I have a HP Color Laserjet 4650 printer and I am using a Windows 7 64bit laptop, the only driver available to me is HP Universal printer on the HP website.
But the issue I am having is I can't print colour and there is no option to select it with universal driver.
My HP930c printer won't print in colour. Was working OK till I elected to print something in black and white. I have ticked the colour box under Preferences and clicked OK. I have tried two brand new HP original colour cartridges and still it won't print a test page or a document in colour.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Win7 Pro 64bit on my new build and want the new build to have access my HP 6p over my (wired) LAN. The HP 6p is connected to a machine running 32 bit XP Pro. I want to print with the HP 6p from the Win 7 Pro 64bit machine (which will be dual booted with XP Pro 64bit as soon as that OS arrives in the mail), as well as couple of other XP pro 32bit machines, and one oldster still running 2000Pro, on the network. Based on maroxur's advice url.. I've downloaded the HP Universal print drivers (PCL5, PCL6 & PS, all 64bit). I think I will need to use the PS driver because I want to be able to print from Corel Word Perfect and Adobe Pro 7, but am not sure how to load the 64bit PS driver when I can't get the Win7 Pro machine to "see" the HP 6p printer share in the XP Pro machine it's attached to. Logistically, it would be difficult to attach the HP 6p to the Win7 Pro machine, but if that's the only way (or the best way) I could do it if I can find a good USB adapter for my parallel port.My network is a "hub & spoke", from a router, if that makes any difference.
Additionally, I've been reading about the MS/HP "Printer Isolation" protocols url... and think I should probably set up the Win7 Pro machine as the print server and then use the "Isolation mode" mode for all printers in the network, but am not sure. I added the "Print Management" snap in to the MMC, but am not really sure where to go from there.
how to colour in trimmings and borders black and then change the font colour. I want everything black with orange writing. I've seen it and I lik it, I just cant figure out to do it?Also, when I go to my find new skin page, it is really messy. Lots of bold bright borders and lines and broken lines. Is very hard to read. View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Logitech USB headset, and it worked fine for the first few days I had it. I noticed, however, about two days after the purchase that it failed to work. My USB mouse worked fine, however, so I figured it was the headset. I discarded the headset and continued using the built-in microphone. Later, however, when I had to restart my system in order to install an update, my mouse stopped working as well (they work fine on other computers). I looked to see what the problem was in the Device Manager, and my Universal Serial Bus driver was apparently damaged.
As well as my Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and my Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller. I attempted to uninstall, reboot my system, and then let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers, but they always fail to do so in the middle of the installation process. I then attempted to do a system restore the day before both the Windows update and then before the problems with the USB headset, but the problem persisted. If all else fails, I might have to reformat, but I do not want to have to result to that extreme since I cannot salvage anything of value onto an external hard drive.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have 3 desktop..two PC is having a win7 32bit and the other one is 64bit..i install the printer LX-300+II(dot matrix) on the 64bit win7...then of course the three desktop is on a network...the 32bit win7 is the admin..then the 64bit win7 and the 32bit admin can print on the dot matrix..but the other 32bit cannot..both of those 3 desktop are shared..workgroup name is same..sharing properties is same for both 32bit..and both 32bit can connect to the printer and can detect..when i tried to print its just qeue and comes with the word "spooling"..but when i tried printing on a laser printer it prints..but on the dot matrix it cannot print...
ways i tried:
1.check the port/ethernet the UTP cables plug out plug in and wait like around 20 secs. then connect again.
2.reinstall the driver on the 32bit that doesnt print.
3.remove device then add printer again.
4.did a windows update.
5.check if same workgroup.
6.check if shared and with same location and can access both 3 desktop.
7.check the permissions.
8.restart the computer.
9.troubleshooting the printer.
10.make sure there's a network connection.
IP address doesn't have because its a USB port and not suported by the OS..3 desktop on a network...two 32bit win7 one win7 64bit.32bit and 64 bit can print on the dot matrix and laser printer but the other 32bit cannot print on the matrix but can print on the laser..when printing its just qeue with spooling..
I got a new computer powered by Windows 7 which was upgraded to Win 7 Pro. I have it attached to a Xerox Phaser 8400 printer. The printer will not print in color when i use the word pad or Print Master software. It's own self test it prints color so I assume there is a setting I can't find.

Everything was going fine with setting up until it came to printers.I have 3 printers connected - Brother HL2030 laser, HP Photosmart D6160 and Epson Stylus photo R2400 - and NONE of them will work. All three came up with "your device is installed correctly etc etc" message. I can't print documents or even a test page. I've downloaded and installed Brother's W7 driver - zilch. HP site says you lose most of the functionality of toollbox etc but "the windows 7 default driver should work" - it doesn't. Likewise the Epson. However when I tried to install the printer on my wife's laptop I cannot get it to connect at all. The printer can be seen on the network however why I try to print nothing goes to queue. I have check spooler service and it is on.We use to have an old HP photosmart but it stopped working. Computer #2 Sucessfully installed networked printer and prints normally when Computer #1 is booted to XP. When computer #1 is booted to Windows 7 it automatically detects and installs networked printer once network was correctly setup but gets error message when trying to print.
