Install Windows 7 Ultimate Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi2550
Oct 30, 2009
I have a problem installing Ultimate on my laptop. When I get to the part of the install where I choose wich hard drive or partition to install it on, the installation doesn't detect any of my hard drives.
From what I've gathered from browsing different forums my problem lies in that I have to install drivers for the disc controller in order to detect the hard drives as I belive the drives are in a RAID-setup, but I can't seem to find the right ones.
From the information in the Controlpanel in Vista (wich I'm currently running) I've gathered that I have a:
* Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller
AND
* Intel(R) ICH8M Ultra ATA storage Controllers - 2850
I've tried to load the drivers for these that I got from Fujitsu-Siemens, but I get the same problem. Could it be that these drivers are just for Vista? And in that case where do I find some for Windows 7? I've seen posts from people running Windows 7 on the same laptop so it should be possible to preform the install, but how?
My laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo pro v3405 wireless connection always on after upgrading to Genine Windows 7..I ca not switch of from the wireless bottom nor by Fn F10..
i have installed Windows 7 on this machine to test and it works perfectly except for the sound, Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9 is the only thing wrong when i go into device manager driver upto date, and don't know if this is the problem but, have done some googling for additional drivers but to no avail and fujitsi have no solution, tried the vista solutions still no go. anyone who can point me in right direction which is probably staring me in the face.
a friend of mine has a new Fujitsu Amilo LI3910 laptop. the only problem he has with it, is that his mic is very very low. i can hardly hear him when he is using it. as he told me, he has an internal and external microphones. the internal one shows 3 bars of volume and he can't make it any higher. the external one is full but the volume is still very low. He changed OS from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Professional. He thinks that it's somehow connected to his audio drive. However, we do not know what kind of audio card he has, since all it says on the manufacturers site is "Up to 7.1 high-definition audio via S/PDIF"
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P computer which I have just upgraded from XP to Windows 7, but for some reason my sound card does not seem to work, I have been onto the Fujitsu website but can't find any drivers for windows 7 to upgrade my sound card, I would be greatful for any suggestions as to how I might overcome this problem.
I have just installed windows 7 on my Fujitsu Siemens amilo pro V3405 and my wireless is not working . The function F10 does not turn it on and it says it is working properly in the device manager, it is also enabled in the BIOS.
I bought a fujitsu T731 tablet PC with windows 7 professional a few days ago and it works ok if I do not let it update with an install of " windows 7 service pack 1 " which looses the wireles connection. This is a reproduceable problem which I reported to fujitsu who's answer is to not allow updates and saying it's not their problem but rather microsoft's which is not allowing their driver for the wireless. I had to reinstall fujitsu's recovery files and another time had to do restore thru windows. So now it works but without the update install.
Friend has installed Windows 7 on his Amilo Xi2428 but Device Manager shows 'PCI memory manager' driver missing - which I guess is the Nand Flash driver for Vista. Tried installing the Vista driver in Compatibility mode but still says operating system not supported.
I bought a Fujitsu P4, 2.66 GHZ, computer. Its memory capacity was 256 MB but i upgraded to 512 GB so that i could load Windows 7. I loaded Windows 7 and after the installation, there was no sound. I re-installed again but still there was no sound
I've recently acquired a relatively old, yet (wonder)fully functional, Fujitsu P7010D laptop.It's a 1.10GHz Pentium M, with 1 GB of RAM. I'm no expert in computers so let me know if there's something else that is necessary to mention. Basically it's a 7 year old laptop (since 2005), but it runs just fine.A lovely piece of gear. I was trying to install a Home Basic edition of Windows 7 on it with no success.Again and again I encountered a problem that only popped at the end of the installation, upon running Windows for the first time. I got a blue screen during "Starting Windows" (its animation never started by the way, FWIW), saying ( A problem occurred ... If this problem persists ... ) The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor for an updated BIOS. Technical Information:*** STOP x000000A5 (0x00000011, 0x00000003, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Well obviously it's about my BIOS, so I downloaded what probably is the latest update from Fujitsu, which seems to be from 2007 (that's the date in the BIOS Info tab). After going through another Windows 7 installation, the same blue screen appeared again, sadly. The original Windows XP Professional edition does work completely fine, so is another "Windows Seven Royal XP SP3" that I downloaded from the internet. I only get the error when trying to install Win 7. Another thing to mention is, I could load Windows 7 on safe mode (hitting F8 during boot up), everything was functional there when I was messing with settings and USB / SD (Secure Digital) devices. No blue screen at that time. Tried to put it all simply and accurate, I'd love to get some help with thatI use it in my studies and there's nothing I want more than a comfy workspace on the go everyday and during lectures.
Anyone have any luck with a Fujitsu Scansnap S510 under Windows 7 RC 64 bit? I have the Vista 64 bit drivers which worked just fine under Vista, but I can't get the Scan Manager package to install at all under Windows 7 RC 64.
my lifebook 532 my touch pad pointer is very sensitive, specifically highlighting unwanted items on a web page and actioning commands when hovered over for a short time.
My dad downloaded lots of bloatware and phishing programs... I want to reformat his computer. He has windows 7 32bit ultimate installed. He has the disc for 32 and 64 bit upgrade cds. Can i switch his to the Windows 7 64 bit? If so, how?
I have a gateway desktop model gm-5483e with a motherboard ecs-945gct-m3 it came with vista home premium 32-bit what hardware do I need to swap out to make the 64-bit version run also I want to use it for some light gaming so how powerful can I go with the CPU right now its an Intel Pentium d925 dual core with each core at 3ghz
After Done Formatting My Computer I Installed The Sound Card And It Worked Perfectly Then I Download Graphic Media Accelarator And Then After Download When I Tried To Install It An Error Pop Out Saying Your System Doesn't Meet the minimum requirement
I'm not too sure on the motherboard So I formatted my WinXP drive, and tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate x86.Everything went fine until after the first reboot, "completing installation" it would just crash and everything froze, making me have to do a 5 sec forced shutdown.Then I tried again about 3 more times...Still same problem.I didn't get a photo, but here is an image I found on google images, similar to my situation, except for my laptop, it has stripes like that but the original image still is in the background.
I keep getting this message: Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the computer's system volume. Error Code: 0x80070057I have done several steps already, I opened the cmd and I did the following steps[CODE]
The way I have things set up right now is I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on my netbook and it's dualboot with Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit (beta); what I want to do (and I'm not sure if this is even possible) is get my existing Windows 7 installation to work in VirtualBox inside Ubuntu.Basically what I want to do, is dualboot Windows 7 but also be able to run that same installation (with all programs and settings) in a virtual machine when in Ubuntu.Anyways, is this even possible? And if so, how do I do this?(currently I'm trying to figure it out myself but I haven't had any luck; although I have yet to try everything)And the point is to be able to still dualboot while at the same time being able to run the same installation in a VM if needed.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed on an older PC and cannot get the service pack 1 to successfully install.At one time Microsoft Security Essentials was installed, but it has been uninstalled.I have tried with other virus scanners installed and with no security programs installed.I have searched the Microsoft forums
I currently running Vista Home Premium and am finally moving to Win 7I have the bootable Windows 7 install disc and certainly want to do a clean installNow I'm a bit on the anal side so I really want the install to be clean and am considering doing a wipe on the drive, then booting from teh Win 7 install cd.Is this wipe needed? Or will I get a good, clean install by simply booting to the Win 7 install cd
I bought Windows 7 Ultimate which comes with the 32bit and 64bit dvd's. Right now I have the Windows 7 RC1 32bit installed but as we all know its gonna start acting up in March since it will start to expire.As the computer boots up with the dvd in the drive, all works fine until it starts asking for the dvd drivers. Yes, my drive is IDE. Not SATA. Do I really have to go buy a SATA cabled dvd drive to install windows 7? Second, is the fact that I have a 32 bit OS now, affecting the fact that it can't find the drivers? Is it because it's looking for 64 bit drivers when I have a 32 bit os now? I've already read up on this issue for the dvd drivers and it seems it was coming up alot even before the RTM versions and it seemed that redownloading an ISO was the solution aside from getting a SATA drive. But, I didn't download my copy. I have a real disc. I've already tried switching in the BIOS where my drive is set to RAID and moving it to IDE and then to the other option on there and no luck so far on getting it installed.
Could not install windows 7 ultimate.Had first formatted hard disk. Started window on disk and has gone through all the steps except the last. Fail at one of the reboot during installation.
I am useing win 7 ultimate 64 bit and I never made rescue cd I do have,files backed up on carbonite but no hard copy. I installed sp1 but got a fatal area code (C000009A ) and instructed to,insert instalation cd to corect witch is the point I have no idea what I did with it. How do I get another cd, a boot cd, or,restore win 7 ultimate to factory setting.
i am running windows 7 ultimate on my Dell Inspiron desktop. I keep getting error codes whenever i try to install the sp1. I have tried everything that Microsoft has recommended. I have used the update tool and even took all the language packs off my system. I am still having the same problems. All other updates run fine.
