View 3 RepliesI am trying to completely wipe my system and reinstall windows, only I don't have the CD. I've looked it up, and it seems relatively straight forward, I just need to save the iso file for the version of windows I'm using to a flash drive and run that to reinstall. The problem is I am running (and only have a key for) Windows 7 enterprise (Version 6.1 Build 7600) 32 bit, and the only downloadable iso file I can find for the enterprise version is the 90 day trial. I don't want the trial though, I want the entire version. where I can find an iso file for enterprise that's the full version, not trial? Or am I supposed to download the trial and put my key in somehow making it a full version?
edit: I should add that I want to reformat the computer (I don't have anything I want to save, want to put it back to factory standards), not just reinstall windows.
I bought a new computer with a trial version of office 2010 installed but not activated. I all ready have 2007 and I installed it. Will I have a problem if I uninstall the trial version (2010)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 questions, I have a windows 7 enterprise in 90 days trial that's about to expire in 3 weeks, I'm not really sure what's best to do next as this is my first time to have a trial period with an OS. now my questions are:
1. should I install a new windows 7 version (home, professional, or whatever) and if I do that do will I still have my files, settings etc. on my computer?
2. is there an easy way to just continue with my windows 7 enterprise like I'll just enter a product key or something or do I really need to purchase a new one?
i have an asus laptop when i got it it had windows 7 32 bit it ran great bet computer ive ever owned but it took a fall and the harddrive broke i got a new one and had to rebuy windows everyone told me to get 64 bit so i did but now my usbs are not working and my speakers dont work same with videos to oh and during start up it lags real bad and can take almost 20 min to start but some times it takes only seconds ive looked at the main drivers they are all in 32 bit and ive done all the updates in the world for it but it still dont work i want to go back to 32 to see if i can get it running
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 64-bit installation disc that I used to install Windows 7 with on my laptop. I am planning on installing Windows 7 on VMWare player with the same 64-bit disc, but as a trial (since my main key is used on the main host/laptop). Will I be able to just run the 30-day trial on VMWare for testing purposes? Also, once the trial ends, can I just delete the virtual machine and make a new windows 7 VM, setting up a 30-day trial again?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy friend upgraded my laptop for me, from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate, when i go to computer>properties there is no sign of Windows Activation at the bottom, the last thing on the list is the WORKGROUP. I've used 2 programs i found online and they both told me my key/serial number for my laptop and they both said the same key/serial, so i'm guessing i have the full version and not a trial, but it just isnt displayed in the properties for some reason.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI loaded WIN7 Home Premium onto a HP Notebook with 2 gig RAM, 60 gig HDD, and 1.67 Intel CPU. Not running well and want to revert back to XP which is fine for our use. In trying to make room on HDD, I deleted windows.old file. So my question is how do I reformat HDD and get back to clean machine without anything loaded and then load XP. Tried to install with XP disc but it would not let me. have Win7 on desktop and love it but it has the horsepower to run it like it should be run.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Win 7/64 Pro and need to upgrade to Enterprise. The MSFT sites are extreemly slow downloading the trial version. Finally downloaded a Image file but it states that it is missing files on installation. Tries many times to download the trial from MSFT but at their upload rate it would take a month to get it. Any suggestions on a alternet site to get the Trial or a actual disk image that works? I have the activation code for 10 machines and I need to get three of them up ASAP.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm considering doing a free trial of Windows 7 on a system that currently dual boots XP 32 bit and XP 64 bit. I know that adding Windows 7 will add or replace NTLDR (and BOOT.INI?).
My C partition is free of any other software other than just the boot files, is there a way to back this up before installing Windows 7 to make undoing this easier?
If not, if I boot from XP cd-rom and go into recover mode, will fixboot (and fixmbr if needed) restore the boot process to XP style or will I need to do more?

I aquired a PC a while back from Amazon which came with a trial version of Win7 in German preinstalled (I installed a full version of Win7 onto it so I did not encounter this problem). The question is if someone wanted to upgrade the trial version to a full version would you be offered the choice of changing the language?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI made the naive mistake of trying to upgrade from a Biostar TH67+ MB to a MSI Z77A-GD65 MB using my existing Windows install. After I installed the new MB and the new drivers within Win 7 Pro 64 bit, the machine wouldn't boot. So I reverted to the Biostar MB and it still won't boot. I have tried Safe Mode (which just hangs) and I have run Startup Repair several times. How I can further troubleshoot/repair the boot?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSystem - Mac w/Lion running Parallels so I can run Windows 7 software Purchased already - Windows 7 Home Premium full retail version My old Windows machine was dying and my family wanted to move this last family member PC holdout over to Mac. This is my first experience with Mac. My grown son wanted to make it as easy for me as possible, so he loaded a trial version of Windows 7 on the new Mac and got everything set up in parallels for me. The idea was that after I transferred all my files over to the new machine I could just move the activation over to the new machine and we would trash the ancient PC. I was all set last night to officially activate the trial version when I discovered that the new machine's trial version is Windows 7 Professional, not Windows 7 Home Premium. What I need to find out is if I purchase the retail Windows 7 Professional Upgrade version, could I simply enter that product key and not have to uninstall and reinstall now that I have the trail version for pro all nice and settled. I really do not want to have to uninstall, especially with the added complication of Parallels, install Home and then upgrade. I want 'KISS' and simply enter the product key for the professional upgrade and just keep on working with my set up system. Will that work?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a 7 series samsung laptop, I can make my own "custom" power plan, or even set it on balanced or anything, and when i shut computer down(doing it properly), and start it up, the power plan is back on "Samsung Eco Mode". I'm not sure if THIS eco mode is what is then turning off the network card, but also when i start, the internet is connected for about 5 seconds, then disconnected....adding another piece to the puzzle there is a program installed from the factory called "Easy Settings" and when i open that, network card is in "off" position, i turn it on and instantly have internet again. This easy settings program is on my list of programs i can uninstall, but im not sure if its whats reverting settings or not, getting to be verrry annoyed with opening 6 menus everytime i start-up to get everything the way i want it again. actually also i have heard these samsung laptops come w.lots of fluff programs that arent needed, if anyone knows MORE of these i can uninstall thatd be amazing.
