Windows 7 Trial Version Upgrade And Language Change?
Jun 17, 2011
I aquired a PC a while back from Amazon which came with a trial version of Win7 in German preinstalled (I installed a full version of Win7 onto it so I did not encounter this problem). The question is if someone wanted to upgrade the trial version to a full version would you be offered the choice of changing the language?
System - Mac w/Lion running Parallels so I can run Windows 7 software Purchased already - Windows 7 Home Premium full retail version My old Windows machine was dying and my family wanted to move this last family member PC holdout over to Mac. This is my first experience with Mac. My grown son wanted to make it as easy for me as possible, so he loaded a trial version of Windows 7 on the new Mac and got everything set up in parallels for me. The idea was that after I transferred all my files over to the new machine I could just move the activation over to the new machine and we would trash the ancient PC. I was all set last night to officially activate the trial version when I discovered that the new machine's trial version is Windows 7 Professional, not Windows 7 Home Premium. What I need to find out is if I purchase the retail Windows 7 Professional Upgrade version, could I simply enter that product key and not have to uninstall and reinstall now that I have the trail version for pro all nice and settled. I really do not want to have to uninstall, especially with the added complication of Parallels, install Home and then upgrade. I want 'KISS' and simply enter the product key for the professional upgrade and just keep on working with my set up system. Will that work?
I purchased a laptop loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium edition that needs an upgrade to Spanish. I downloaded the x84 Spanish Ultimate edition but I am unsure how to proceed to minimize any mishap.
My friend upgraded my laptop for me, from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate, when i go to computer>properties there is no sign of Windows Activation at the bottom, the last thing on the list is the WORKGROUP. I've used 2 programs i found online and they both told me my key/serial number for my laptop and they both said the same key/serial, so i'm guessing i have the full version and not a trial, but it just isnt displayed in the properties for some reason.
My computer has currently Vista 32 home premium and found recently unknown directory on c:. That directory was locked when I tried to remove manually, and computer turned off if I tried to unlock using unlocker. The OS on my computer is OEM, I don't have CD, and I decided to install window 7 trial version until it comes on market. Can you tell me where can I get the trial version and can I do clean install with trial version?
I use MS Office 2003 on Windows 7 (I hate Office 2007) on a computer I bought a couple of years ago. The computer came with a trial version of MS Office Home and Student Version 2007, which I never used (didn't actually know it was there as it doesn't show up on start all programs). The other day I opened an attachment that contained MS Word 2007 docs (didn't know they were this version) and now every time I go to open an existing Office document (any), the trial version pops up trying to install. I can get to my document after closing a bunch of boxes and it will be in 2003. However, today after closing the boxes the document came up in "compatibility mode" which was 2007. I hate 2007 and want only 2003.
So I installed a beta version of W7 Ultimate and it's displaying a watermark that says "this is not a legit version". I never had a legitimate product key.I want to purchase a real version and upgrade appropriately. Can I purchase an Upgrade license to Windows 7 Ultimate or do I have to purchase a Full version? Also, what if I wanted to install Windows 7 Home Edition instead of the Ultimate version. If I did this, I assume I would have to install the Full version correct?
I need to know if I can use a clean install disk for Windows 7 Ultimate to upgrade from Vista or if I have to use an Upgrade version?
I'm leaning towards buying the clean install disk so that if I should loose the hard drive at some future point I could just clean install Win 7 Ultimate from the disk without having to first install Vista and then upgrade.
Regardless of which type I purchase, am I better off to buy the OEM disk from the machine manufacturer (Toshiba) or just purchase any OEM disk? Of course, if I want Microsoft support then I need to purchase retail disks.
I have bought a upgrade version win 7 ulimate 32 bit, but i want to install a 64 bit one. So can i download a full version 64 bit, and use the license key of upgrade version? Will WAG block it?
I have upgrade my computer (E6750 to i5 750, 3G DDR2 to 4G DDR3) and I am thinking about upgrading to 7 64bit. Currently I have a dual boot system with XP Home 32 and Vista Home Premium 32. I want to upgrade the Vista to Window 7 64 and leave the XP there.
I am wondering can I but the upgrade version for the job?
I wish to change the language of windows 7 from English to Polish, so that everything will be in polish language. do i have to get windows 7 in polish or i can do the changes in the english version?
I have bought a TOSHIBA laptop in Austria, the language's settings are in German, and now that i want to turn it to english, i can't find the solution because i have windows seven home premium 64 bits.Is there any solution or tricks to that problem please without buying another windows licence, i can't use it now because i have no idea about the language.

After fixing any issues then i'd need to change the lanuage back.
I was stupid enough to purchase a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate full version for my computer from someone on Craigslist. This copy was brand new and sealed. I thought it was legit. I completed wiped my computer clean and installed the software. Everything went fine - until after about a month I started getting this message saying "Must Activate Computer." After talking to Microsoft, this software was legit, but it is something called a developer's copy and it blocked my activation code because I wasn't using certain features because I wasn't supposed to have a copy like this. Of course I tried contacting the person - who is now ignoring all my e-mails. In any event...I want to go purchase a legit version from a store but am not sure what I need. I can currently use my computer, but it is operating illegally from the Windows 7 Ultimate that was installed. I do not need ultimate...home premium is fine.
1) Do I need an upgrade version or a full version?
2) What can I do with this developer's copy of Ultimate? Can I sell it anywhere to someone who is allowed to use it? I"d like to get something for it to help pay for the new one.
i would like to know how can i completly change my windows 7 language and not only keyboard language for example saying υπολογιστης (greek) than computer than control panel and all messages errors warnings all in greek.how can i do that?
My Windows 7 ultimate was instaled in portuguese (my fist language) but I would like to change it to another language that I am actualy studing right now.Said that I would like to know where I can find the language pack I want and how I can install it. Icelandic is my fist choice, but If not availble, I will try french (with I am prety sure that are availble). To finish I would like to know if thouse language pack change every bit of Windows 7 or only the menus.
I need to know how to change the language of a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 without formating. This is because I am interested in buying an ACER Aspire Predator G3610 from Germany which would obviously come with german windows. I would have bought it from UK if it were not for the fact that all UK ACER Predator come with older and lower specs than the german ones.
In fact an ACER Aspire Predator G3610 from Germany will have the new generation i7 2600 sandy bridge cpu, 16GB ram, Nvidia GTX560Ti graphic card, etc while those in the UK are still using the older i7 CPU, have fewer ram and cost much more.
I bought a Win 7 when I was in France and installed it but despite setting the local language in English (Regional and Language Options) during installation, the entire admin and desktop remains in English. How can I switch the whole win 7 system in English language?
