I have VLC version 2.0.4, so I'm up to date, but cannot play blu rays. I know this version can , but I cannot for some reason. I do use powerdvd to play blu rays, but I realized that if I paused them for close to 10 mins, it'll stop, then an error message will appear saying that it won't play. I want to use VLC as a alternative way to play BDs. I heard about dl-ing a cfg file and a dll file that involves going to appdata; but I wanted to ask around before I screw around in my VLC folder(s).
I have a Pioneer BDC-207DBK BD-ROM drive and I cannot play Blu Rays. I have bought Roxio CinePlayer and downloaded a trial version of PowerDVD and neither of them will play the disc. Windows recognises the disc but when I double click it in My Computerit doesnt play it and I can only view the files on the disc
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
i brought a dvd i put that on my sony DAV-DZ340K dvd player but it can't playable on that but it's plays on onida dvd player please help me how can i play it on DAV-DZ340K.
I bought some new dvd's recently, and WMP fails to play them. The system says my device is not signed.....but it works fine some of the time.Should i maybe remove, then reinstall my DVD/RW?
I selected my Line 6 soundcard, and eversince, with or without (Realtek), Line 6 **** uninstalled, K-Lite codec, Windows 7 codec pack..... it doesnt matter, because eversince WMP refuses my .MP3's.Some files play wihtout sound, some give an error like 'theres a problem playing these files'.
I installed a Line 6 soundcard, now whether I have it selected or not (Realtek) it refuses .mp3 files; sometimes there's just no sound, some files give an error something like 'something went wrong playing this file'.Installed Windows 7 codeck pack and K-Lite, surprisingly without any effect.
Up until a couple weeks ago I could view internet videos without a problem. For some reason now I can't view almost all of them. Ill open them up and they just wont load. I have windows 7 on a dell vostro laptop computer and i use Google Chrome, although i have the same issue on IE and Firefox.
Is driving me mad, I'm running a Windows 7, 32 bit laptop and have been ripping CDs to copy onto my USB drive to play in the car, I got about 50 CDs copied tonight and transfered to the USB, I tried it in the car and it was fine, had my tea and copied the rest, tried it in the car and only the ones I'd copied before tea will play, plugged the USB back into the laptop and tried to get it to play using Windows Media Player, the message I'm getting on screen shows this-:"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
I have Windows 7 for about a year now and I really didn't have any problems up until a few months ago. My mouse pointer would start refreshing/flickering every 5 minutes or so and it would slow down anything I was watching or playing at the time. It doesn't really bother me when I watch movies because I can just shake the mouse and it would stop but when I play games I can't do anything about it and so I can't really play any games. I asked my repair man, he also has Windows 7 but he didn't know how to fix it.
I can play recordable DVDR in my player. but anything like a movie or commercial DVD, This message pops up at the bottom Dont know what to do?"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card"
I used to be able to burn them. Not sure where to start.
Sony Vaio VGN-NS230E.

I ran the Microsoft FixIt application but it did not resolve the problem. Fresh install of windows 7. Brand new cdr's. Also, when I insert a blank CD, it doesn't show up in My Computer, however if I insert a CD with data on it(or music), it shows up. Also should point out I have VirtualCloneDrive installed.
I recently bought an ASUS laptop with this configuration: AMD Brazos Dual Core E350, 2GB ram memory which 1.6GB are usable and I guess that the rest it's for video and AMD Radeon HD 6310M graphic card, but i can't play 1080p movies. I have read some reviews and it says that can play smoothly 1080p movies...and i wonder why this isn't work.
I rolled back my computer and fixxed my zunes drm syncing issue. However, WMP 12 still wont play the drm protected content... I've scoured the web and all i find is thread after thread begging for help with this problem. I tried to a drm cleaner on my computer but it cant open the folder its looking for and it wont run in safe mode.
