HP LaserJet 6P Printer Won't Print
May 30, 2012Suddenly (two years since Windows 7 was installed), the printer will not print a document. However, printer (H-P Laser 6P) WILL print test page. The steps I followed are:

Mar 22, 2012I have an Hewlwtt Packard HP Color LaserJet 2840 which is connected via USB to a Belkin PLAY N600 DB router, which is connected to my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I have been to the HP webstie and it tells me to use the drivers that came with Windows 7.
So in the Devices & Printers window it is there, labelled as HP Color LaserJet 2800 series and when I try to print I get an error.
I'm guessing it is something to do with the driver as I cannot scan at all, it just tells me there is no scanner connected!!

Mar 30, 2009I had trouble finding how to get my HP Laserjet 4 printer to work in Windows 7.
My research indicates it would run in Vista using built in drivers, but I didn't have or use Vista. I also tried driversguide, and HP site just says "supported"
When I used one of the available earleir drivers I always get the error message:
"W2 INVALID PERS"
OK Solved it now. Lots of drivers in a package for HP laserjets. Go to the Windows Update page and download the package; here: Microsoft Update Catalog
HP Laserjet 1022 Printer
Nov 6, 2009HP have updated their drivers for Windows 7 (32 & 64bit). I run the desktop with Windows 7 64 bit with the 1022 connected. The laptop runs Windows 7 32 bit.
Everything prints fine from the Desktop which the 1022 is connected to via USB. The laptop can see the 1022 but printing a test page from the laptop simply doesn't happen. You can see the test file in the 1022 print queue but that's it so obviously it's getting across the wi-fi network. Both are members of the homegroup with everything enabled.
Rebooting the Desktop back into Win XP (32bit) and everything prints just fine to the printer from the laptop.
HP Printer LaserJet 2100
Jan 6, 2010I am connecting a laptop running Windows 7 64bits to a HP printer LaserJet 2100 on a Win NT server through work-group network. Here are my problems.
1) Problem when connecting Wireless to the network
--All other computers (running XP & 98s) are connected through hub to router to the server.
--This laptop is the only one connecting wirelessly right now.
--Laptop can not see any computers in the same network However can connect Online.(since can't see other computers thus can't connect to printers.)
Q: how can I make them see/connect to each other?
2) Problem when connecting via LAN to the network
--Laptop now can see all the computers in the network and can access the files
--However when trying to ADD Printer from network still unsuccessful. Here is what I did:
Device & Settings --> ADD Printer --> ADD a network printer --> (found the printer on network and clicked on NEXT) >> Driver Not Found
Then I tried to locate the driver manually to the driver downloaded from HP's site which updated recently in Dec. Here is the link still can not find the right .INF file to install.
It seems the Laptop doesn't know what exact .INF file it is looking for and thus failed to install.
Q: How to Connecting Windows 7 to HP LaserJet 2100 on Win NT ?
Any reply/answers to both Scenarios would be greatly appreciated. (this issue troubled me for a while now would really like to have some solution)..

Sep 18, 2012i have 3 desktop..two PC is having a win7 32bit and the other one is 64bit..i install the printer LX-300+II(dot matrix) on the 64bit win7...then of course the three desktop is on a network...the 32bit win7 is the admin..then the 64bit win7 and the 32bit admin can print on the dot matrix..but the other 32bit cannot..both of those 3 desktop are shared..workgroup name is same..sharing properties is same for both 32bit..and both 32bit can connect to the printer and can detect..when i tried to print its just qeue and comes with the word "spooling"..but when i tried printing on a laser printer it prints..but on the dot matrix it cannot print...
ways i tried:
1.check the port/ethernet the UTP cables plug out plug in and wait like around 20 secs. then connect again.
2.reinstall the driver on the 32bit that doesnt print.
3.remove device then add printer again.
4.did a windows update.
5.check if same workgroup.
6.check if shared and with same location and can access both 3 desktop.
7.check the permissions.
8.restart the computer.
9.troubleshooting the printer.
10.make sure there's a network connection.
IP address doesn't have because its a USB port and not suported by the OS..3 desktop on a network...two 32bit win7 one win7 64bit.32bit and 64 bit can print on the dot matrix and laser printer but the other 32bit cannot print on the matrix but can print on the laser..when printing its just qeue with spooling..

The printer will not print in color when i use the word pad or Print Master software. It's own self test it prints color so I assume there is a setting I can't find.

Everything was going fine with setting up until it came to printers.I have 3 printers connected - Brother HL2030 laser, HP Photosmart D6160 and Epson Stylus photo R2400 - and NONE of them will work. All three came up with "your device is installed correctly etc etc" message. I can't print documents or even a test page. I've downloaded and installed Brother's W7 driver - zilch. HP site says you lose most of the functionality of toollbox etc but "the windows 7 default driver should work" - it doesn't. Likewise the Epson. Computer #2 Sucessfully installed networked printer and prints normally when Computer #1 is booted to XP. When computer #1 is booted to Windows 7 it automatically detects and installs networked printer once network was correctly setup but gets error message when trying to print.

Nov 28, 2009I have an HP Laserjet 2300 Series PCL6 printer connected directly to a Windows XP machine. On the same network, I have a new machine running Windows 7. I want to share the printer over the network.
Question: Am I wasting my time trying to get this to work?
FYI, Windows 7 sees the shared printer but when it attempts to connect in the "Add a Printer" dialog, it gives me a "No driver found" alert. I downloaded the (hopefully) appropriate Windows 7 printer driver (*) from the HP site and installed it on my Windows 7 machine, but when I try to connect, I still get "No driver found."
