"Error 1606. Could not access network location %public%Desktop." when uninstalling a program:I have a windows 7 x64 machine and just recently I started getting error 1606. I looked up the previous threads and followed instructions. They worked for others but not for me. I tried the Fix It patches but still my problem is not fixed. Just today I noticed the following:My Op Sys was resurrected via an image that I had saved a month ago. If I try to uninstall any of the programs that came with the Image, I get error 1606. However, If I install a new program it will uninstall just fine.
I am having an intermittent problem isnalling different programs in Windows 7. I will get the following error message when the insall fails "Error 1606. Could not access network location %AppDATA%." When I got this error before I was able to get around it by crated another administrator account in Windows to install programs. Since then I have did a clean install of windows and the issue went away until several months ago. So far the programs that I cant install are Java updates, and Quickbooks Starter Edition. Below you will find some basics about my PC.
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bit Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 2 Processor Count: 4
i downloaded the java runtime environment 6.0 and tryed to install it but i keep getting the error 1723. Saying that there is a .dll file missing or something. I re downloaded it like 5 times and the same thing happens. I have a 32-bit version of windows 7 and a 7100 build.
She did the annual update and it failed leaving no copy of the program on the machine.Long story short I got her into her Mcafee account and dl'd the updated version. It would not install because of a Java error. This is also the problem preventing with her logging onto her bank account. So I updated her Java to version 7 and confirmed it on Java's site.Still no joy. Mcafee will not install for the same reason and by the way, she is updated to SP1 on Win 7.I'll put a log from TSG SysInfo up a bit later.
I have been having an error with Java lately and I think this issue is the reason for the many Java related issues I've been having. Any effective fix, either it be reinstalling Java entirely or modifying a file. The error is as follows:
Cannot copy to the clipboard: java.security.AccessControlException, access denied ("java.awt.AWTPermission" "accessClipboard")
i mistakely deleted all the java files instead of uninstalling the java. Now when i m tryin to uninstall java, its giving this 1723 error. Does any know how to fix this
In the last few months I have been getting error messages in my Yahoo mail account. It will not go to next email and returns an 'Error Code 5' or recently an 'Error Code 15'. It says "Sorry for the inconvenience. You have stumbled upon an unexpected, temporary problem." This happens every other email. What are these codes and why is this happening?
Here is a copy of what pops up on my desktop over and over. I think it's a problem with Pogo and Java. There is more to the error message, A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime.
Trying to decide who to use for my Medicare Drug Plan, I'm getting this error message from this site (SilverScript). The error (on Firefox 17) occurs after I enter a drug and click enter.
