Hp Universal Printer Driver Won't Print Colour
Jan 31, 2012I have a HP Color Laserjet 4650 printer and I am using a Windows 7 64bit laptop, the only driver available to me is HP Universal printer on the HP website.
But the issue I am having is I can't print colour and there is no option to select it with universal driver.
Universal Print Drivers In A Network With Mixed OSs
Mar 25, 2012I installed Win7 Pro 64bit on my new build and want the new build to have access my HP 6p over my (wired) LAN. The HP 6p is connected to a machine running 32 bit XP Pro. I want to print with the HP 6p from the Win 7 Pro 64bit machine (which will be dual booted with XP Pro 64bit as soon as that OS arrives in the mail), as well as couple of other XP pro 32bit machines, and one oldster still running 2000Pro, on the network. Based on maroxur's advice url.. I've downloaded the HP Universal print drivers (PCL5, PCL6 & PS, all 64bit). I think I will need to use the PS driver because I want to be able to print from Corel Word Perfect and Adobe Pro 7, but am not sure how to load the 64bit PS driver when I can't get the Win7 Pro machine to "see" the HP 6p printer share in the XP Pro machine it's attached to. Logistically, it would be difficult to attach the HP 6p to the Win7 Pro machine, but if that's the only way (or the best way) I could do it if I can find a good USB adapter for my parallel port.My network is a "hub & spoke", from a router, if that makes any difference.
Additionally, I've been reading about the MS/HP "Printer Isolation" protocols url... and think I should probably set up the Win7 Pro machine as the print server and then use the "Isolation mode" mode for all printers in the network, but am not sure. I added the "Print Management" snap in to the MMC, but am not really sure where to go from there.

Jul 12, 2012I recently purchased a Logitech USB headset, and it worked fine for the first few days I had it. I noticed, however, about two days after the purchase that it failed to work. My USB mouse worked fine, however, so I figured it was the headset. I discarded the headset and continued using the built-in microphone. Later, however, when I had to restart my system in order to install an update, my mouse stopped working as well (they work fine on other computers). I looked to see what the problem was in the Device Manager, and my Universal Serial Bus driver was apparently damaged.
As well as my Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and my Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller. I attempted to uninstall, reboot my system, and then let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers, but they always fail to do so in the middle of the installation process. I then attempted to do a system restore the day before both the Windows update and then before the problems with the USB headset, but the problem persisted. If all else fails, I might have to reformat, but I do not want to have to result to that extreme since I cannot salvage anything of value onto an external hard drive.
The PCI to USB Controller has the error: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Jun 14, 2012I use Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and have a Brother HL-1440 installed which has been working fine. I recently had to go out of town with my laptop that has the brother printer installed, but did not take my printer with me. A friend lended me an HP laser jet 1022n to use since I forgot my printer. Apparently this printer is so old that when I plug the usb cable into my laptop windows 7 doesnt not find a driver for the printer automatically. So, I tried downloading from the hp site and had issues installing the driver.
Lastly, I went to devices and printers > selected Add A Printer > Then add a local printer > Then I select a usb port to connect >I selected what I thought was the correct driver from the list and finished the set up, but when trying to print a test page it would not print. So, I tried adding a printer again and this time selected the correct printer driver with the usb port. So, I am able to print now but when I go devices and printers I notice that it shows the first wrong driver i installed showing as my brother printer. when I look at the properties from right clicking the printer there is a drop down that shows all the drivers i have installed and shows the driver for my brother printer, but when I look back at devices printers it seems to show my brother printer icon named the wrong print driver i installed, basically my brother printer shows with the wrong driver i first installed.
I'm worried that my brother printer wont work now. How can I delete un needed printer drivers that are on my laptop so that only the drivers i need are installed?

I want to be able to have the bootable USB install my programs as well. Jun 2, 2012So my 64bit fujitsu lifebook laptop has run into some crazy problems the last few days. Including freezing every several minutes for ages. BSOD a few times a day. Nothing along the taskbar opening. Task Manager making the whole screen turn black etc.I researched alot and tried many things, including chkdsk which just takes to long for it to be realistic (i judge it would take about 1 week to finish)That being said, i want to do a repair install of windows 7, but when i use my universal disc (which has 32bit and 64bit windows 7 on it) it returns the error after the compatibility check:
- You can't upgrade 64-bit Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. To upgrade, obtain a 64-bit version of the installation disc, or go online to see how to install Windows 7 and keep your files and settings.
- 32-bit Windows cannot be upgraded to a 64-bit version of Windows. To upgrade, obtain a 32-bit version of the Windows installation disc. is there a workaround for this? I know people can make a universal disc easily, so maybe there is a way to do this in reverse
Adobe PDF Print Driver?
Mar 1, 2010At places where I have worked (XP systems), one of the printer choices was "Adobe PDF". When you print to it, it creates a PDF file. I beleive this driver came from Adobe. Is this driver free?I would like to get this driver for my home Win 7 system but have not been able to find it. I have found similar drivers from other providers, but not Adobe. Some of these drivers require payment which leads me to believe Adobe does not give this away free.
