Line In Record With Simultaneously Playback?
Oct 14, 2012I'm trying to record my cell phone messages onto my computer as mp3's. All the audio capture software i've found will do this but, not at the same time 'play' the line in audio (which i need to hear how to control my voice mail system).I can't use a splitter on the audio as it's a crappy old phone and the output is pretty low as-is.

Feb 7, 2013I have a Windows 8 laptop. Earlier today I uninstalled AVG free. I declined to restart, deciding I'd restart later. I then installed Avast Antivirus - and when I tried to run Avast, everything froze, and I had to turn the laptop off. When I logged back in to windows, I'm met just the mouse on a black screen. If I log into safe mode, there's the outline of my desktop, and I can run some programs, but most files are inaccessible & I can't get online, the windows taskbar won't open etc, and after a while a blue screen with text appears and the computer restarts.I can't think of any cause other than the antivirus installation. My question is, can you think of any way to undo this without just wiping the computer? I've managed to burn some personal files to a DVD but would still prefer not to go back to square one.

Feb 28, 2011i have a USB Internet Connection and a WI-FI connection. i want to use both of them simultaneously. i know i can't stack their download and upload speed, but atleast i can download 2 files at the same time without having one internet connection doing all the burden. i think it's called load balancing or whatsoever. and it's built into windows 7? but whenever i try to connect the USB internet connection, my WI-FI suddenly goes "No internet connection". but it is still connected.

Nov 17, 2012I have a bit of a canundrum. I have 2 mobile broadband connections, one for my computer and one for my iPhone. It's basically the same subscription over here. I live a bit off the grid so I can't get any DSL connection unfortunately.So they both have a limited download rate and my 10 gigs each month dries up pretty fast, and then I'm left with a 15kb/s connection on both devices. Now I've used my iPhone as a wifi router to access it and download through that connection on my pc, meanwhile the USB dongle 3g connection has been there and I've just assumed that they work together to bring me information, but obviously that doesn't happen. Now I realize this won't do a lot, but over here it's a doubling in bandwidth, and from 15 to 30 kb/s is quite a jump.

Sep 19, 2010I have Windows 7 and have successfully recorded sound clips using the Accessories Sound Recorder. Next time I recorded a sound I carelessly plugged the mic into the earphone socket. Naturally I was unable to play back a previously recorded sound so I fiddled with the settings (I'm descended from a long line of idiots). Then the penny dropped and I plugged the mic into the correct socket, now because of my fiddling I can't record clips that will play back. I can play back my earlier clips.

Cannot Record Some Recorded TV To DVD
May 5, 2009I cannot record some of my Recorded TV content to DVD as I get an 'Unsupported File Type' error when trying to do so in Media Center. But other Recorded TV shows burn fine without this error.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue and know why this is happening?

Mar 4, 2011i'm using vlc to record a part of my favorite videos so i can upload them on Internet. there's a small problem, when i try to record hd videos i get a crappy quality, however the original video has a very good quality, consider the following video:
the original video, the one that i record this part from is having a very good quality (hd 720p), it's in mkv format and i guess it's x264. why do i get this quality?
i did the same thing with a non-hd video and it worked better: how can i record with the best quality? at least a quality as same as the original one?

I also have a 500Gb HHD that i install most of my game on.The program i use to record call "Fraps" i install it on the SSD drive, and the game on the HHD drive.I try to record a game play while i play and my FPS went from 60fps to 20 or so, which make it kinda spike lag a bit. The video file i save on the HHD drive, but i notice when i save it to the SSD drive is recored smoothly. I only have 112Gb that not alot for recording?
