I am opening my lancard and opening properties but it is coming blurr on the screen means it is not showing properties as a link tell what i do for it.I want to access internet but this problem is persisting.
View 2 RepliesThis afternoon I was downloading a windows update, for my 4850 HD and was doing some CS4 fun while at it. Suddenly my screen resolution decreased to something really low and the screen went black. Then I got that blinking underline on the top left, it's like the computer was booting up. Then the monitor refreshed and all I got was my start menu orb and the cursor. Then the cursor stopped moving and the PC crashed. First time since I bought it!
So I hit the reset button on the box and a waited for the boot. For my surprise the video-card was working perfectly. Tested my games. Aero and HD Movies? No problem! I had no Internet though. Nothing. The Lan Card is integrated, if you want to know. It blinks and it is detected by the device manager. (With a "!" though...) I tried changing the router cable, bla bla bla, nothing. Apparently it's not from my ISP, cuz I am right now posting this with my wireless.
The drivers suck. The realtek website is just... amazing. I download at less than a 2KBPS and the download gets interrupted from time to time. THAT'S 2 HRS FOR A LOUSY 50 MB. Downloading now. I also tried the CD that came with my motherboard, but the LAN drivers are only for Vista, I get an error when installing on my 7600 x64. I tried EVERYTHING, but with no avail. Lat thing I saw is that the ATI driver was not really installed, seeing it is still in the list of opinional updates. I also noticed a new addition.
I'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere.
The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
just completed a first-time new Windows 7 PC build. Successful installation of Windows 7 Pro on WD 600GB 10000 system drive. Went back and installed 4 additional HDD. (2) WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM and (2) WD Caviar 7200 500GB HDD from XP system that were used for storage.
BIOS sees all HDDs, but are not viewable in Disk Management.

However, only three are visible in Disk Management. Missing (1) WD 500GB (previously used on WinXP system) and (1) new WD 1T.
I was using my desktop like normal then an error came up saying that there was a hdd failure, and that i needed to scan for errors. all my files disappeared and only this error would come up. There would be hundreds of the same msg spamed on my screen. I scaned my hdd for errors using my Bios/Advanced options and no errors came up. I decided to take out the hdd and put it into my External Hdd bay to hook up to my laptop to extract the data off it.When i hooked it up to my laptop it showed up empty. I went into folder options and clicked on show hidden files and folders. Everything came up but it was grey/transparent. I then copied the files to another hdd for backup.
Then i formatted the hdd and put on a fresh new OS. Id like to mention i have a second internal drive that i use for backups but it wasnt backed up recently when this issue happen so i had to take out the main drive and use it as an external to back up onto another external drive.so then when i click on my second internal drive after the reinstall of the new OS it shows empty i have to go in and show hidden files and folders.. now they show again transparent. also i plug in my external to get the recent back up and all those files are still transparent when i move them to my desktop that is freshly OS installed they are still grey/transparent and i have to keep the show hidden files and folders to view them.. so its all my music, pics, documents etc they are all greyed out..i tried to copy my backup IE favs into my new IE browser and they wont show up because they are hiden it shows it copied to the favs folder but in ie i cannot view them if that makes any sense.
I have Windows 7 Home premium. All of a sudden tonight my taskbar hides when I do anything else; web, apps, etc. It is not set to "auto-hide." What can I do to get it to stay visible all the time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay I'm SO close to having this fixed now... Long story short, my SSD got corrupted so I reformatted it and now I'm trying to reinstall windows on it. So I reformatted the SSD and it shows up fine now in disk management and My Computer, but when I go to install windows on it, it won't show up in the Install Windows screen. I went into disk management and made sure it showed up as "Active, primary partition" which was fine. But it still doesn't show up as an install option? I hate being this close and not being able to just install windows now. I already tried running it in AHCI and RAID and nothing works.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI started out thinking it was only an IE issue, but now I know I have something else going on. In applications using some unknown software, pictures do not display. This includes internet explorer and some other software also(H&R Block tax software for example). Strangely, I downloaded Chrome after I had the issue and it works flawlessly. The problem appears to be a windows based issue not an Internet Explorer issue. I have chased firewalls, anti virus software and checked boxes and nothing seems to be wrong.

But xp shows them both with no problems and I didn't even have to install my driver for it! Not sure if ram has anything to do with this but I have 3.25gb ram but both windows 7 and xp only show 2gb I'm thinking that might have to do with that 1.25gb are not of the same as the 2 1gb sticks.
ever since I got a new Graphics Card I've been experiencing newer and newer problems. Whenever I boot up, it shows a blue HP sign (normal) but then when it gets to the "Starting Windows" screen, I can't see it. My monitor says "Change Resolution to 1280x1024" on a tiny white board. Same with Windows Error Recovery, I had to restart my PC a few times when I got a blackout during Sandy due to me accidently choosing Safe Mode. It hasn't been such a nuisance until now and I will get a new monitor soon, I just want to know if I can cure this before I get it. The monitor is HPvs17c (17 inch LCD), running Windows 7

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to overwrite Win7 32-bit with Win7 64-bit. When I run Win7 install it does not find my two HDDs (they are RAID-1). When I look in my Device Manager (before starting the install process) under "Disk Drives" it only shows "GRAID SCSI disk device" and some other drives that are not hard drives. It does not show two HDDs. The BIOS shows both drives and shows a GRAID-1 configuration. I am not sure what to do next to get Win7 to either find the HDDs to write the new Win7 to or do something with the "GRAID SCSI disk device." I bought this machine like this and am not familiar with how to set these things up: I am not an expert.

Doesn't work in Skype, TS3, and it doesn't even pick it up in Recording Devices. It's the kind of headset where it's not a USB; it's got a plug for the mic and another for the headphones. They're both plugged in firmly, and I've updated my audio thing which is IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. My laptop is a HP Pavilion g6-1241sa Notebook PC. I've also gone into Recording Devices and checked for any disabled mics, but the one in my headset isn't there. And even though my headset is set as the Default Communication Device, the mic doesn't get picked up under Recording Devices. Push to Talk is also not on. The headset is also shown only under Playback Devices.

I can open web pages using this package but when I save them and go into Windows Explorer they don't show. I have the option set to show hidden files so that isn't the answer. I need to see them in Explorer as I want to amend them then copy them to a different folder.
