View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to do a clean install of Win 7 Pro on a new Dell XPS. My laptop came with a 32gb mSATA drive and I want to keep the Intel Smart Reponse activated. Whenever I try to do a clean install with the SATA operation set to "Intel Smart Reponse" in the BIOS, it does not find any disks to install the software too. When I try to load a driver for the drivers, it says no signed drivers were found. I was able to install the Win 7 Pro with the sata operation set to AHCI, but that won't let me enable smart response.
View 25 Replies View RelatedAfter completing the Windows 7 64 bit install, the screen goes black with a white blinking cursor. After rebooting the screen freezes at the Starting Windows screen which should proceed with the configuration of the Windows 7 install (select computer & user name, etc.) Before the Starting Windows screen there is the following message: Boot from AHCI CD-ROM or something similar. This was not present when XP was running successfully. Throughout this process I ran into a BSOD which mentioned iaStorV.sys which apparently relates to the Intel Matrix Storage Manager as explained here.
Action Taken:
-I tried repairing the windows installation using the Windows 7 DVD, but it could not find anything.
-I tried booting into safe mode, but it said Windows needs to install first.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

i'm trying to update my intel hd graphics driver with no success as of yet. i've used drivermax to update and when the driver tries to install the screen goes black. i tried installing the drivers manually from intel's website and i kept getting error messages saying the driver was not validated for this computer and that i needed drivers from the manufacturers website. i tried that as well and still got the same message stating that the drivers were not validated for this computer. so i'm now in a bind. obviously something's up when even the vga driver downloaded from asus' website will not install.

- From a driver download directly from the Acer Website.
- From Windows Update.
I have installed/uninstalled and I've ran out of ideas. Don't know what to do. Each time I try to do something on device manager there's the yellow triangle with the display driver.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSee, I have a AM3+ motherboard, and currently a FX 6200 clocked at 4.2GHz, thing is, I feel when I try to play say BF3 on a 32 man server, My pc run's smooth, yet come to a 64 man server, My PC feels sluggish and well fails. Now I know Its going to effect my FPS and CPU usage with what settings in game am I running, well Ultra I don't use I mainly use a mix of medium and high, to Me its all about performance before eye candy, but BF3 seems to have no performance boost the lower I turn the settings down, I mean with one card I get 98-99% usage but in SLI I get 50% on each card with v sync disabled and on ultra I have even tried with settings on low and enabling v sync, lol that is just worse! I have been told the higher the settings, the higher the usage, and my cpu seems to be lagging behind.I know there is things to take into consideration like the Ram, Graphics, Hard drives, Lag ect, But I'm running two GTX 480's, 2 Velociraptor Hdd, 16GB Corsair Dominator Ram, a Corsair HX 1050w psu and Windows 8.Come January I'm planning a upgrade, but what My dilemma is should I move to Intel has I feel my issue is a major bottleneck with the 480's and my CPU, I don't want to buy a 200 cpu (8350) and a few months down the line have to invest in a Intel because the Pile driver has failed like the Bulldozer did! Or just upgrade to a Intel i5 or i7, I mainly game but do video work as well, even considering getting a i7 2600k or 2700k,

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung QX410-J01 in November. When I first bought it is was great. It ran really fast and smooth and had no problems at all. But during the past few months I have downloaded a bunch of crap wear such as different toolbars, firefox add-ons, miscellaneous programs etc and my system speed is VERY slow now. Programs open slowly, I get errors that I did not used to get etc. What should I do? Someone suggested "Wiping" my system, but I have no idea how to do that and/or if it is necessary. I have run a couple of registry cleaners and also uninstalled several of the programs I downloaded.
