How To Create The Second Taskbar And Put It To Left
Oct 15, 2011
install the second taskbar and put it on the left or top side of the desktop the way it can be done with Win XP? It's possible to create a new taskbar but if you want to move it, it moves together with the Main taskbar.
Currently when moving the taskbar to the left side, the thinnest you can make it is to have 2 system icons side by side on the bottom. I'm trying to get the taskbar to have show only 1 system icon. I've discovered through trial and error a way to have this happen but it isn't a permanent fix. Here are the steps:1.) Make the taskbar as thin as it will go normally.2.) Lock the taskbar, turn on auto-hide, and turn on small icons3.) Open up a full screen game. (I've only had it work with War3-Frozen Throne and Starcraft. Didn't work with CS:S
Well, on the lower left side of the taskbar, there are icon that make it convenient for you to go in for example "Internet explorer"... How do I customize the icon that appear here? I would like a "desktop page" icon and a "my document" icon to appear here.
I saw my someone using windows 7 and he got two taskbar one below (default) and another one on the top (customized). Now i got my Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit and want to do the same but i found nowhere to get the new taskbar on the top of windows desktop screen.
My new Windows 7 laptop came without shortcuts to IE on either the desktop or the taskbar. I can't find the IE execute file so I can create my own. Along the same path, how to I create the "show the desktop" icon on the taskbar?
Is there a method/hack or a 3rd-party program that allows the user to hide the taskbar by dragging its top border line downwards, after un-locking the taskbar? I remember I could do that under Win9x.
So about a month ago I restarted my computer and when it came back on all my programs pinned to my task bar and everything that was in my start menu was gone. From there I could not unlock the taskbar and nothing would pin in either the start menu or taskbar. I researched everywhere about it. I tried unlocking the taskbar in properties and registry with no luck. I finally found some posts about how my user profile was corrupt and from there I went on and made a new profile and copied everything and BOOM it all worked fine now. Well today it happened AGAIN! I restarted my computer and everything disappeared. So I think it is still a corrupt profile, but this is the second time it has happened.
I have a client that has laptop with windows 7 Pro. He had a faulty network card, so I have added a new, usb network card. That said, He can not pin anything to taskbar or start menu. I cleared both folders of shortcuts(567 of them) but to no avail. He also has no options under his desktop Context menu for New. He is also using a roaming profile, of which I will disable next time I am there. I have a feeling that might be the issue. I did scour the internet trying all the usual suggestions, but do vaguely remember something about an entry in cache somewhere that if it is too big or corrupt, it could cause this behavior. I am unable to find that post anywhere now.I mention the network card because one post had taskbar issues until he disabled his faulty network card. I have disabled the faulty network card.
I had a program installed called Spiral Knights, and I pinned the icon onto the taskbar so I could quickly launch it. When I was done playing it for good, I uninstalled it and it looked like the icon was off the taskbar, but it wasn't. When I tried to put another program onto the taskbar, called minecraft_server.jar, it pinned to the Spiral Knights icon, even though SK isn't installed anymore. Wherever I try to put the minecraft_server.jar onto the taskbar, the SK program is still there, and it says if I want to pin the minecraft_server.jar onto SK.

How could I copy the Win 7 OS into an ISO image on one or more DVDs? 6.1 What size is Windows 7 Home Premium OS? 6.2 Which partition does Windows 7 store the OS in?a. "Recovery" ? b. FAT32 ? how to create the ISO image, how to install it, and how to make sure that the "image" could be used to fo make a backup of my HDDs and also how to use the backup to fix the computer should a fatal crash prevented from booting up Windows 7? Yesterday, the task bar and Start button mysteriously disappeared.I've also found that the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" windowdoesn't come up. There are two places to click on in Control Panelthat should bring up this window, but it doesn't. The Control Panelborder changes color as if something is starting to happen, but thennothing happens, possibly indicating that some program starts to runbut then finds something wrong and exits. I didn't see anythinginteresting in the error logs. The desktop icons appear normally. The problem exists only when logging onto my son's account. When Ilog on as administrator, the task bar and Start button appearnormally. The usual tricks don't work: Ctrl+ESC, or bringing up Task Manager andtrying to rerun explorer.exe. I tried sfc to check for corruptedfiles, but none turned up. I ran an AVG scan and it did find one fileit considered a threat, which it removed, but that didn't solve theproblem.
I found a web site that referred to the registrykeyHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorerwhich has a NoSetTaskbar value that can be used to disable the"Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window. On the administratorlogin, the Explorer subkey is there all right, but doesn't haveNoSetTaskbar. (It does have NoDriveTypeAutoRun.) But when I log ontomy son's account, the Policies key had no subkeys at all. I triedadding an Explorer subkey without adding any values, but this didn'tsolve the problem. I haven't yet tried adding a NoDriveTypeAutoRunvalue, but since this seems to pertain to AutoPlay it didn't seemrelevant to this problem.Any thoughts as to what might be going on or what might fix it?
I just got a brand new HP Elitebook 8650w and installed Windows 7 Professional x64. I've installed all drivers, I've turned Sticky Keys off, I'm using Windows Classic theme, I've tried the on screen keyboard to see if Windows tabbing appears when I press ALT + TAB and it does. But the left ALT key on my keyboard is not reacting. I can use CTRL+ALT GR+DEL to access Task Manager, but not CTRL+ALT+DEL.It just won't work.I've also tried to use an extern USB keyboard, and with that ALT+TAB works fine.
I just purchased a new puter with windows 7. However the left side of the screen is cut off and I can't get to the windows there. How do i change the size or resolution of the home page..?
When I right-click mouse at (for example) desktop the menu open left of cursor and all the submenus open also to the left. Usually all menus open right unless there is screen edge to prevent that. This problem is in all the programs too, like all menus you could imagine now opens to the left.
after short check the 2 folders that take most of the place which is couple of GB'S are C:UserseliAppData oaming and the second is C:UserseliAppDataLocal this is how looks the content of folder "local"
and this is how looks the content of folder "roaming" can i kick those folder off without any harm be done?
I came home and set up a dual monitor for my computer, mainly so I can still do things on the 2nd monitor whilst playing a game. Half way through trying to figure out how I could get things where I wanted them my left ALT key decided to stop allowing me to alt+tab. If I hold it down it gives me the little window that allows me to switch between my programs, but it won't actually go to them it just stays stuck on that selector. Makes no sense to me due to if the ALT key was dead I wouldn't be able to get half way through alt+tabbing correct?Anyways, it also stopped working as my push-to-talk on my Teamspeak 3 Client. Again, thought maybe the key was bad BUT it still works as a push-to-talk on my Mumble client.
I just installed a new HD and didn't think to take the old one out first. I installed windows 7 enterprise 64 bit and after installation could boot to either HD.When I removed the old HD, the new one would not boot giving "Disk Boot Failure" I have tried to repair the boot with a repair disk but no success. Maybe hook old drive up and boot to the new drive and copy the boot files from the old drive to the new one?
The pc showing in my 'spec' profile is a new build, its been running great for about a week.I opened it up to drop in another 4 Gig of RAM and a Light (tiny little blue tube thing, just to give it a nice glow) and as far as i knew all was great. It was on last night, when i got up this morning all was still great. then at some point this after noon it had reset and stuck in the 'loading OS' screen saying BOOT (something) not found'.I immediately turned off the PC, opened it up and checked all was well, it was, so, i turned it back on. all was fine (apart from the usual 'windows did not shut-down correctly screen) so far its not done this while ive been sitting using it then later today i was streaming a TV show over to my playstation (PS3 media server) and about 20 mins in poof, the PC was resetting. It did it twice more.I have since removed the extra RAM I added and with or without it i am still having this strange issue. as it the only clue i had was the hard drive i have turned off the option to 'put hard drive to sleep after X mins' in POWER options.
Sometimes my left click just randomly stops working. It happens on my portable and laptop. The right click will still work. It only happens when Im on the internet. If I close out of the net and go back on then the right click will work for a little bit then stop working again. Does anyone know whats going on?
Last week, I made a fresh installation of a Windows 7 x64 copy on my PC. I haven't touched it ever since until today. Installed some games, like AC Revelations. When I tried playing it, I found that the Up+Left Arrow key combination on the keyboard was not working and when I pressed them, the speaker gave out beeps just like when you press so many keys at once. All other combos works perfect but the up+left doesn't work not only in-game, but also outside games for general use. Whenever I press the keys, continuous beeps are being heard. I tried restarting my system and unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard. It's not working, and the problem's still there. I tried downloading KeyboardTest program and when I press the combo, it's not appearing and the beeps starts.
recently I've got an issue with my comp, my mouse left button becomes a right click and right button stays the same, I've searched for some solutions but have found nothing so far. I've reformatted my PC twice and the problem still persist, my mouse is Armaggeddon's Alien G9, I've tried it on another PC and it works fine, even after reformatting my PC the mouse left click would cease to work and would Right Click.I've checked in the Control panel to make sure that the primary keys haven't been switched!
P.S: Recently I've been playing World Of Warcraft, and is wondering if AddOns could be the cause, but this have been never heard of as the problem just appeared recently, but I've been playing for a month already, it appeared like 3 days ago?
