidea geforce gtx 420
- i did a disc defrag
- error checking of the hard drive (this got rid of the stuttering for about 10 mins whilst i was playing a game. however, when i go back to the properties on my c drive and look at this option again, there is the shield (2 blue quarters and 2 yellow quarters) usually this means an update, but nothing happens.
my hdd died, so i opted for a fresh install of windows 7 professional on the new hdd. i reinstalled all my programs and drivers and such. but i've had the same problem ever since:sometimes, randomly, when i start my computer, these things happen all at once:microsoft games (solitaire, minesweeper, majong, etc.) will not open. i double-click on them, and then nothing. no error, nothing to indicate the computer is trying to open them. if i go directly to the application and try to open them there, same thing. video does not play correctly. in wmp, it just plays the audio and displays a small screenshot of the video (as if it were album art).
divx player won't play anything at all. vlc player would open a separate screen called yuv sdl output. but the latest update for vlc fixed that. if i try to play a dvd, i get this error:windows media player cannot play dvd video. you might need to adjust your windows display settings. open display settings in control panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings. changing the settings does nothing. in radeon catalyst control center, when i'm adjusting the video settings, i will get an error stating the sample video cannot load. if i were to play a game like portal 2 or fallout: new vegas, nothing happens. i put in the disc, and nothing happens. i double-click on the disc, and nothing happens - just as with the windows games. all of these happen at once, randomly, when i start my computer - sometimes everything works fine, sometimes it all stops working. restarting my laptop usually fixes the problem.i went through and updated all my drivers, including the graphics drivers and updated radeon catalyst control center.
-edit-when on Internet or other streaming media sites (doesn't matter which player is being used) if i try to go fullscreen, it turns the screen black and opens a new tab called adobe flash player. but this "tab" is just transparent and nothing displays. the sound still displays fine though. i also can't do anything. everywhere i click, it just stops/plays the sound (as if it was in fullscreen). i have to hit windows+tab or ctrl+alt+delete to get back to regular view.
-edit 2-found another thing affected. i went to check my windows experience index score and it said there is no information available; you haven't run the test yet. but i have multiple times. so i go to run it and nothing happened. i tried several times but had no response.
Would a video card upgrade help my games play better, or would I need a faster processor (running 2.20)?

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy computer did have BSOD problem since I've tried to add 2 GB of RAM on my Windows XP SP 3 on October 2011. BSOD came out after playing a game for 6-30 minutes (or game application crashed) or viewing a video (random occurence). After getting no results of all to cure BSOD, I decided to change my OS to Windows 7 and I still got this problem. I've tried to bring my CPU to service center with no luck at all.
Here, I attached my recent dump and perfmon report with it. Although a few hours before I post this thread, I cleaned earlier dumps with CCleaner. I have really bad lag when running any application that requires full screen mode. I've got the latest AMD drivers that supports my GFX card (Asus Radeon 4850). I used to have a Nvidia card and I would just change one of the settings to get rid of the lag. I changed the Graphics card and reformatted the computer so it shouldn't be a driver issue. I have Service Pack 1 and all the updates for Windows installed.The lag is unbearable for games, so I can't play any games that require full screen, no issues when it's run in windowed mode. I've used FPS monitors while running games (Fraps and MSI afterburner) and the frame rates readings are normal (above 60 always) but it always looks like 20-ish no matter which game I play.
For videos there's always some kind of problem. Used various media players, and different browsers for flash videos but sometime the video skips to the end very quickly, or won't continue playing and halts immediately somewhere along the way. Used MSI Kombustor to stress out the GPU, and it maxes at 70� at 100% load. Directx 10 stress test seems to be blurry, every other test seems fine to run but would have the lag from being in full screen.
i get a little stutter every 2-3 seconds with everything that involves motion pictures e.g games, movies, online games, Internet etc. my music does the same too.happened when i fell asleep watching a movie on Internet, woke up and my screen was black but the pc was still running. turned pc off and back on at the wall, started Internet to watch movie from when i fell asleep.
