Friend has installed Windows 7 on his Amilo Xi2428 but Device Manager shows 'PCI memory manager' driver missing - which I guess is the Nand Flash driver for Vista. Tried installing the Vista driver in Compatibility mode but still says operating system not supported.
a friend of mine has a new Fujitsu Amilo LI3910 laptop. the only problem he has with it, is that his mic is very very low. i can hardly hear him when he is using it. as he told me, he has an internal and external microphones. the internal one shows 3 bars of volume and he can't make it any higher. the external one is full but the volume is still very low. He changed OS from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Professional. He thinks that it's somehow connected to his audio drive. However, we do not know what kind of audio card he has, since all it says on the manufacturers site is "Up to 7.1 high-definition audio via S/PDIF"
My laptop Fujitsu Siemens Amilo pro v3405 wireless connection always on after upgrading to Genine Windows 7..I ca not switch of from the wireless bottom nor by Fn F10..
I have just installed windows 7 on my Fujitsu Siemens amilo pro V3405 and my wireless is not working . The function F10 does not turn it on and it says it is working properly in the device manager, it is also enabled in the BIOS.
I have a problem installing Ultimate on my laptop. When I get to the part of the install where I choose wich hard drive or partition to install it on, the installation doesn't detect any of my hard drives.
From what I've gathered from browsing different forums my problem lies in that I have to install drivers for the disc controller in order to detect the hard drives as I belive the drives are in a RAID-setup, but I can't seem to find the right ones.
From the information in the Controlpanel in Vista (wich I'm currently running) I've gathered that I have a:
* Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller
AND
* Intel(R) ICH8M Ultra ATA storage Controllers - 2850
I've tried to load the drivers for these that I got from Fujitsu-Siemens, but I get the same problem. Could it be that these drivers are just for Vista? And in that case where do I find some for Windows 7? I've seen posts from people running Windows 7 on the same laptop so it should be possible to preform the install, but how?
whenever i add any external hardware(like pen drive, modem etc) through usb, my os(windows 7) fail to install that driver...// i hv change my os to windows xp, still it happens. My antivirus is mcafee.
Using Win 7, I plug in a SanDisk Cruzer micro 2 gb flashdrive to the USB port but the drive is not detected. I can do the same from an XP machine and the flashdrive is not detected. If it was detected, I could go to computer management and select it, but since it is not detected, that is not an option. I have lots of data on this flashdrive and have used it extensively with both the XP and Win 7 machines but now it is not detected. Any thoughts on how to force detection? Unfortunately I suspect the USB connector has gone bad.
I recently downloaded the win 7 x64 iso and added it to a usb flash drive using the "usb flash drive tool" from microsoft. When I boot from the flashdrive the windows install wizard loads, I select the language and click next, then I get asked to find the CD/DVD-rom driver...
I have bit of a trouble with installing Windows 7 on my new ASUS X501A freedos laptop. Since the laptop has no disk drive I am installing Windows via USB device.
Everything goes smooth with the installation until it reaches the second step, asking for a cd/dvd/flash driver, not recognizing the USB device that is plugged in.
I went to re-install my phones Firmware today, had to install the Update Service. That went fine, loaded up the Update Service and tried to connect my phone, this is where the problem came up.
Turns out Windows doesn't have a driver for the SEMC flash on the phone (the bit with the firmware on it). Any Suggestions?
How can you copy one flash drive to another flash drive,on the same computer?

When I put a flash USB drive in my Windows 7 machine it gives a beep and tells me that the drivers have been loaded and the drive is ready for use.But I can't see it anywhere, it shows in 'Devices and Printers' but won't open from there.How do I get it to show up when I open 'Computer' from the Start button please.Tech Suppot Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , Service Pack 1, 32 bitProcessor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-Core Processor, x64 Family 16 Model 2 Stepping 3Processor Count: 4RAM: 3583 MbGraphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series, 512 MbHard Drives: C: Total - 305141 MB, Free - 183571 MB; E: Total - 953867 MB, Free - 669909 MB; Motherboard: ASRock, N68C-S UCC,,Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials, Updated and Enabled
in 7 doesn't see any USB flash drives. Check in disk management - not showing up there either.AND........If I switch HDDs & revert to XP - same thing. No usb flash drives appear. And in control panel > disk management they do not appear as unassigned also.
I had a virus and am told I'm now clean - but I have two External hard drives that have all my stuff on them - that I don't want to lose (grimace). I downloaded the flash detector - but I can't get it to run - is it because it does not work on windows seven? If it does not is there something else I can maybe use?
I Can't find a flash player that works. everywhere I look it won't work. They say that it installs but when I go to a site that needs flash it doesn't work.
i've noticed that i can't get a flash player for my 64 bit ie so i've been using the 32 bit version, but i've got a problem.
playing some videos is fine... Internet and all of those are great.
my problem is when i go to a place like stickam or ustream or something like that ie closes on me when the site tries to access my camera and mic. that is annoying, but not too much of a problem.
my other problem is that i can't watch some embedded videos, even the ones i put into my own website from my own account on viddler. it just closes, restores the 'tab' and i go from there.
has anyone had this problem before? if so how did you fix it? i already tried the old 'uninstall and reinstall flash' bit and so far i've stuck out.
I'm using the latest FF release and when prompted to upgrade my Flash player, I do so. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and either way, a few days later I am prompted to upgrade again.
Don't know is this is a 7 issue or a FF issue or a Flash issue, but its getting tiring. Anyone else have this?
I bought a 500W PSU for my computer. It was too big for my apparently shorter than standard case, but when I was building my computer I flicked the red switch on the back (the europe to US voltage one) with it switched on (but the system wasn't functioning). There was a big green flash and a slight pinging noise.Just wondering, is that PSU totally done for?
