For some reason IE9 has stopped me loading certain web sites, which I use often, all I get is "The website cannot display the page", it loads alright on another computer connected to the same internet connection, can anyone tell me why this has suddenly started, I haven`t done anything different than normal.

Presently I am using IE8 and many of the sites (but not all) does not show the popup asking if you want to save the User name and passwordThe ones that do work fine and the login information is retained but most of the guitar and bass forums I have been on for years do not retain the information.Machines with Windows XP are fine. I have tried IE 9, Chrome, Safari. They all reat the same way which lead me to believe it is an OS problem. The Talkbass.com admin tried toith this but ended up stating "it must be a Windows 7 64 bit problemr shed some light on this problem. It is so tireing re-entering every time you bring up Internet Explorer to view the forum. Facebook works fine. I am at a loss here.

View 0 Replies View RelatedOne particular site that is not loading at all, on any browsers on my computer is [URL]. There are many more that fail to load as well. I did test these sites on my iPhone with no problems though. There are a handful of other sites that do open but do not load properly [missing images, ect.] I also thought that it might be malware but I installed & scanned my computer with four different programs which did not solve the problem. I'm guessing that it still may be some problem on the software side with settings but I can't seem to figure out where to look. BTW, I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus program for the past couple of days now. Prior to that I was using Avira but it seemed to be giving me problems so I uninstalled it and installed the Microsoft app.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently re-installed Windows 7 from some rescue disks, and everything, with the exception of Internet Explorer is now running fine! Basically whenever I load a web page in IE it crashes after a short time (5 - 10 seconds), and I then have to exit with CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (Task Manager)! Inside task manager I actually have to terminate the IE processes, as IE won't exit if I attempt to shut down through the Applications tab.
Initially IE8 was installed from the rescue disks, and I have since upgraded to IE9, but both versions are behaving just as badly as each other.
I have even tried to start IE in "No-Add Ons" mode from the "Accessories" menu - however after a short time it still crashes. Now I have no add ons enabled, I have deleted everything (in IE history), scanned for viruses (there are none), and I am wondering if there is some way of repairing IE?
P.S.: I have installed other browsers, but I actually need IE for running some Microsoft Online Services, all other browsers are only supported in "lite" mode!!!
Internet explorer has stopped working, Internet explorer is restarting.windows explorer has stopped working, windows explorer is restarting. I have emailed Microsoft 3 times and they have given me MANY things to try but I am a computer tech, so I had already tried them all.It is all over the internet so my computer details should not matter.It is ALL over the Internet about this problem and no one seems to know the answer.Of course, you can format but that is not a "fix" for it or how to stop it from happening.

View 3 Replies View Relatedive been having a problem with internet explorer crashing since i bought my laptopim using ie9 and i keep getting the msg saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close (i appoligize if its not the exact words). than it closes all my programs down. i dont know if it has to do with another problem i have been having while playing facebook games and watching movies using flash player. right out of the blue my game or movie (whichever im doing) freezes than either says i need to update flashplayer or it just shows a big "!" were my game or movie should be.

When it first came out as a matter of fact but now when I use ANYTHING that I want to print out (Like MapQuest.com)It will not print any more. I can fire up Fire fox and all printing works just fine. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had IE9 on this Win7 (64-Bit) computer for a few months now and today when I opened IE9 and tried to go to a few sites, it would remain on the "Downloading" or "Waiting.." in the lower left. After about 5 minutes of so, the page would load. Clicking on the "Back" or "X" wouldn't work. I had to Del/Ctrl/Alt to get out of these pages that were not loading (quickly).
I uninstalled IE9 and IE8 seems to be behaving the same way - very slow loading of sites, AOL, etc. I ran full MSE scan and nothing shows. I installed IE9 again and still same "slowness" getting into all sites! Did the "disable add-ons" thing and that didn't work, either. FF runs fine, so I presume it is something in IE9 (and IE8) that is causing this "slowness, slugishness, etc." for pages ot load/show." I tried IE9 64-bit and same problem! If I wait and wait (maybe several minutes) the page will finally show.
Tried resettting, Mr Fixit, etc. Uninstalled IE9, figured it was corrupted. Have IE8 now, but I can't reinstall EI9. Getting error messages that it was unable to continue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTeamViewer 8.0.16642 stopped loading on my Win 7 Ultimate box at startup. I went to services.msc and stopped TeamViewer. I went to Control Panel, Uninstall a Program and uninstalled TeamViewer. It took a long time to uninstall. I ran CCleaner Registry and deleted the TeamViewer entries. I also ran Little Registry Cleaner and deleted the TeamViewer entries. I deleted the TeamViewer folder in Programs x86 folder and ran both reg cleaners again and rebooted. I was able to successfully reinstall TeamViewer 8.0.16642 again... but TeamViewer fails to load on startup. I was not upgrading TeamViewer when I reinstalled it. Any ideas on how to get TeamViewer to load on startup? I'm confused because it used to work VERY well for me. I'm not sure why it stopped working or why it won't start at reboot in the system tray.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI turned on my PC and the monitor showed that there was no signal and went to power save mode. I checked DVI leads - all ok. Tried a few things as this has happened before and realized the BIOS was not loading or the signal was not getting from machine (via graphics card) to monitor. This has happened before and a CMOS reset has fixed.I reset CMOS and could then load BIOS. However Windows would not load even after making sure RAID and all other BIOS settings were as they were before. I tried a few times and did a system restore and loaded last known working profile. Now Windows starts to load and I get to the multi coloured dots forming the MS Windows symbol and it looks like it is about to load, but when the screen goes blank and the machine restarts - this loop continues unless I boot to safe mode.I also removed all usb devices and tried - same result.So, I have tried a number of settings, a system restore, and I tried some other things that seemed to fail as windows said the machine would not start properly.I am now going to boot into Ubuntu to see if that works and that may rule out the gfx card, I will report that back. I will also boot without the keyboard and report that too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, about two weeks ago Firefox 10 stopped loading web pages. The "connecting" circle keeps spinning and absolutely nothing happens. I have Thunderbird email and may have found a temporary way around it: I right click on "Reload tab" on the website tab I'm trying to access. I have to do it several times for it to connect to the site. I uninstalled FF 10 and reinstalled 9 to see if the problem persisted: it does. I actually had to use Internet Explorer (!) a few times to be able to access the various websites, and I downloaded Chrome as a temporary stop-gap measure in case FF doesn't work at all. Although I don't want to use any browser but Firefox, this malfunctioning is getting me down a lot; I might be going to Chrome permanently. What can be causing this vexing problem of web pages not loading? [I have Windows 7 Profession 32 bit SP1].

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping fr soem input on a recent issue that I've started to encounter where Windows 7 'freezes' and my only option is a 'hard reset' via held power button and restart.This has only started happening in the last week or so, and seems to only (and nearly always) happen after I've shut down a game (one of several) running via Steam.The games themselves will work fine, but after I come back out to desktop/Steam then Windows will stop to respond after a couple of instructions. Ctrl-Alt-Delete will fail to bring up the Task Manager screen etc.

I've unplugged and replugged every cord from both my router and modem, and it's not my laptop because I took it to a friend's house and it worked fine there. I've defragged and scanned and cleaned out my disk, but it still doesn't work. I ran troubleshooter and it said that nothing's wrong.
