View 4 RepliesWhen I restored my Windows 7 64bit. After that I was unable to uninstall game what I had uninstalled long time ago. I get some kind error when I try, well here isn't any folder of that game on my HDD. But still my Windows 7 shows like I have that game still installed on PC, anyway to remove it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows 7 and when i plug the printer in , it just adds it to the "Unspecified" devices list.I downloaded the drivers , ran them in Vista compatibility mode , and it gets to this "EZ installer" part and then it just says something like make sure that the device is visible or something and then it repeats the same thing after like a half a minute and then it says that the operation has failed.I tried removing the "unspecified device" from device manager and then running the driver installation again but then windows tries automaticly to install it on its own but it fails saying that the driver was not found and at the same point the Ez installer freezes up.

I get the printer shared and connected. send a page to print. and the page shows up in the printer que and just sits there until i restart the computer. and have to restart each time i need to print. or till i turn off the printer and disconnect the usb and reconnect and power it back up
it prints fine from the computer the usb printer is connected too.
just wont print the shared laptops. on is vista and the other is windows seven connected to homeshare.
My 1020 won't install with the drivers for Vista x64 downloaded.
Anyone have any luck?
I've got installed windows 7 on both pc and netbook computers. On PC it's 7057 64bit and on netbook it's 7022 32bit.
On PC I installed the HP LaserJet 1020 USB printer and it works perfectly. Then I tried to share this printer to netbook. I did check the "Share this printer", entered the name of share "hp1020" also installed additional drivers for x86 and after that hp1020 is visible on netbook but when i want to connect/install this printer on board this message appears:
"Connect to Printer"
"Windows cannot connect to the printer. The print processor does not exist"
Completely don't know what to do? Sharing is working with folders.
I found the button "rint processor" in printers properties advanced tab and ZIMFPrint (IMF) is checked there.
I have three HP Model 1020 laser printers. Windows 7 does not like the printer and intermittently "loses" the printer such that I must uninstall and reinstall the printer to clear the spooler. Yes, I downloaded the latest drivers, and it still haunts me. Any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedRunning Windows 7 32-bit with a laserjet 1020, printer stopped working. Uninstalled - reinstalled with original install disk. Re-re-installed with updated drivers. Changed printer cable. Tried uninstalling then reinstalling a different laserjet 1020 (ie different printer - same model). would not print. If I try to print - the job goes to the queue, and sits there - because 'work offline' has somehow become checked. un-checking 'work off-line' causes an error running troubleshoot fixes the error by removing the job from the queue and re-checking 'work off-line'. in each case there are files windows designates as 'shockwave flash objects' (I'm guessing the designation is incorrect and these are actually the print jobs). Shutting down the spooler.

On vista machine printer is connected however when jobs are sent to the printer it sits in the queue until restart.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows Mobile Device Center doesn't work with Outlook 2010 if installed as 64 bit. Microsoft says to "fix" this by uninstalling Office 2010 and installing the 32 bit version! My question is are there any 3rd-party sync programs that will work with Windows 7 64 bit and Microsoft Office Outlook 64 bit and Windows Mobile 6.5 devices? I don't need to sync email but I do need to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks. And yes, I am aware that the iphone will sync with it! Silly Microsoft. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and never had any problem installing 64-bit programs.
Now, when a try to install any 64-bit programs it shows a message of incompatible version of the program with the running Windows, but my Windows 7 is 64 bits.
My computer got the BootMGR is missing problem, which I have had in the past which is not that big. I insert the Windows 7 64 Ultimate disk it starts up everything fine, press repair my computer and it finds the installation. But when I press on it and next it has an error pop up saying "This version of system recovery options is not conpattble with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that i compatible with this version of Windows." If I dont select anything but press next it allows me to look at the screen Im supposed to, but if I go to command prompt or click autmatically repair nothing will be saved or changed. This is the same disc I installed Windows with and repaired it several times. But I did have to reset BIOS earlier so this may have affected something.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had Windows XP on one of my laptops and installed Windows 7 on a seperate partition to see how it would cope. Well.... it doesn't cope at all.I have the dual boot screen when I start the laptop and the default is of course the last O/S system loaded. i.e. Windows 7.Unless I am quick enough to change the bootup, it tries to load Windows 7. And when I say tries, I mean 'tries'. Windows will load after about 20 minutes but is unusable. Nothing will respond. Nothing will function.I cannot change the boot sequence on XP. I have to 'be in' Windows 7 environment to edit the boot sequence, but I cannot get there. How do I either competely uninstall 7 or at the very least change the boot sequence without 'loading' Windows 7?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo basically, a couple days ago, I installed a new ASUS Mobo, Intel CPU and Vengence RAM. But when I tried to boot into Windows 7, it would act like it was loading just fine, and then get a BSOD so quick that I couldn't read it, and fail to boot (I do not have an OEM copy of Windows). With not many options, I decided to reinstall Windows to fix my problem. And in that install screen, it listed all of my HDDs, without letters. I was like "uh-oh, which one is it?" So, I pick one, and it's the wrong one. But, instead of removing Windows from what was my D drive and now is my C drive, I'd like to just remove Windows 7 (the still corrupted one) from my now D drive. Is that making any sense? lol So anyway, I know that you can't just "uninstall windows", and I've read about just deleting the file folders... but that I have to give myself permissions to do it. Of course, I can't seem to do that. I have several to choose from, including "trustedinstaller" "creatorowner" "System" "Administrators" nothing seems to work. They even have full access and permission, and when I try to delete the Windows folder, it says "you must have permission to continue" I click okay, it continues, and then says it can't delete the folder. When I try to give permission to one of those names, it denies access for the Windows folder.Oh, also, formatting is really out of the question, as this D drive has all my precious files on it that I can't lose. But, I do have enough space to maybe partition it, copy it all over, and then format the windows partition?
